I can't get "read notifications" or "what's up?" to work. Did they change this since 4.4?

Sorry, I know this probably belongs in the development forum, but I don't have enough posts under my belt. Thought about putting up dummy posts somewhere, but I thought that might be frowned upon.
I'm running unNamed 1.3.0. Is there a mod out there to have call log entries from the same people grouped together? Like if there are several consecutive calls to and from the same person, it would show up as one entry, with the detailed history if you select the grouped item. I think Froyo did this (Atrix and Thrill). I've seen a lot of people ask this question for different devices but not for the GS2, plus having a custom rom (I did search the unnamed dev thread, but I'm not about to go read all 168 pages of that thread; I read about twenty).
I know there are apps out there for my issues but I'd like to avoid that if possible. If that's being too picky, feel free to let me know. Is something like Dialer One the way to go?

call log shortcut
if anyone is interested, there's an app in the Market called Call Log Shortcut. It is exactly what it's called. For some reason I had trouble finding a way to get a call log shortcut. Didn't look in the most obvious place because I'm a moron. I think Froyo had it (or at least the Atrix and Thrill did) but it's not on the GS2.

I no longer see "Search This Forum" or "Search This Thread" buttons anymore. Without a working search function, the forums will get messy real quick.
EDIT: Didn't realize that it was affecting the entire forums... Found an existing thread in the xda-developers.com forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732296. Sorry about that, but searching for something without a search feature is hard.

just type 'xda forum' then your search keywords into google.
Hi everyone,
Since I've upgraded my GS3 to cm10.1 - I keep getting mobile broadcasts saying '020' which is the London area code, why do these keep coming up? Ive tried to disable them but I've run out of options

I'm also getting this. turned off all mobile broadcast options in settings and still getting them. they are only area codes like 020 or 0170 etc. or strings of area codes like that. quite annoying

Turn alert notification ON in mobile broadcast but untick everything else.
I have no idea why it's backwards, it just is.
Had the same problem (in UK too). Quick googling suggested to delete "Mobile Broadcast Receiver" application. Since then no broadcasts anymore!
Is there a way on the lock screen I can get it to say the name of the sender instead of just saying message? Like on my old iphone it would say the name, but I couldmake it just say message instead of saying what the message said. I really just want to see the senders name on the lock screen. Thanks.

open messager, hit the menu button. go into settings and look for an option that says preview message. check it and it will show the persons name and message.
I think he just wants the name of the sender, not the message.

Yea, I really would just like to see the sender, but that may not be possible. I see like being able to see the person who sent it though, the dansan's advice will work.

How? Why? <MOD EDIT> delete this "Google Search" from my phone?
There is my story... everytime I ask why google search opens itself and now I find answer, because when I have phone in my pocket and phone click on "Menu button" for few second or on application then Google search open, I hate this!
What I do. I think when I delete/uninstall this application, then application delete, but it's not TRUE. Now on my phone all desktop application icons are delete (cmon is this possible, <MOD EDIT> Google) but Google search NOT delete and I still have "Google search bar". C'mon not needed I can search from browser if I need something.
Search engine storage (not working) when I click "Clear now" then storage increases... look this permissions for "Google Search" application OMG!... "Ok Google" hotword detection disable but don't know what this mean, my "Menu button" still working when press for few second. Please help me I seriously need remove this application, because NOT USE and NOT NEED this <MOD EDIT> from Google.
