My phone was working perfect it has xposed+root until recently, when the contacts/phone just started crashing whenever I was on anything but the dialer page. What I noticed was the dialer was titled in spanish, even though I have never set anything to spanish anywhere and that when it crashed on recent calls and I opened the dialer the options were Olleh wifi calling. I do know korean and have the keyboard enabled on my phone, but I do not think that would effect the dialer in such a way. Most recent thing I did was install the compatibility patch. Anybody have any ideas, or can provide me with their contacts and phone app? It took me through constant crashes to get these screenshots and the app shortly crashed afterwards saying Contacts has stopped working. My model number is H901 on stock 20j.

If you flashed the xposed second screen fix that's your issue. Reflash the Rom, and xposed without the second screen fix and it should be good

I am using CM7 and I change my phone number by going to Menu>settings>call settings>my phone number but after I shut my phone off it does not stick and it goes back to unknown phone number. Can anyone help me?
Also has anyone successfully used the My Phone Number app by Lytsing to fix this?
it just usually fixes itself....i did reflash back to JFD stock a couple of times and it added my number on there...might try that...but I called t-mobile abt it and they said it corrects itself eventually but I still reverted to stock anyway to correct it.
Like he stated, your phone number should automatically update in the phone. I've never seen an instance where manually updating it would fix it. Have you tried removing the sim, booting the phone, shutting it down, replacing the sim and then booting back up again?
Contacts>menu>More>Settings>Own Number>Menu>Create>Reboot
Sent From My Bullet Fast Winning Vibrant
Thanks to all seemed like it fixed itself, but in cyanogen mod, in the aosp messaging, isn't it supposed to display my picture for messages that I send. I am a bit confused about that.
I had to call T-Mobile to get the number fixed on two of our three phones.
Search the forums (always a good idea), there is a procedure you can tell them to do which should fix it.

It does...you have to add yourself as a contact and it will show your picture
So after trying out a few custom ROMs on my Vibrant I decided to go back to stock KB5 and root it..but now I'm having a weird problem, I noticed since I updated the phone the voicemail notification won't come on. I tried going into the voicemail settings and selecting "My Carrier" but it didn't fix it. I did have Google Voice installed - but not set up with an account, and I just uninstalled it.
I've got it on T-Mobile with Monthly4G. Any ideas? Thanks...
Have you deleted the visual voicemail app by any chance?
Hmm...yes, I did. Since I don't have the service (not available on prepaid) I took it off.
That fixed it though, thanks! Silly carriers...
Struggling with a recent problem.
Using omega 43.3... I've no idea if that is the problem or not, but can't remember it happening before that (was omega 30ish before)
When I receive an SMS (using Handcent as default), the notification shows and if I click on it, it takes me to the Handcent threaded screen. However, if I then close that and it opens the default window (with all the contacts sms listed) it isn't there. If I then close Handcent, and then reopen it, it is?!
The same thing is happening with Call Log... Missed calls etc aren't showing when I access them from the dropdown menu... unless I then close the Call Log app and then go back into it.
I've tried various kernels and modems, and also tried reinstalling handcent, wiping cache/dalvic, fixing permissions etc. Nothing seems to make a difference. Currently on stock modem and kernel

Sorted it. Installed Ultimarom.
call log, messages, viber... not showing new events
I had this problem on JB 4.3 stock samsung sm-n7505 and after zillion read pages about it and rebooting and removing battery and sim and after I deleted entire contact list (by mistake) it turned out that it was the most idiotic problem you can ever think of.
While was in the tight pocket phone unlocked somehow(using pattern) and simply unchecked box (which is deep in the menu) "use network provided time/date" and date was set to a date 5 days earlier. So, all logs and messages were actually in the phone(I could see them in notifications and could send messages and calls), only I did not see them because they were back in the list in the place of 5 days ago. I just checked the damn box and everything was normal again(except my contact list (( ) Crazy. Hope my small contribution will help somebody. Rock on!!!! :good:
Just Got my Le Max 2 820x from Geekbuying yesterday. Seems like a great phone. My one huge problem with it, and I'm hoping it can be solved, is that I sometimes don't receive SMS or MMS when people send them to me. I don't know why it works sometimes and doesn't others. I had a friend send me 7 text messages over the course of the day yesterday and I didn't receive any of them. I used my sons phone to send a test SMS and I didn't get it. Then like 2 seconds later I tried again and got it. I used his phone to send a picture (MMS) and it showed up fine. I texted his phone with the Le Max 2 and it showed up fine. Then I sent a picture (MMS) to his phone and it showed up fine.
I can't be using this phone if I'm going to be missing text messages. It's 95% how I communicate. I've already checked the APN settings and they appear correct. If they weren't, I probably wouldn't be able to send or receive SMS or MMS whatsoever. I'm going to do more testing today, but could DOZE be turning off my cell radio when it goes to sleep somehow so that they phone doesn't "see" the text messages when they come in? I'm hoping it's a software problem. Here's my rom info:
EUI VERSION: 5.8.015S (Stable)
Build Number: FEXCNFN5801507014S
Security Update: June 1, 2016
Please help! Oh, and last thing, I've already tried changing the messaging app from default, to Google Messenger, to Textra and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Try with rom CM13, everything wil be ok.

Search on Playstore Handcent Next SMS and install it than click Inbox > More > Settings > All > MMS (Network settings for MMS) > MMS framework than select Smart > Carrier Setup > Mode (Select from list) than just choose your country and your carrier thats it. I hope you can fix the problem. if you fix the problem just let me know please. Sorry about my english.

I didn't fix it, but I found what the problem was, and I found a workaround. Refer to this post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/help/swiping-app-closed-task-manager-t3481571
Basically, if I leave the messing app (textra) running in the background, I get all the messages and texts. But If I use the app manager/recent apps button and swipe the textra app to close it, somehow the system disables it until I open it again. That's why I was missing messages. So my workaround is to ALWAYS leave the Textra app running in the background and never swipe it closed.

Hi,
I had almost the same issue as you. I did try a custom rom and thought it fixed it, I couldn't unroot that one and BT didn't work though so I went back to stock, sometimes with SMS and some times without. Then the other day I was peeking in the hidden menu and saw something I couldn't understand "SMS over IMS" - it's apparently a way to use SMS as a IP-messenger i.e SMS over LTE. I tried to set it to "NO" which seems to have fixed it.
can you tell where is this hidden menu for "SMS over IMS"?
Thanks!
Hi,
Iam from India and i'm using leX821 version of le max 2. Here,I use a 4G network called Jio. So automatically my data turns on and off while surfing the net. Please reply for the answer
Whenever I install a launcher on stock 6.0 firmware my phone doesn't notify me when I get a call. It maybe shows 1 but the other calls that I know I received do not show a notification nor in the call logs. I only know I got the call after receiving a voicemail. This happens after installing any custom rom as well. The call that came through was a number on my contacts list idk if that is relevant. I am asking for the precise things I need to do to get call notifications to work i.e. defaults and such things. The only way I can get call notifications to work for all calls is to go back to stock, and as soon as I would install a launcher boom 99% calls I do not get notified.

Add a solved tag in thread name.
This is an continuation to the problem to try and figure out a fix. The solved bit was not correct I just went back to stock.

Update: I set app permissions, default app settings and phone manager notifications to whatever launcher I use and that still doesn't fix the problem. I have tried what is mentioned in other threads as the above without success which is why this thread was created. I'm not sure if my phone is somehow "notification bricked" after installing an launcher.
