I downgraded to 4.5.3 and kingroot is already on my tablet, how do I update back to 5.3.1 and keep my root? and also, how do I use menu add ons from the google playstore? (ex. sword art online ui, hatsune miku interactive wallpaper, matrix live wallpaper, etc) and also, what root apps are essential for every rooted device?

1. A rooted Samsung Galaxy Star.
2. CWM version 6.
Steps:
1. Install Xperia Pirates ROM. For help go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748747. 80% of job done. Now its time to do small things that really matter.
2. You can install stock Sony Apps (like a Normal apk). Unfortunately I could not make stock phone and messaging app on our phone. Apps are included in attachments.
3. Although the ROM themes the elements, the progress bar is not that Xperia like, so install Smooth system progressbar (Xposed Module).
4. The Lockscreen Remains unchanged, install Xperia lockscreen from this post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687654.
5. What's still missing is the bootanimation, unfortunately I could not find Xperia bootanimation, if you find it, please comment with the link
Some instructions to make the ROM more meaningful and beautiful
1. Change android version to 4.4, because by default it comes with 4.4.2 xperia pirates, but on launching the easter egg, you find 4.4. You can change it by editing build.prop.
2. Keep the font size of the home screen and app drawer at 13.9. you can change it in launcher settings.
3. You can use seeder to reduce lag.

I found the Xperia boot animation credit to Annan Dev, and here is the link
Please provide me the contact.apk of sony xperia pirates rom separately thanks....
I recently have noticed the drastic increase of people downgrading to 3.2.8 and installing Nexus ROM on their devices. Let's be honest; stock JB isn't visually appealing, and with GAPPS it still doesn't meet the criteria for a modern Android ROM. I would like to present to you, Project ReTHORmation! My goal is get rid of what doesn't meet modern design standards, and to add a modern look to JB. The base is the same as the Safestrap version of the Nexus ROM to insure compatibility with 3.2.8 users. I believe Project ReTHORmation should run on older firmware versions (prior to 3.2.7). I've included GAPPS and a few other apps. I'll post some of them down below:
Greenify
HKThemes Xposed module
Gravity Box
Xposed
Black Out Theme BetterKat
Evernote
Nova Launcher
N7 Camera app
ES File Explorer
Google Keyboard
APK Tool
SuperSU
BusyBox
Chrome Dev
etc...
Here are my questions:
1. How do I compress this in a flashable format (/data and /system) without compromising my privacy (accounts, passwords, etc.) whilst still keeping settings in tact?
2. Is anyone interested in this project/want to help test it?
3. Could I compile openGL 3 and ART (which are included in 4.3) on 4.2.2?
4. Do you guys prefer Mega or Google Drive ?

Hey I'm new here and I got a question hoping someone can help me,
I have a Zenfone 2 551ML running Android 5.0 with root, TWRP, busybox and xposed.
I recently removed all my bloatware with TitaniumBackup like all the Asus custom stuff I don't need.
I also deleted the "Flashlight" app and the "Boost" app (with Backup). Now the shortcuts in the quicksettings bar for flashlight or boost make the SystemUI stop. I tried backing up the apps with Titanium but it didn't change anything and after a thounsand times of reflashing my phone I really don't wanna reset everything again. SO:
Can I remove the Asus quicksettings bar and replace it with the standard android quick settings bar?
I've searched everywhere but couldn't find any help.
Try android n-ify from xposed

Hi everyone,
For those who installed this recent release, can you tell us what you feel about it ?
Especially, I would like to Know if it's still possible to use a custom launcher (Nova) and a gesture nav app (Fluid) by selecting "Gestures" as system navigation and then "Hide full screen indicator"
Thanks in advance for all your feedbacks
No one ?

Most of users on AOSP, but gestures issue is still there. for system launcher it updated separated (from get apps) not according to system firmware.
and it updated but nothing important just some Fixes ..

Thanks for your reply,
I know that many (I wouldn't say most...) users here uses AOSP, and I know gesture issue is still there. I also know that system launcher can be updated separately, but it is ALSO updated with system update.
The thing is that starting from a given version, the gesture problem is even worse, because the workaround (hiding nav bar and using gesture app) is no longer applicable.
So, that's why I would like to know the exact version that comes with this update.
OK, I got the information from somewhere else :
This update commes with system launcher v4.21.15.3117-07201713
Which means that we should still be able use a 3rd party launcher and a gesture app with navbar hidden.
