Hi,
First, sorry for my bad English.
After a ODIN failed, my phone is bricked with this message : "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I wanted to flash this ROM by ODIN, i put it in "AP" : http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/74283/G920FXXS3DPF1_G920FOXA3DPDP_XEF
Before it, i had a problem, my tel boot again and again on Samsung screen. I couldn't switch on my phone. But download mode still worked.
Since this flash, i have this error message.
After this problem, i tried to flash this ROM, but the problem persists : http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/45306/G920FXXU1AOCV_G920FOXA1AOCV_XEF
The flash failed again.
I tried emercengy recovery on Smart Switch but it doesn't recognize my phone.
ODIN still recognizes it.
Do you have an idea for my problem ?
I had an origin ROM, my phone was just rooted since few months.
My phone was bought in pre-order in march 2015 on samsung.fr (i'm french).
Thanks a lot !
Hi !
I tried to flash a full ROM (with 4 files) : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B40ItdHKfkyQZkJtZlNseF9yMGc
It's failed at sboot.img
I flashed the CSC alone. I have now the download mode. And when i want to start my phone, he's in bootloop.
When i'm in the other mode (not download, the other), i can see a version of ROM : G920FXXU3DPBG
So i tried to flash this rom : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B40ItdHKfkyQQ1AyUHduRV9NM2c
But same problem...
Any help please ?

Hi everyone
First I am sorry for my poor English, it's not my first language
I was about to update kernel to rj's custom kernel through odin but it failed. So i rebooted the divice and got this image
i1290.photobucket.com/albums/b525/jigarmehta006/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Black_Screen_of_Death_zps9403e7af.jpg (sorry i can't post an image)
Now i can't even go to download mode.
I tried One click unbrick but it keep show the Unspecified error message: " Is your phone plugged in? Is it in download/soft brick mode? ..." (I installed heimdall and driver in the instruction)
Can you guys please tell me how to fix it.
My device is Samsung S wifi 5.0 YP-G70CW with physical home button, stock rom 2.3.6 and it isn't root.
Hello everyone, I have a problem with Bell sgs2 and I'm from Ukraine,so please sorry for my English.
A little bit of history: my sister from Canada closed her contract with bell and sent me the phone. As it turned out, device was still locked, so I tried to download the latest firmware and make unlock. Firstly I tried to unlock the phone running Android 2.3.3 with custom kernel by using galaxy_S unlock app, it was succesful, but I wanted latest firmware and tried to flash different unofficial ROMs. Every time I did it nothing happened because of different errors.
Problem starts here:
Then installed rooted official ROM Android ICS with Odin and noticed that in Kies there was an update for my device. Tried to install it, but it failed when the phone was in download mode (because of damaged usb cable maybe). In Kies they wrote that I should disconnect device and take out battery. I did it.
Now when I turn it on it stops on Samsung logo. I still can open download mode or stock recovery, which is great. But the problem is that Odin doesn't recognize the phone anymore while it is in download mode. Tried to uninstall, install drivers - nothing happened. The good thing is that I can see my phone with adb when it is in recovery, tried to install some zips from sideload or external sd card - nothing happened ( Error, status 7). So basically I can't install official md5 ROM from sammobile because of Odin and can't find normal zips for recovery.
Please help Will be grateful!!!
HELLO,
I own a samsung galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231(4 GB) and i am running stock firmware (JB 4.4.2) , rooted and don't know that the bootloader is unlocked or not. It was stuck in a bootloop , I know that it need's to be factory data reset but i accidently formatted it . I was using TWRP . I know that it need's samsung kies . I don't know that the USB Debugging is on or not. Whether i should use ODIN or SAMSUNG KIES , and how to use them.
Hi,
Reboot into Download mode and flash your stock firmware with Odin. AFAIR we don't care about usb debugging while being into this mode. I think there's no bootloader to unlock with this tablet.
Thanks

I don't think so.
Samsung Kies is bs but Odin is the official unofficial tool to flash firmwares on Samsung devices.

Hi , try to put your phone into Download mode , and use latest Odin version in order to re-flash the latest stock version of OS if you are note sure which one is , just send me 7 and 8 number from imei ...
Thank you for your answer, I managed to fix my phone by flashing the latest firmware. I was downloading it from a website and it turns out it wasn't the last one.
After I looked on different site, I went on sammobile and I downloaded the latest version, It took me one entire day, the download speed was slow AF and my internet connection crashed in the middle of it.
I had to ask a friend to download it at his place and then, bring it to me.
I'm really happy, I managed to fix it.
I attempted to flash my SM-T970 XAR with stock firmware using Odin. It failed, and now says "An error has occurred while updating the device software". Is there any way I can recover or have I just bricked my S7+? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Try the Samsung smart switch(PC) to recovery if not you need fine the frp hijack by hagard do recovery(sofebrick)...reboot it will got you back to download mode.
Smart switch was unable to locate the device, but I tried flashing again using Odin and it worked this time! No idea why the first time failed - I did it exactly the same way.
