Installed Chinese 16s, factory reset it and placed 17s update on SDcard and renamed to update.zip
The offline update failed. (Message from LE's stock recovery)
Tried to flash through TWRP on Chinese 16s and it gave error Bluetooth.odex has unexpected errors.
My phone is not rooted or modified in any way.
The 17s package is 100% problematic and fails no matter what.
Is there anything else special that needs to be done?
Iam using the one I've uploaded.
I was on 16s with twrp and supersu.
My steps were.
Full unroot via the SuperSU app
Rename file to update zip and put on sdcard
Go into recovery which is now the std recovery, unrooting for some reason removed twrp.
Select update and of it went ,done.
That's all I can really tell you.

Yes. It still fails regardless.
Have you got a Baidu account if so try get it from the source. I will post in a minute.

I installed the update, thanks for the links (found at LeEco Forum).
I installed it in one pass with twrp. Copied all files to internal storage, installed CN-16S, installed Update-CN-17S, installed XPOSED and installed SuperSu_2.76. After reboot and optimizing apps, all is ok again, update finished...
Until now I didn´t see any issues or problems, have to test more and will post, if there are any (for me)...

This update checks all checksums of Apps and Libs before Update, because its only a patch for all these files. So if you not on China-16S base, you cant use this update...
The Chinese 16s fill ROM from Le website is slightly a newer version than what this 17s update zip expects. I get the version mismatch error in TWRP.
I again downloaded the exact same version file of 16s from Le website as requested by TWRP. But after installing, TWRP again reports that it is not the same version. Installed version is different than file name.
I used LE_X2_X820-CN-FN-FEXCNFN5801607221S-5.8.016S.zip from this website http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_max2.html as base. But I didnt download it again, I had it already downloaded at 8.8.2016... Not sure if it is really different, but I dont think so. May be used TWRP is the problem. In LeEco Forum, they say you should use this one https://mega.nz/#!ll1Q1CYT!DzImTgertrc9yg23s9puKToL8XeEU24H3-9BsooVbMI
I installed Chinese 14s which I had downloaded a month ago. I factory reset it. When I booted into it, it doesn't offer me OTA update to 15s.
Is my phone phuc**d?
BTW that recovery is the same 14s recovery which does not work. Just gives Blue Led of Death BLOD.
Use the twrp auto installer from XDA at the end when it says to push any button to finish,DONT. Unplug from USB and hold volume up and power button till it boots to twrp recovery. I would always get the blod when I done the last step of push any button. Are you guys unrooting your phone first via the SuperSU app and then going into recovery after unrooting as my twrp goes after unrooting.

Back to stock
ZVA is out and I was going to update, but when I opened the app to flash stock recovery and the other partitions, it backed up the already modified partitions. I am hoping to avoid having to flash stock with lg flash tool. Does anyone have suggestions on how to modify the backup the app thinks is stock so I can go back to actual stock? I used Auto rec since jelly bean on the g2 and love how well this works! Any help is much appreciated

I kept getting this. Did you ever get out to work?
I just tried this yesterday on a new Sprint G3 on ZVA. The process seemed to work fine, but when it was a complete, I booted up to the "Security Error" and had to flash stock.
So i did this (on ZVA) but before i did it i downloaded a CyanogenMod nightly to my external sd card and after i flashed twrp and when i went to boot up into stock ROM i got the security error also.. so i just went into twrp and flashed the CyanogenMod ROM and it booted fine
any more info on this? I am rooted but hesitant to install this recovery. I do want CM but I want to be able to go back to a stock rooted as well. By the looks of it, i cant?

You can get back to stock if you use lg flash tool to go stock and re-root. But if you use this to flash twrp then download CyanogenMod first and make sure you have it saved to your sd card because you wont be able to boot into your stock rom because of the security error.
Also you might be able to to flash a stock rooted ROM but i haven't tried one yet

I was stock the whole time, the only exception was busybox. I gave up and flashed the ZVA TOT. It was boring and frustrating, so I'm back on ZV8 and used autorec again and made sure to keep a backup in the cloud in case i ran into the same problem. If you hear of anyone having the same issue I can provide all the files needed and would be more than willing to send them to whoever needs them.

Also. First boot is taking ages
I'm so excited! AH. I need to get Odin now -.-
How does everyone like it so far?
Also, does anyone know if it would be a good idea for me to flash back to the stock Lollipop rom and then flash the update via Odin? I'm on a custom rom right now and I don't know if that will mess things up.
I was rooted on FOL1, flashed the marshmallow update via odin. Make sure you factory reset to set the binary status as offical, because I'm having booting issues

Have you been able to Root? Please share your experience. Can't wait really!
I'm still waiting on the update to boot.
Hmmm, after rebooting and upgrading the "google Play Services" app, Google play finds an update for Samsung Voice Recorder which won't update and crashes with an error code 505. Will try and mess with the permissions for that app.
Decided to flash the stock rooted rom and update via Kies. As of right now it is optimizing app 105/273
Update: It rebooted after optimizing the last app and now its been hanging out at the T-Mobile screen for the last four or so minutes
Update 2: FINALLY got it to boot :3 I ended up flashing the image again through Odin~
Update 3: Rooted (followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...sm-g900t-firmware-t3358190/page4#post66995024)
Yay~ Marshmallows
Edit: It looks like some people are having trouble with this update so I'm going to give a quick rundown of what I did and how I got everything to go smoothly. Now I'm not saying this is the correct way to things because most likely it isn't, but this is is just what I did that worked (for me, hopefully for you too).
Step 1. I flashed the stock rooted rom on my phone and unrooted it (not sure if this part is necessary) and then connected it to Kies to let it update that way (I was too lazy to mess with Odin tbh).
Step 2. After realizing I had been stuck on the T-Mobile splash screen for about 20 minutes to long I downloaded the image from the Mega link provided on this thread. Booted the phone into download mode, flashed via Odin, phone booted properly in no time.
Step 3. Installed Custom Recovery and Rooted the phone following the method in the link posted above.
MARSHMALLOW PARTY~
So I installed via Odin and as I was going through the initial setup it asks about WiFi and I turn it on and it keeps turning itself off after a few seconds.
UPDATE: Rebooted and was able to get WiFi to stay on.

What root options should we be trying? CF Auto Root?
I installed this over the top of Lollipop using Odin. all my data carried over and everything seems to be running just fine. Installed TWRP and SuperSU, roots working just fine as well.
Only issue I'm coming across is an update to the Samsung voice recorder in the Play Store keeps failing with error 505.

The last working version is:
Code:
twrp-3.1.1-0-x2.img 57.9M 2017-05-18 12:31:53 EDT
TWRP 3.1.1-1 never boots.
Right, the last one (3.1.1.1) is only 28.5M in size. Maybe it's not build right.
Guys I'm on latest build 3.1.1-1 (28.56 MB) and it works fine

Has anyone had any problems with a version 3.1 advanced Cuoco?
Can I install without any problems?
I've only used the official ones from the TWRP website, they've worked fine for all the roms I test.
My biggest concern is the size of this version build. It is 2 times smaller than previous builds. Why is that?
Even if it is not corrupted, it looks more broken than usual.

I test it here and TWRP does not start. Just a black screen and blue notification led. Although the system works normal.
If TWRP 3.1.1-1 doesn't work for you please leave a comment or like the first post here: https://github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/issues/993
I flashed this version not realizing the size, and EUI just optimizes apps as its booting but never boots. I can I revert back to twrp-3.1.0-0-x2?
EDIT: Nevermind, I booted into fastboot (power + vol down) and plugged my x829 into my Ubuntu Linux box, downloaded twrp-3.1.0-0-x2.img and ran adb commands from Linux cli to force the recovery file to the phone.
Is it necessary to update if I'm ok with the current one? I don't wanna mess with it? I'm currently using v3.0.2-1-x2
Argghhhhhh"!!!!
Can someone please help me out ASAP?.
I am so confused and mind boggled!.
I have a HUAWEI P10 (VTR-L09). I have a problem with the main camera, it is blurry. I tried everything to get it working apart from another rom/flash. I tried flashing stock UPDATE.APP rom to the phone but always got FAILED error!. So, Yesterday i spent literally ALL DAY unlocking the bootloader, rooting, installing TWRP/SU..etc. I looked at endless guides and tutorials, but links for certain software used are either dead or not relevant to my phone!. Eventually i got there.
Now i wanted to flash a rom, it seems every phone i own, every time i go to root and flash a rom to each phone the procedure is completely different and its getting ridiculously difficult now to do it (for me anyway).
I followed a procedure to turn the update.app into RECOVERY/SYSTEM/BOOT img files. I went into TWRP and flashed BOOT and RECOVERY. Now the phone wont boot up.
I am without a phone. Im mind boggled, after you've stopped laughing, can anyone please guide me????.
I no longer have the STOCK recovery... i am using TWRP. There's no damn rom flash files for my model phone on this forum!...that i can see!.
I am trying to ask on the huawei section, but it seems nobody is alive in there.
Help?

What is TWRP forums? where is it? do you have a link?. Please dumb everything down for me because i don't understand about recovery/flashing/roms/backups. I know nothing and i don't understand it (it is beyond my capabilities).
I made a massive mistake in doing what i have done so far without checking XDA for a custom rom for my phone. I just assumed it will exist, someone, somewhere has made one. But it seems they haven't.

After getting there find Your File(Named Update.zip).

I have finally done it!.
Phew!. It is not easy!. Well its easy with this simple step by step guide. But not so easy following articles from XDA.
I followed these files and this guide:
http://www.stechguide.com/huawei-p10-b133-nougat-update/
Surprised no such info exists on XDA.
Unfortunately, after getting my phone back up and running again, my original problem still persists. That is the rear camera blurry in colour mode, but perfectly fine in black and white mode. The software refresh was my last resort since i've already physically changed the camera lens twice. I guess the phone is faulty, funny thing is other people have this same problem as mine.

So, my phone is stickered as a Huawei H710VL. I guess Huawei uses an EMUI (?). When I tap "about phone," the EMUI logo is at the top, and at the very bottom it says, "custom version: CUSTC378D002."
I did not customize this myself.
How can I play around with changing my phone? I've been wanting to root it FOREVER but I can't seem to find anything online, and if I do, I'm too much of a confused noob to make it happen....
Help, please??
So, I've been at this for the better part of three hours now, and I'm having a hell of a go at it. Every time I download one, I get an error from ADB "Cannot read <filename>" which doesn't seem to happen with any of the regular stuff like AOSPEx or LoS.... However, as both time and bandwidth are worth something, I figure asking for assistance at this point is warranted.
All I am looking for is either a STOCK rom or something with the EUI base that can be loaded on a Le Max 2 x829. Would someone very kindly link me if they know of one that has a WORKING download? I've had no luck with Gdrive hosted downloads, so I'd really like to avoid those if possible. Hell, the rom doesn't even have to be that good, just stable. I don't intend to keep it.
Unfortunately, my FP scanner is kill, and I fear I may have done this with some bad electronics, but I'm trying the software methods that have enjoyed some success to bring it back to life, as I'd like to sell the phone. Nothing against it, just time for something better is all. I'd like to avoid having to give a sharp discount on account of the dead FP however :\
Thank you for any assistance.
Heyyo, here is the long lost stock EUI ROM 5.8.020s for x829
https://www.needrom.com/download/5-8-020s-x829-le_x2_na/
It's right when LeEco dropped their video service so it comes with Netflix instead of levideo

Also, that ADB error could just be an old TWRP bug if you're trying to sideload. I'd recommend using latest official TWRP.

@ThE_MarD - Is it mandatory to use TWRP to flash this rom? I am on India 5.8.0.19s at the moment but stock recovery when trying to update to this one says:
Failed to update!
Cause: corrupted
Failed to update: APK not found
Heyyo, hmm you might need to at least use bootloader with fastboot boot TWRP-3.2.1-2-x2.img
If you use fastboot boot instead of fastboot flash? It will only temporarily boot to TWRP instead of flashing over your recovery which is nice in cases like this where you wish to retain your stock recovery... Albeit, I think stock EUI ROM zips always overwrite recovery.
Otherwise? Sorry I can't remember where I saw it but ChrisBalGreece did have a stock recovery.img and misc.img which works good... Maybe check out his thread or ask him on his Telegram channel or maybe it was on his AndroidFileHost account? Sorry I can only give advice at this point...
I do remember his stock EUI recovery that Microsoft Security Essentials picks up this flash script as a virus but I wouldn't worry about it. Just reboot your device to bootloader and use...
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot flash misc misc.img
Damnit... looks like I fried the scanner. Oh well, I'm sure someone would still buy it.

Sorry bud for that I'm not sure what you can do. I saw some threads talk about flashing a really old version of EUI ROM stock... Maybe searching XDA threads might turn up a solution?
Otherwise, you can try and contact the vendor who sold you the phone and see if they have and QFIL files or whatever they are called to try and restore the fingerprint reader.
There is some messed up QFIL files out there on the internet that cause a bad display split screen issue so I wouldn't try those

I have suspicion it may be legitimate HW damage. In my adventure to find a working Qi tag, I tried a Chinese one that was perhaps... not adequate to the task. I plugged it in, tried it, and the scanner hasn't (despite working wonderfully to that point) worked since. Too coincidental, in all probability. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Weird but this TWRP also says zip file corrupted. Checked .zip file with integrity check and downloaded one more time and tried again but still.
Nevermind , downloaded .zip file once more and flashed succesfully by TWRP. Thank You, ThE_MarD!

Yeah my bad hahaha Burgerking is right it is 5.8.020s for x829. Either way, it is 20s EUI Marshmallow for x829. :silly:
Hmmmm. I did a QFIL flash with the x820 files.... didn't seem to do anything. Anyhow, I have since flashed the newest TWRP and AOSPEx(8.1, Apr 29/18) and while it's not working... well.... I did get a vibrate and at least 1 bar of progress on committing the fp, so.... there's hope!
Edit: There was not hope. It's phantom pressing. At least now I know it's HW definitively.

Ah that is unfortunate but at least you gave it a go
Have fun on your future device! Upgrading is always nice. I don't see myself upgrading for a while though as I don't have the spare finances to get a proper upgrade. :silly:
