Anyone here debloated their

Anyone tried it?

[Q] How can I uninstall the useless bloatware?

I have already rooted my phone and honestly now have no idea how to uninstall all of the social, media, game hubs that Samsung puts on their custom. Any suggestions? Thank you
Titanium backup. Uninstall or freeze. Your choice

Yes Titanium back-up allows you to either uninstall or freeze apps (making them inactive). This will require root, however there are literally hundreds of guides online to do this.

TTBK is much more slower than System App Removers.

What is the deal with Samsung Push Service?

So samsung apps insists on install this thing every time it starts, and it doesn't really do anything.
Except sometimes it cause 100% wakelock.
If I uninstall it, the next time I start samsung apps it's automatically installed again. Anyone knows what it's for, and how to kill it permanently (i.e. not let samsung apps reinstall it)?
The goal of the Samsung Push Service is to notify you of updates for Samsung Apps installed on your device via the Samsung App Store. I only use Samsung Apps once in a while and uninstall push service etc afterwards.

Just remove it after you've installed any apps etc, unless you're a regular user

Can you clarify what you mean by 'i uninstall it' .I mean do you stop it or do you actually uninstall it. And if you stop it where do you 'stop' that Piece of crap from. Thanks in advance

You'd stop it the same way you'd uninstall it. Go to Settings --> Applications --> Manage Applications, find Samsung Push Service, click on it and hit Force Stop.
I uninstall it after using the Samsung App Store, but the OP is correct, it will reinstall after using Samsung App Store the next time. If you force it to stop, it should stay stopped.
I've never received any notice from it. I wonder if freeze it with Ti back up will work, can't try since I don't have pro version.

[Q] Disabling bloatware / AT&T apps

I haven't seen a list of bloatware / AT&T apps that are safe to remove. So I thought I will ask:
- Which apps that you know are NOT SAFE to remove?
- I keep seeing in the task bar a double-arrow icon, indicating that an AT&T app is checking for software update. As a matter of fact, I did receive a message from it about a new software update. Which .apk I need to disable for this?
Again, this is only for the bloatware.
I deleted everything that had at&t in front of it. At&t messaging, my at&t, at&t navigation and the at&t update services thats the blue and red arrows you are seeing. I did this through task manager.

I should also mention that I am rooted using a stock gingerbread rom.

Thanks for the info. No problem so far with freezing these AT&T apps, including AT&T Update Services?
BTW, when you said "delete", did you mean "freezing it with Titanium Backup" or you actually REMOVE the .apk?
I froze the above apps using TB, but it is still shown in Google Play as being installed and needing update.
You can search XDA for "apps safe to remove". The SGS-II forums have a spreadsheet that works for the note.

With Google Play, the feature to DETACH from Market no longer works. So even if the app is frozen, it is still shown in Google Play, especially if there is an update.
This applies to ALL bloatware. After a while, you'll see tons of these in your Google Play list and you no longer can select
"Update All".
Can we SAFELY move the .Apk from /system/apps?
I deleted them. I froze them first and then deleted ecerything with at&t on it through task manager.

I delete a majority of the bloatware, especially if I know I will never use it.
How did you DELETE these built-in apps?
There is NO uninstall feature, even when accessing it from System --> Applications --> Manage Applications.

If you have root on your phone, many third party apps will allow you to delete them. A popular one around here is Titanium Backup. I highly suggest installing this and purchasing the key (although the free version will work just as well). Its a staple in apps to install for rooted phones.
I deleted them through task manager. I used the uninstall feature. Try it.

I use titanium backup to uninstall what I don't want, you have to be rooted though.

Can I delete Social Hub without any problems?

I havent tried the social hub not sure I would since its samsung software.

I have removed Social Hub without issue
Sent from my G-Note Beast.......
same here, social hub deleted and no problems........and of course all the AT&T crap since I'm with TMobile
Just a helpfull hint for safety.
Personaly I would use titanium backup (in batch) to freeze apps you may want to uninstall.. leave them frozen for a few days to ensure there are no problems.. if once your sure there are no problems you can uninstall them (delete).. Uninstall can be done most of the time though the task manager .. but if that does not work titanium backup will most defently do it..
As someone else pointed out.. I did a search for i717 app safe to remove and got this nice spread sheet..

Delete Pre loaded application

Hi Friends,
I am using Samsung galaxy S plus (Android 2.3.4) rooted, looking some way to uninstall preloaded applications.
wondering if there is any way to achieve this.
am sorry if the same question has already been asked, I am new to this community and after searching did not find anything satisfactory.
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda app-developers app
Use Titanium Backup. Then just convert the unneeded 'system apps' to 'user apps' and uninstall them..
I would recommend you to use 'freeze' option before deleting the app, in case you deleted system critical app you would have still a chance to revert. Freeze the app then use your phone normally, if everything goes normal then you can safely delete.
hey guys thanks for the reply i found a free app which moves system app to user app.
app name is "/system/app mover"
which work for almost every application

would be ideal to decide for their own applications to be installed during the first ignition.

Apps safe to disable?

Anyone have a list of apps they safely disabled without breaking anything else?
Thanks
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
you can disable any of the "allowed" apps in the stock application manager without breaking anything. Once we get root, then obviously you will have to be more carefull, especially with system apps(green android icons).
