It's the end of Z2's life cycle, Sony officially discontinued support for this device. Can we expect a stable Android 7.0 custom ROM?

Flyme 6.0 Beta ROM based on Android 7.0 Nougat launching in early October written by Onkar Soundankar September 16, 2016
Meizu smartphones are no doubt successful in the Chinese and Indian markets thanks to their decent designs and price points. The company has been making smartphones that considerably resemble Apple’s iPhone. Meizu Flyme OS, which powers the company’s smartphones, is rather intuitive thanks to the gestures and tweaks on offer. Recent rumors indicated that version 6.0 of Flyme OS would be released on September 13; that didn’t happen, and Weibo leakster @kjuma has now revealed that Flyme OS 6.0 – based on Android 7.0 Nougat – could arrive in early October. The first firmware, which will be a beta update, will be released in China.
The stable update will apparently be made available in November. The latest version of Android, which was unveiled by Google a couple of weeks ago, is likely making Meizu work on the update faster than before. We saw Xiaomi release the MIUI 8 update, based on Android Marshmallow, for its devices a few days back, and the company has already started development of MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. Meizu is currently preparing to launch the Meizu Pro 7, which will run Flyme OS 6.0 and will be released sometime next year.

** This means we will get cm14 in the future **
I'm sceptic... But I hope so...
Let's hope it will be available for Pro 5 :/
Why the long faces, lets do the math here:
1. Android is based on Linux which falls under the GPLv2 license, thus Meizu has to release the kernel source.
2. Android is open source under the Apache license thus Cyanogenmod inherits this.
So we can compile Android for Meizu Pro5. Will it be easy ? Probably not. Is it do-able, hell yeah.
EDIT: Faust93 started working on Android 7.0 Nougat link
Any one is there to port latest android naugat update 7.1.2
Peace out man....its just released,.....give developers some time to update the roms
7.1.2 is not yet out in stable version. And only Google's own devices get beta android updates. But hopefully it will be available in the coming weeks for everyone.
There are rumors of 3rd April as the date.
Anyone planning to build linageos for the Xperia X ?
Xperia X forum lacks developers and custom roms, sony even has released the code for Oreo kernel but despite this our device lacks roms and mods
I haven't seen any recent Sony Devices that get Official Lineage OS, at least from 2014. So, don't put any hopes on X
Hi, this thread will be about project treble's connection with Mi5
I'm starting with a question about MI5 receiving Project Treble, is it likely?
You are free to post everything known and unknown about the topic.
It is unlikely unless Xiaomi releases Oreo upgrade with Project treble support. Since devices that upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo are not required to support and it is unlikely for any devices to unofficially receive Project Treble support via custom ROM development.
Hey guys... What do you think is "more efficient"? The new emui 9.1 Android 9.1 official rom or e.g OpenKirin OmniROM Beta 3 or Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1?
I like to think that they are better when it comes to customize my device...
Thank you all for your answers!
I posed a similar question a few days ago about stock vs customer Roms but no replies. My general feeling is that with the stability of a the stock Huawei and a few non root tweeks (ADB bloatware removal and another launcher) I have a very stable usable and snappy phone... However each person uses their phone differently. I hope so either weigh in for you.
It depends on what you're doing with your device, it is stock android p is already OTA and my personal opinion is keep stick to stock because this is not a flagship device and moderators are give up easily.
