Hi there,
i was using all the time Stamina Mode in Lollipop, after the Upgrade to Marshmallow, there is only the standard doze mode.
but i think the Stamina mode was much better if you were using your phone much, maybe the doze is better for real standby... but atm im not Happy with my battery life.
So is there any option to add the stamina mode to Marshmallow?. ( i saw some posts that there were tests running doze+stamina but no real answers)
Thanks for helping me out

.291 should have Stamina Mode installed.
If not, you may try flashing the Xperia X system ui + lockscreen + stamina mode addon ported by Ben Ling.

I have had the same problem when I updated.
even after switching on all power saving features it doesn't last a day.
What does it say uses most battery if you look at the stats?

Screen. As always. I think the battery drain comes with the performance boost?
Stock and locked xGO beans.
What about WiFi idling in the background or any app on the top 10 list? =)
I know my phone drains battery fast as hell if Wifi is turned on, way more on JB than ICS.

ICS was very kind on battery. I would have wifi on the whole night and still would have less than 5% deduction when I woke up.
Whatever drain JB has is something else. Then again, ICS isn't as buttery as this.
Stock and locked xGO beans.
The longest I have been running with my battery after official JB update was 2 and 1/2 days.
I only used stamina mode to save power. It's pretty cool really.
I just disabled and force stop some apps that I do not use.
It helps a lot..
Same with my ICS.

I've disabled almost everything that can be disabled. Would be great if I could root this thing easily so I could get greenify and cpu sleeper installed.
Stamina mode kind of works (no notification led) but it was doing great on ICS even without any stamina mode turned on.

More importantly, were you able to set your screen brightness to it's minimum, or at least 1-2 stops from minimum will do.
In my experience, screen brightness does a lot of battery consumption.

Anything more than what I did with ICS means that something's up with JB. :cyclops: My brightness was always on auto 50%.
Hi, I have a Xperia P running a cm10 based rom, is there an apk or anything to do to have the stamina mode on my device? because I noticed that the battery lastes less, especially during standby. Thanks to all :good:

i think its because of background processes. go to developer options and reduce animation scales to .5 and keep limited processes. u can use greenify app. we can choose processes and can also hibernate them.
ok thanks I will try it, but you didn't answer my question

stamina mode is like a power saver mode which dont allow some processes to run depending on battery status . I have mentioned earlier to use greenify which dont allow more power consumption and reduction of scale animations would hep ur device to work fast.

Can you be more specific about "less", what is the drain per hour for standby, is data/wifi/BT on?
Do you usually turning on the stamina mode settings in your Z2?

My stamina mode is always on but appears not to work at all. I keep getting notifications on both wifi and LTE from all apps that can produce them (not only whitelisted), and I get them immediately even when the "queue background data" is on.
I tend to be forgiving because battery life is fantastic. With my normal use I usually don't go under 60% at the end of the day. The phone uses maybe 0.5% / h when idle.
Indeed, stamina mode does prolong the battery. I got 2days 18hours till10% on stamina mode without any wifi, but on 3G.
Always on with around 8 apps on the white list. Get 2 days of normal day to day use. A little less if on heavy usage

Always on, but as someone stated, i dont see it working. Dont get me wrong, battery life is amazing, just that my background data seems to be working same way doesnt matter stamina on or off.. for example i have torrent app, its not on whitelist, still downloads just fine after phone goes to sleep.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you want Stamina mode to always be on you have to change the setting:
Settings > Power management > STAMINA mode > Activation
to 100%
I did some tests because I was confused after reading the manual, and it appears to me that just toggling STAMINA mode to "on" does not turn it on permanently. It still waits for the battery level to drop to the activation threshold you set.
I personally set mine to 20% because I don't want STAMINA mode on all the time.
Let us know if you know more about this or experiment more and get some results. The manual is really not very clear on STAMINA mode.

Good observation, I haven't use the stamina mode since it came out of the box. How was the battery life when Stamina mode is on?

Great. I'm a little curious about the battery life of the new HTC M8 if they can also get 2 days in stamina mode? Same settings as yours?

It seemed very good, maybe half the drain of regular mode, but I have limited experience because the Z2 battery is so good I rarely go below 20% :victory:
Hey guys, yesterday I just got my third Z2 due to faults with the others and I simply don't understand what is wrong with this phone! My estimated time with stamina mode is down to 1 day and a few hours again down from 6 days yesterday night! Is it the way I am charging it or is it just buggy software? I don't have any apps I don't need on my phone and even tap to wake is off. The battery works normally I guess although it is draining a bit fast (7% in 30 minutes while using it) but I don't understand what could be causing stamina mode to play up!
Is there a work around for the notification lights not working as normal in stamina mode. Its the only thing that stops me using it daily.

Yes, you need to install Xposed Framework and load the Xperia Stamina LED module. You'll need to be rooted first however.

If Stamina doesn't work, try to clear cache & data in settings / app / eco controller

I've seen this "eco controller" in previous Xperia models' forums, but couldn't find it on the Z2.
Am I missing something?

My bad, settings / app / all / eco controller
I have a question for people who are using lollipop right now. I saw that there is a ultra stamina mod in that version for z ultra. It is a nice addition but it's kind of useless as well as low power saving mode present in kitkat. I wonder if Sony have added a cpu option In low power saving mode, which is there on Z3 for example? That would make this mode actually useful.
This module disables the permanent "STAMINA mode activated" notification when it's enabled on the Xperia Z5. I don't know how many devices this will work for, presumably only Xperia devices (or some subset thereof).
Download from the xposed repo: http://repo.xposed.info/module/io.github.joshuawebb.quietxperiastaminamode
Tested on my Xperia Z5 (Android 6.0.1)
Working on my Z5 Compact. This is great thank you.
Xperia Z3 Compact does not work. 5% came notifications enable stamina mode.
hakan5816 can you post a screen shot?
This module is supposed to disable the notification when Stamina mode is already on, is your phone telling you to enable stamina mode when it is already on?

Somewhat related, can you make the "low battery enable Stamina" notification that appears after 30% remaining (15% after I installed a module to hide low battery alert) go away too? Thanks
