Is there a way to completely disable the taskbar in Remix OS?
I'd like to use the system as a terminal to only display an App without a way of getting out of said app.

Well..
When i was running 3.0.103.. and used this ''pm disable com.jide.autoupdate' (alt+f1 term)
It killed.. the taskbar

Thanks for your Reply. Sadly, when i try to use "pm disable com.jide.autoupdate" it says "Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown package: com.jide.autoupdate"
Did you have that problem as well at some point, or am i alone on this one?
You are correct... its : pm disable com.jide.autoupdater
For the list : pm list packages
I disabled the autoupdater, but the task bar is still there. Any other ideas?

I'm trying to do the same; with android x86 i did it adding the line "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" in build.prop; with remixOs 3.0.206 if i add the same line in build.prop the system boot but the screen not responde.
have you found the solution?

I tried to find Kiosk app solutions but nothing able to work with remix os...thanks for your suggestion.

the taskbar blocks the view for a lot of game windows. the auto-hide option does not work.

I removed in my phone several apps but in menu still is a entry for Sprint ID, then i want remove or replace the default app for this button, in another words replace shortcut destination/folder for when i select/open Sprint ID instead open other app.

Most custom launchers like Launcher Pro will allow you to hide apps from the app drawer, but for the Menu, I am unclear on what you are trying to do.
Are you trying to add a shortcut to the sub menu? I don't see Sprint ID anywhere on that screen-shot, confused on what exactly you're trying to replace.

This screenshoot is not mine but that menu open with same key in my phone, i´m not sure which name is.

Yeah, the only way I got around it was installing a replacement launcher.
If there's a way to replace that option on the menu, I'm sure that it'll need to be flashed over, and at that point you might as well try out another ROM
Something like this, which is a stock rom that has been de-blurred, and most of the Sprint bloatware removed.

Yes i have it. But i activated unicon in the modules tab too but once i entered the unicon app it has still the same message as this. Any solutions?

Hmm, the only way I can think of to get around this is by rooting and installing Xposed and GravityBox. It's even customizable!

Sorry to threadjack but does gravitybox still work if you reboot your phone? And does quick unlock work?

yes, just change that ro.settings.hwtheme=0 instead of =2.. (check the root thread for the real test, I'm working from my memory which isn't reliable)
Also I used root expoloer which will mount it as rw for you so the settings will stick.
My question is what setting of gravity box lets you add those programs to the swipe up from home? I must be blind or don't know what it's called in the Gravity box settings.

Yes, you'll have to do what Bobvark said. That line is in build.prop. I don't know what quick unlock is?

It's in navigation bar tweaks > navigation ring targets.
So I made a flashable zip file of the latest Pixel Launcher (launched in the Play Store with version 7.1.1-3359438) as well as the latest Google Wallpapers app (launched in the Play Store with 1.0.0.135171601). Use TWRP to install the zip file.

I think he's on Nougat. Either 7.0 or 7.1.
I figured it out. I didn't have "okay Google" set up it went away
So this will allows me to swipe left for Google now as well as all the other good things in 7.1.1
