I know Adreno 510 has the hardware support for Vulkan, but does anyone know whether Qualcomm will release drivers for it?

Your issue is gonna be a kernel issue and without the source there is nothing you can do. It is a common issue with devices running that chip set. That's why developers don't touch devices with it.

Yes I'm saying that without a proper kernel then there will be things that just can't be fixed. Normally things like the camera and wifi radios. You might be able to hack your way through it but it will take weeks of searching through the code.
The kernel source code is the base code that is required by law to be published for any device that runs a Linux kernel (any android device) the issue with that chip set is they are based in China and dont respect copyright laws or the GPL.

If it's still actual for you (2 years, but still...), mediatek has laid off some kernel and AOSP sources for mt65xx series. Also check out this repo: github.com /bq/aquaris-E5, it has some code for your chip and other Mediatek stuff.
Also you have few other options:
Build your ROM around existing (official) kernel, adding more drivers as .ko's. I've had certain success adding some USB drivers like that.
Use some .so's from your original ROM. Sometimes manufacturers don't provide sources for libcamera.so/libcamera_client.so (camera), libhardware.so/libhardware_legacy.so (wifi and some minor stuff, like vibromotor)
Many people know ArmV8 is 64bits support, it's good for devices with 4GB or more RAM. Moto E2 have snapdragon 410 which support 64bits OS (Armv8). Yes I know, Moto E2 4G have only 1GB RAM, maybe is not good, but why Motorola don't give the libs for build kernel with 64bits ? Maybe we can test and will see the results ... Many devs from emulator Dolphin (Gamecube and Wii) says the performance on Armv8 is more fast than ArmV7, and the results is better. We can try ask to Motorola, gives the libs for support ArmV8 on our Moto E2 4G. What do you think about this idea ?

because many source file(in kernel source) is set on armv7, if we change arm v8, it means we must change many many file...
If 64 bit was faster on this hardware then it would be 64 bit out of the box, even phones with 1,5 gb of ram and sd410 are 32 bit.

Yes I know, but if we put only theory here, we will never see what the results...., maybe our phone's get more speed or less speed, we need test first and judge the results

Guys does anyone have the slightest idea whether the Honor 7 will be getting a nougat update or not? And when will it be coming?
well, official nougat is not coming, according to honor official, a bad news
you could always make one for me android 6 is fine..... android 7 wont have anything better anyways....
Now that we have the device tree we might be able to make a unofficial port aslong as there isn't any technical limitations (Like missing GPU drivers).

Can anybody compile lineage os 18.1 for this device?
I know there is the GSI ROM for this device and I have been using it, but it has bugs. Would be great to get a device specific rom. Thanks!

What is the reason for this? Is media tek considered worse than snapdragon?

Xiaomi has started equipping models with soc mediatek for the Indian market.
To have the source code for the development you have to pay a license to Mediatek for each model and then pay teams of developers, which would have increased the price of these phones in India and would not have been profitable.
(he was also banned in 2014 from selling xiaomi to soc mediatek in India).

I've heard that Xaomi releases the source code of some of the Mediatek SoC .
Note :- Mediatek doesn't release the source code to the public , it only releases them to the smartphone manufacturers which uses their SoC.

GPS is broken in Lineage 18.1. Speaker volume is low for calls, but fine when using whatsapp / telegram. Also screen fades in the sun, very annoying.

How broken is the GPS? I've been meaning to try a GSI but am not sure which one to use. Any other bugs that you've encountered?

Read my post here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gps-very-laggy-and-broken.4435975 . It doesn't matter which GSI rom you use, it is broken on all of them since the core comes from AOSP by phhuson and GPS is broken there as well.
