Hi people of XDA,
I'm looking forward to unlock my phone's bootloader, but unfortunately in the service menu, the status of my phone says "Bootloader Unlock Allowed=NO"
Is there any way to change the "NO" to a "YES"?
Additional informations:
My phone is SIMLOCKED to a carrier
I have the 16gb model (E2306)
I have already contacted Sony, but they can't do anything
Thank you very much!
I think u can not do anything.
No, you can't unlock it. There is no way to do that with Bootloder unlock allowed: NO.
same for me, i have the e2303, is there a way to root it? or there's something we can do?

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum.
I recently bought an Xperia Mini pro and would like to completely unlock it.
I saw some peoples who remotely unlock those phones with SETool.
There is also a software called Omnius and would like to know if it can unlock SIM, fastboot and bootloader on Xperia Mini Pro SK17i, this isn't specified in any post.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Hy!
Yes, you can unlock it with Omnius, I unlocked my phone today in this way.
You need to buy one Android Single Unlock license.
Thank you Sir.
Done.
sorry to bump old thread.. will this work for carrier locked phones bootloaders also? or just sim lock and leave bootloader locked with no fast boot?
Omnius just deals with SIM-lock (and works well: I unlocked my SK17i this way). You need to then use another method (eg Doomlord's) to root. HTH.
Does anyone know if omnius unlock will work if the "allow bootloader unlock: no" setting is present? Can't seem to find any information about this on their website.
I hate my carrier so much...
thx

Yes, because mine didn't allow unlocking the bootloader, and I unlocked it with the "Android single unlock" license by Omnius.
Thanks for clarifying that. I assumed that was the case, but I wanted to check before handing over the monies!

I had the same situation I went to the guy, he took off me simlock and unlock the bootloader unlocked this way
Only removing SIM-lock is not enough.
Depending on when your phone is manufactured, it may be possible. Check the manufacturing date, it is under the battery. If it is before 12W11 (year 2012, week 11), then it is possible. Otherwise, no.
There is 11W36. Do you know some tutorial for unlock this "unlockable bootloader" ?
isn't it dangerous? does it work?
I did it via wotanserver, but it's not free.
No homemade way??
Hi everyone!!
I have a big problem (or little)!!
I have an Xperia M4 Aqua with "Bootloader unlocked allowed: Yes" originally, and I unlocked bootloader. When I was trying to root (Marshmallow firmware) , i somehow bricked my phone, and I reflash stock firmware (Marshmallow) to repair brick and my bootloader becomes "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
What's the reason? How to change "Bootloader unlock allowed: No” to Yes?
Thank's and sorry for my bad english
P.S. I found same case on Xperia P (JellyBean?) on the next link:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Android-development/Bootloader-unlock-allowed-No-SONY-solve-it-please/td-p/181271/page/8
make sure your FTF match to your device. also the CDA number
check it on xpericheck.com
So I know this has been asked a million times before, unfortunately I'm way too unfamiliar with flashing/rooting etc to understand what most threads try to explain.
It would be so awesome if somebody could answer my questions in the simplest possible language.
Right off the bat I must say that I have a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua E2306, and almost all instructions that I find reference other variants of this device. So would they be
compatible with my phone?
All I need is to get plain and simple root on my phone. I do not need a custom recovery or anything like that (unless of course it is necessary for rooting).
Here is all the info about my device that I think may be relevant:
Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, E2306, originally with Fido (Canada), now network unlocked.
Android version: 6.0.1
Build number: 26.3.A.1.33
In the service menu, it says "Rooting Status: Bootloader unlock allowed: No."
First, do I need to unlock the bootloader to be able to root my phone? If so, is there is really no way to unlock it on my device?
Second, could someone point me to a thread with a rooting method that would work specifically on my device, based on the info above (and unlock the bootloader, if applicable)?
Thank you
Hi guys, as title says I have Xperia Z2 phone that tells me that
"Bootloader unlock allowed : No".
Can I somehow unlock the bootloader ?
Even if I have to pay I guess its Ok if its not too expensive.
Have you simply tried to unlock it anyway just to make sure? I just succeeded in unlocking a Z2 today which was missing the bootloader unlock allowed status.
