Hello,
i like theming miui 8 but unfortunately some themes have ugly lockscreen. i want to be able to use certain elements from a theme and use stock lockscreen. is this possible? i remember using an old miui version on my s2 which allowed me to mix up elements from several themes to theme dialer, statusbar, style, lockscreen etc...seperately. how isnt it still possible? any mod out there for this?
Themes - My Account Icon (Top left) - Customize Theme - Lock Style.
You can also change just the wallpaper by going to : -
Themes - Wallpaper - Select Your Wallpaper - Set
Which will give you the options: - lock screen, home screen or both.

Features: - Unique MIUI theme interface and gestures - 8000+ Themes, Wallpapers and Ringtones available! - Support for up to 9 screens or more - Works on all NON-MIUI ICS 4.0 based devices.
Notes:
This is the MIUI Launcher. If your already running MIUI. You don't need this.
If you're on CM9 and have ICS RELOADED running with your Status Bar on the bottom of the screen, it will overlap the bottom icons but you can set the transparency level within ReloadedICS settings to show the rest of the icons and still have your bar on the bottom.
(fyi - I have transparency set to 75% in first screenshot)

Hi Guys,
Apologies beforehand but to fully complete this look - you'll need Nova Launcher Prime. You can achieve most of it with the free version though! And around 10 minutes free time
The Icon set i'm using is ClickUI feel free to replace with any others (I love the set though!)
Also install the Android L Keyoard and set theme to Material
Firstly Alter your Apps launcher to the Pure White option. Long press and choose Edit - then click the icon to get the icon Picker.
Nova Launcher Settings >> Desktop
Set Persistant Search Bar to 'Lollipop'
Set Scroll Effect to 'None'
Set Label Colour to White
Untick Label Shadows
Nova Launcher settings >> Drawer
Set the Background Colour to White (With no transparancy)
Tick 'Show Pages as Cards'
Set Scroll Effect to 'None'
Set Transition Animation to 'Circle'
Set Drawer Style to 'Horizontal'
Set Tab style to Classic
Set Label Colour to #384247
Untick Label Shadows
Set Drawer Groups >> tab colours to White
Nova Launcher Settings >> Folders
Set Folder Preview to 'Line'
Set Folder Background to 'Circle'
Set Transition Animation to 'Circle
Set Background to White (With no Transparancy)
Set Label Colour to #384247
Untick Label Shadows
Nova Launcher Settings >> Look and feel
Set Colour Theme to White
Set all Animation speeds to 'Stock'
Set App Animation to 'Slide Up'
Set Background to White (With no Transparancy)
Set Label Colour to #384247
Untick Label Shadows
Optional Step
Unread Counts - Nova Settings >> Unread Counts >> Install TeslaUnread
Setup as follows :-

Nice guide that you put up for people who cannot wait for 5.0 and prefer using Nova.
:good:
I tried Google Now launcher but reverted back to Touchwiz because i could not use S-Note widgets with it. Are all widgets available with Nova?
Looks really good, i had it setup really close to this, some off your stuff makes it look even better, thank you.

You can actually use Floatify to add lockscreen notifications similar to the ones in Lollipop.
For thoose of you who cannot wait for Lollipop and wants to use the lollipop theme without any struggle please flash the latest X-note rom. You can easily just change theme with Xnote controll app and there you go you have lollipop on your device with just a click. And it´s running smooth as butter just lovely. Thats why i love x-note, there is also alot of other themes to choose from. Question is if the x-note rom is avaible for all note 4 models.
Anyways im running the lollipop theme and will also do a x-note rom review as doing videos about android, rom reviews, game reviews, guides etc is my passion you can follow me on youtube ( the android dewd reviews ) stay tuned because a x-note rom review with the beautiful tw theme chooser they added you will be amazed how easily you can switch themes without nova or any other launcher and run lollipop if thats what you like.
Kind regards!
The android dewd reviews.

Sorry, no, the s-planner widget doesn't work which is sad as I really need it.
Could you please share the nova.backup file, so it would be easy for anyone to use that, after setting the icons to lollipop, so others can simply import the whole setup. Its just for folks who keep changing there look. Just my 2 cents !!
Just would like to share with you guys how and which apps I did use to get the look and layout of the new Pixel phones.
Of course there are other ways to do this, but I've chosen to use Nova launcher because of the amount of customisation one can get with it. Also if you install the leaked Pixel (Nexus) launcher you can't use a custom icon pack and I think those stock icons look ugly
Anyway, here are the steps:
Nova launcher settings:
Desktop grid - 5x5
Persistent search bar - On (pill style)
Page indicator - None
Swipe to drawer indicator - On
Show shadow - Off
Drawer app grid - 5x4
App drawer style - Vertical
Card background - Off
Swipe to open - On
Background - #fff5f5f5 / transparency 0%
Enable fast scrollbar - On
Scroll accent color - #00bcd4
Persistent search bar - On
Dock background - Rectangle
Color - White / transparency 70%
Draw behind navigation bar - On
Width padding - None
Height padding - Large
Folder preview - Grid
Folder background - N Preview
Look & feel Search
Search as overlay - On
As for the icon pack, I'm using Velur by Vertumus and for the NavBar icons I'm using a Xposed module called NougatNavigationBar.
Icon pack: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vertumus.velur
Module: http://repo.xposed.info/module/reverb.com.nougatnavigationbar
For the wallpaper I'm using the leaked Wallpapers Picker with the Daily Wallpaper On
Thnx for sharing.
A suggestion if you use cm theme engine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-pixel-style-navigation-bar-t3474251

Unfortunately I'm using stock ROM, so can't use those icons for now
Samsung theme store icon hack - Use icon only from any theme
Samsung theme added a new option in nougat for note 5 and other devices to change only icons. The problem is that icon library is quite limited. Although some themes have great icons but do let you apply icons alone (not so thoughtful of Samsung).
This method here let you use any samsung theme icon without applying that theme, Follow the complete guide here on XDA
I need help. I just realized, when I applied any theme, sms, dialer, and notification bar still use the default miui 9 theme. even though at theme settings is set to the new theme. I'm currently using 7.12.18 from Xiaomi.eu.
Hi, did you somehow solved the problem?
I have the same trouble with my Redmi 3 on MIUI Global 9.6, theme has the dialer and notif. bar when i look at the preview,
when i apply the theme - only the icons and wallpaper change,
but the Settings page, the UI - stays the same.
Don't know why...
