Hi I have these two issues I hope people can assist with
1. Turning phone on silent - how do I turn off the confirmation, I just want ti set to silent and not to set to silent without the extra dialog box coming up to confirm
2. Music volume, I have my phone set at a certain volume (maximum) as I plug it into the AUX cable of my car, it now always reduces the volume with a message that loud music is harmful.
I do these tasks often so find it terribly annoying. Is there anyway to change it.
Thank you,
FORNEUS
Hi,
First time poster and I registered just to see if I can get this question answered. My issue is that I really hate that when I change from sound to mute via the vibrate icon in the pull-down taskbar that it actually vibrates. I also hate that it vibrates when I push the volume putton down towards mute.
If im lying in bed with the Mrs and not wanting to wake her while I browse my phone i want to be able to go from sound to mute and when passing through vibrate that it actually doesnt vibrate (I dont need to be told im on that setting). There is an app called mute to do this but I wish I could disable the vibrate when changing profiles entirely. The icon tells me whether it is on vibrate or not without needing to vibrate to tell me I have moved onto the vibrate setting!! Same goes for during a meeting when I am toggling one way or the other i want to do it without making a noise. I know I could use the power button to go to silent mode but I prefer to use the dropdown menu.
With my iPhone I could have just changed a text file or something but I guess its different with android?
So essentially I only want my phone to vibrate when I am getting an alert like a call, text message, calendar alert etc and not when Im cycling through my sound profiles. Maybe Im weird and this doesnt bother anybody else but it would be great to hear if this is possible to hack?
Thanks
David
Ever since I switched to CleanRom 2.5 my phone would making this annoying sound whenever it is fully charged. I tried turning notification sound off in setting but it is still happening. Any ideas?
Install BatteryDoctor. There is a settings in the end of list tap to settings then there is system volume and install "0" to system volumes! If it doesn't help you or you can't understand you can replace sound of battery to silent sound via RootExplorer!
Sometimes I come to bed late and when I put my phone on my charger I want it to not make a sound. But I don't want to put it the whole phone on mute in case I get a text or phone call. The 3 previous phones I had did have a setting I just either can't find it on V30 or it is not there.
Mine masked no sound. But I have the system noises turned to zero in the volume control bars
Bumping this thread because I too would like to turn off the sound. Or better yet, change it. But I don't think there is a way. I'm assuming this thread is for Wireless Charging. I honestly think LG forgot to include a sound file for Wireless Charging. Android usually has a file called "WirelessChargingStarted.ogg" in system/media/audio/ui/ but there is not one there. The sound it plays is a notification sound "Crystal" which it is probably defaulting to. Hopefully the Oreo update adds an actual Wireless Charging sound that isn't so annoying or loud.

What about putting it in vibrate mode?

Same here, would like a little reminder, but the current sound is mental. Hope it gets tweaked in Oreo.
I'm looking to turn mine off, as well, but only because I want Tasker to handle it for me, and not make a sound when I'm at work and I put my phone on a wireless charger. (I like to overcomplicate things)
I'll drop this tip here to get more eyes on the situation, but I don't mean to imply that I found the correct option...
Install QuickShortCutMaker from the Play Store. (The icon is a finger pressing a red dot) Then, search through every activity (Start with the Settings application) for a shortcut to charging sounds. Again, I couldn't find it using this method, but I was able to use this same app to get to the Advanced Calling options on my V20, so it can help you get to menus that LG has hidden but not removed from the UI.
Good luck, and report back if anyone finds the right way to turn off charging sounds!
try this way
turn down the volume of 'touch feedback and system' all the way, it should do the trick, and i guess it doesn't affect anything else or at least much important
8.0 installed and still no controls for any type of charging sound control
Installed 8.0 from LG Bridge yesterday and there is still no volume control for charging sound, either wired or wireless, and no custom sound for just charging either. Drats! I too so HATE the lack of this basic feature.

Uh... Yes there is.
It's the volume slider for "touch feedback & system"
Thank You, but...
Thank you, but... I found the Touch Feedback slider as you mentioned., slid it all the way down and it still makes the sound when plugging it into the charger. Darn!
I know necro-posting is frowned upon, but I needed to find the answer to the question again after I had to format the data on my phone.
When you plug in the phone, pull down the bar at the top and long-press the Android System entry that shows what mode the port is set to (Charging, File Transfer, etc...), go to All Categories. Near the bottom, find 'USB connection'. Tap it and then tap 'Importance' and change it to medium.
No sound when any USB cable is plugged in. I haven't found a way do disable/change the charging sounds specifically, but I'm thinking LG modified the OS to not read specific sound files for charging at all, and only uses whatever sound is set in this 'USB connection' dialog.
Also, there is a 'LG_Cable_Connect.ogg' file in /system/media/audio/ui that can be renamed/replaced/removed.
I use a nightly DND schedule. When the schedule turns DND off my phone beeps. Is there anyway to turn that beep off?
I have used the system DND and several apps to schedule DND and still have the beep.
The problem being the beep wakes me up and I don't want to wake up at that time unless someone calls or texts me.
Thanks for any help.
Turn system sounds volume all the way down?
Thanks! Yes system volume is all the way down when on DND but I really think it happens when volumes are automatically turned back on. I probably need to Disable "Beep" sound on volume adjustment. Any ideas?

What happens if you turn system sounds all the way down BEFORE turning on DND? I normally keep system sounds off, and I haven't noticed my phone beeping when DND goes off. It's possible I just haven't noticed it, but I think I would have heard it at least sometimes. Yesterday I was awake with phone in hand when DND ended, and I didn't notice a beep.
