Which region firmware is this?
Also, is anyone going to try and flash this to C6802 to see if it is going to activate LTE?

I think it is UK, Europe for sure. Unbranded, too.
I actually flashed a C6802 Firmware on my C6833 which took away LTE, but left everything else in tact.
Unfortunately from what I have read the C6802 simply lacks the LTE chip on the SOC so actually there is no way to get LTE.
But feel free to try. If all fails you can still always flash back.

I am battling a different problem at the moment, so cannot try today.
I hope someone has the time to try it out, since from what I understand, C6802 does indeed have same SoC as C6833, which is SD800 MSM8974
There were discussions that 'maybe' the antenna could be different, but my gut feeling says it is the same.
Lets see..

Yes did flash direct via Flashtool in flashmode. Without any errors.
Only when it goes to"sleep", ...SOD and followed by a crashdump.
What could be wrong with my build.prop file?

Unbranded does not mean no bloatware. It just means, that it is not a carrier branded version like vodafone or t-mobile, o2 or whatever with their special software installed.
What you want is a vanilla android version for the Xperia Z ultra.
Look in the development forums. Maybe someone is working on this.
With root access you can also delete unwanted apps, though in the newer android versions, you can also disable unwanted apps what essentially freezes them.
lol i don't mean bloatware in that way i am fine with sonys UI its just o2 version has o2 bootup and loadsa of o2 software pre installed and i would like to flash it to the international unbranded carrier free
if this what i am looking for?

hello, I am asking for, because I see a lot of people saying about diferent firmwares for each devices (AT&T, TMB, VZW, SPR) and the model is the same for all(G955U), I found in AFH an stock firmware but it says TMB, and I don't want to brick my device lol.
Can anyone share a firmware to our S8+ from Sprint???
If is possible, I am looking for QD9 version.
Thanks
without unlocked bootloader, you cannot flash anything. 955U has no unlock solution yet.
You can't Flash... but you can Odin stock firmware... anyone have Sprint stock firmware ?

I have noticed the baseband firmware is the same and there is a "user" firmware file that is strictly associated with the carrier. I have recognized this with Verizon and Sprint. ODDLY.. I have only seen these carrier firmware files included with the initial firmware release of the phone..
So Verizon launched its GS8 plus with one firmware release in advance of Sprints release of the phone.
So the two firmware files are NOT compatible given you are unable to downgrade and completely unprovission your phone.
Now .. I think the theory is that if you own a Verizon handset that has never received an update you can provision to Sprint .. granted you have the complete initial firmware set for Sprint.
I have an international S9+ (SM-965F/DS, 256G) and noticed there is no WiFi calling option under Connections/More Connection Settings (or anywhere else). What's up with that? The phone passed all authenticity checks I threw at it, including working Iris scanner and dual-aperture camera, so I really don't think it's a fake.
Of note, I have 2 T-Mobile Sims in it, and everything else seems to be working fine.
Stumped...
Unless you unlock the bootloader and flash the T-Mobile CSC, WiFi calling, VoLTE, video calling, and RCS will not work on the SM-G965F.
Wow, really? Where can I get TMo firmware? And if I do that, will it trip Knox and kill Samsung Pay? Also, will I get Tmo OTA updates after that? Thanks.

That is incorrect! I have it working perfectly fine on my Canadian version 965W. Did you flash to U1 and stay there or did you flash to the TMB U firmware? I have tried both but went back to U1 because of the updates contain the v2 bootloader. I don't have the option to turn it on in U1 but when I connect to WiFi, WiFi Calling automatically is enabled and yes, I have made calls over WiFi to confirm it works.

Thanks, I'll correct my post to say SM-G965F instead of "any non-US model". It seems that the SM-G965W firmware contains all the T-Mobile bits (eg. /system/framework/TmoWfcUtils.jar), while the SM-G965F does not.

The Canadian and US model are essentially identical.
Our exynos devices are vastly different but also superior in many ways. No locked bootloader for us, snap doesn't even have root!

Got the same issue. I'm in the UK and it's not there. One of the reasons I bought it was because I thought it had it - my work colleague has it on EE and has the option.

In the UK, you will need to have a "branded" handset.
My S9+ was originally from Vodafone, but I'm using it on Three.
To get WiFI calling, I flashed the stock Three firmware.
You can probably get away with a BTU firmware, and flashing your carriers CSC, but I couldn't be bothered as there was very little bloatware on the Three firmware.

Dave

Ah - well that explains it!
Do you have linkage to the Three 9+ firmware?
I have heard there is a way to change the CSC without rooting, unlocking bootloader, or tripping Knox. I want to avoid that in order to continue using Samsung Pay. If I absolutely have to choose, I will root to get WiFi calling, but if it's possible to get it without rooting, I'm going to find a way!

Mixing and matching firmware can be hit and miss. I wouldn't swap Exynos bootloaders with SnapDragon or vice versa though. The CSC contains the bulk of the carrier related settings and apps. There are usually two CSC files. One will wipe, one won't. The CSC_HOME doesn't wipe but may cause some issues. The other will wipe, at least to some degree. You also might want to look at some of the Combination ROM's available to see if they have all of what you need.
In order to flash without tripping things. The modded or patched version of ODIN is needed.

So if I wanted to flash the US T-Mobile stock firmware, how would I do it? Where would I even get the firmware? It's not on sammobile as far as I can see.
So I flashed the XEU most recent firmware - released a couple days ago. My device is SM-G965F BTU. Downloaded via SamFirm and flashed the four files with Odin.
Now have VoWifi and VoLTE.

Good News!! The brand new XEU stock firmware with may security patch for the S9+ works with WiFi calling and Volte so no need to use the three firmware anymore. I don't know about TMobile but the changelogs stated improvements to Volte and VoWiFI so my guess is that lots of carriers where added to get it work in the multi CSC. Btu for some reason uses a different non multi CSC so don't use BTU

You could try flashing the unlocked version of the firmware, but that only changes the boot animation to a different one. With my sprint phone it went to the stock Samsung one after flashing the firmware for the G965U1
Otherwise no way I know of to customize it. Things like that require root access which we don't have.

Just keep in mind flashing the G965U1 firmware may cause certain sprint features to not work.
The G965U1 is from the non carrier branded phone so it is the most generically compatible firmware. Any carrier specific additions added to the firmware by the carrier wouldn't be present.
Like for example the tmobile firmware has the video calling built into the dialer. With the g965U1 firmware it is not present.

If your using Samfirm app to download the firmware you search for the model SM-G965U1 and then XAA for the region.
Using sammobile you search for the model SM-G965U1 and then at the drop down menu select "(Unknown) XAA" from the available options.

The only thing I can see causing the issue is the bootloader version. You can only flash firmware with the same bootloader version or higher then what is currently installed on your phone.
To locate the bootloader version look at your baseband version. Start at the very right hand side count left 5 characters inwards. The number that is present would be the bootloader version.
Using the example below the bootloader version would be number 5
G965USQS5CSEA
