Is there just a simple snap on case? - Shield Tablet Accessories

Looking everywhere can't find one. See there are a couple that look very bulky and come with a screen protector built it. And almost all others come attached with the front face cover and magnet closed case which I don't want.
Thanks in advance

I never found any. I just left mine without a case, just have a glass screen protector on it.

I wanted a snap-on thin case as well. So.... I just exacto'd the front cover/flap off a cheap magnetic case from Amazon. I'm a complete klutz, hence having at least a little protection is important to me.
I also wish a company would take advantage of the magnetic side slots & make a front cover similar the Nvidia factory built cover. I'd love to buy the Nvidia one for my graphic design work since, like gaming, it heats the device up - so I always remove the back cover.

Those are not simple snap on cases... besides that one's ugly, if you plan on getting something like that, get the other Poetic one.

Closest to a protective case you can get that is minimal.

Cases like that are not to be considered minimal at all. What equi did would be closer than your suggestion. This tab is just not that popular so case manufacturers just don't bother with it. Sucks for us who want more options.
---------- Post added at 10:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:39 PM ----------
Btw, I just tried what equi did for one of the cases for my Zenpad Z8 and it's actually not bad. While it won't protect from scratches on one side, it never protected against drops for that side before anyways.

I was in the same position as you. I wanted a simple case with good protection that wasnt bulky. I also didnt want a flap. I couldnt find anything that fit the bill. Therefore i settled for this. I use the Fintie Nvidia Shield K1 Smartshell case from Amazon and love it. It snaps on really easily and has a front flap that doubles as a stand. I hardly even realize the flap is there as it easliy flips behind the screen or folds so it can standup I have actually found it to be more of a conveniece than inconvenience. It only $10.99 too! It provides pretty good protect as well. My 13 year old son is pretty rough on stuff and so far we have had no problems. I highly recommend it with an intelliarmor screen protector. Hope this helps.

Note 3 Kickstand

Okay I don't think I have to explain why I want a kickstand.
(with a couple people surrounding me and this huge gorgeous display... its easy to show off a YouTube video)
I want a Kickstand on my phone.
I don't want a bulky Otter box case. In fact I don't want ANY cases.
I bought the Clear TPU Kickstand case already.
I want to have a kickstand while preserving the Thin and Slim profile of the Note 3.
So I'm looking for a small kickstand that can be stuck on the back of the device... something that 3M could've made.
And I don't want a SlingGrip or the like... just a kickstand that opens and closes.
If I'm worried about protecting the device I'd use a bumper.
Or I would cover it up carefully in something like a 3M sheet of carbon fibre just like this guy did:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21223112
... and could use that material to fasten the kickstand tighter to the phone's back.
Another possibility is a battery cover which has a kickstand built in.
Any help finding something suitable would be awesome, thanks!
Google stick on kickstand and several come up best looking was at kickitstand.com
Thanks. Kickitstand looks good. I wouldn't want it stuck on all the time, though. I'm looking for something similar and yet different.

The KickITstand is pretty much what I'm looking for.
But:
1) Its too thick
2) Its base/bezels are pretty big
Its not more compact than the TPU Kickstand cases, so it defeats the purpose.
However, I think I found the solution !!!!
Buying a Scosche sticKICK I g4.
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/scosche-stickick-g4-for-iphone-4/
Its a thin battery cover for the iPhone 4 / 4S with a Kickstand.
It costs $14, its noticeably thin, and just a basic apparatus.
I'm thinking of getting it.
Breaking away those excess plastic parts and slapping it on my Note 3.
Just need to find out if I can pay by PayPal and if they do shipping to Australia.
If someone can help me purchase this (not money, info) or a product that's similar that would Be Awesome.

I know your primary question was about a low profile kickstand, but I just wanted to point out that if you go this route for carbon fiber that the material is actually vinyl with carbon fiber styling. It's probably not going to protect the phone from anything more than minor scratches.
Have you seen these?

It doesn't attach to your phone but I thought I would provide the option at least.

Poetic Cases!

So Poetic has some new cases due to come out on October 30th according to Amazon. They look very nice and are definitely my style of case.
Here they are:
Turtle Skin: http://www.amazon.com/Nvidia-Shield...869&sr=8-6&keywords=nvidia+shield+tablet+case
Revolution: http://www.amazon.com/Nvidia-Shield...69&sr=8-15&keywords=nvidia+shield+tablet+case
Personally considering the Turtle Skin case as the ability to use your stylus as a kickstand is great. Not sure why the Revolution version has most of the speakers covered. (Unless those spots they cut out are the only areas where sound is coming out?)
What do you guys think? I'll be updating this post with the Turtle Skin case as soon as I get it.
No speaker holes.
I was looking at those the other day and couldn't figure out why the frig they covered up 90% of the speaker ports.
Kind of makes dual forward facing speakers a moot point? Someone in the final approval dept. needs to get off the crack and look at the way it actually works lol.
Poetic is great. Ive had 3 tablets prior to the shield and used poetic cases for them all. These are terrible cases compared to the ones Ive used before. I cant bare to think of how hot the k1 will get in these beasts.

Yeah I was a sucker and paid way too much for the Shield tablet cover, but after using it and playing the k1 optimized games I know why they went with the open back design with minimal contact points. It would be awesome to find a silicone bumper or something to still fit the tablet but a fully covered back on the shield is not a great idea if you actually use it for gaming IMO.
Pre-ordered a revolutions case.
As for the speakers if you play around covering up the grills you'll notice that where poetic have put their holes is actually where the sounds comes out the most.
Has anyone tried the turtle case yet? I had ordered the Revolution back in Oct but was not one of the ones to get the first shipment so I canceled it and went with a flip cover case. However for normal day to day use the flip cover case is kind of annoying and I'd like to switch to an open face case like these.
Just got one of these puppies and want to see the REVOLUTION case in action. Can anyone please post pics? Tia!
Finally got my Poetic case just before christmas. Here are some pictures and a video I made.

I'm thinking about the revolution case myself. Does the built in screen protector affect the stylus performance?

for me it did. I think it might had more to do with the fact that I already had an illumishield cover.. I didn't really care much for the built in screen protector, considering it kept giving that oily look, like in the pics above. Anyways, with both the illumishield and built-in protector, the touch sensors was wonky, especially when using the stylus. And since I liked the non oily look of the illumishield, I just basically hacked away the built-in screen protector. as far as the case though? it's pretty awesome..
Ah ok, i didn't notice that it was the soft type screen protector that does that oily crap cuz i was on mobile when i saw the photos. I also like to provide my own screen protector and just use the frame, thanks.
My poetic case is coming in today. I had the thought of doing the same thing as the other guy. Cutting off the protector of the poetic and installing my own screen protector.
With the built in protector only the stylus works fine. Don't like the weird oily looking effect though and probably will remove it also.
Now I've used it for a while there are things I really don't like about it. The buttons are really hard to press now, I might try to mod it to make it better. The port cover will probably get cut off as it doesn't stay in after being left on charge over night. The stand is a nice feature but poorly done, only one angle option and its not a good one. Would be good to have some sort of incremental angle options and to lock into place.
But the protection the bulky case provides cannot be denied.

That was the dirst thing I did when I got mine. I've never really liked the built in screen protectors, they all seem poor compared to combining the case with a nicer screen protector. Use tempered glass + Otterbox on my M8, and an illumishield + poetic on the shield. Not a huge fan of the buttons, but it's stil the best and basically only choice for a hard case.
just wondering, anyone here has cracked edges problem?
I read it like almost everywhere on the nvidia forum... and ppl there are.. kinda nasty. most of the things discussed there is not constructive...
So I had a mixed experience with the Poetic Revolution case.
tl: dr Poetic need to make a SlimLine range for the Nvidia Shield Tab so it can be oriented in Landscape and Portrait.
I had to shave off the locking lugs that stow the stand so I could easily deploy and stow the stand. I also had to cut into the flap so it would return to the covered position. The material that Poetic chose to use for the rubberized flaps is different to the SlimLine range of cases, and is less flexible.
I also had an issue with the kickstand hinge lugs breaking off and I had to request a new case.
The new case is better than the first one. The stand will deploy much easier now, and the rubberized material *eventually* returns to it's original position. It still doens't close immediately after you have unplugged headphones or the charging cable, but it gets there eventually.

What procedure did you use to get a replacement for broken kickstand? I agree with your experience, pretty much the same issues here. Still like the case but hinge and hard to press buttons.

I just used their web site contact form. If you are in the states, you won't need to pay the postage fee. I had to, because I'm in Australia.
Right on, they asked for Order number & picture of damaged region and my address. The new case has already been shipped no need to return the defective old one either. Thanks for your tip.

Zperia Z3 Case-Mate Slim Tough Review

In short, I am extremely disappointed in this case and feel ripped off for having to paying $30 for a case that is worth, at MOST $5.Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/jYJuw#0
Pros:
Visually attractive at a glance.
Buttons do work.
Case leaves enough room for large headphone plugs to fit with ease.
Although I do not have a magnetic charger, there appears to be plenty of room for it to fit as long as the adapter isn't too wide.
Cons:
Bumper is plastic and very flimsy. I fully except it to shatter if my phone is ever dropped.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of case provided.
Buttons feel cheap (I can't believe they are metal), are loosely fitted, meaning they rattle when phone is shook.
The part of the bumper closest to the screen that surrounds the USB port and magnetic charger is very very fragile and can be moved almost to the point of snapping without much effort.
After picking up my T-Mobile Z3 on Wednesday I quickly went online to find a case to protect my phone. I was very much disappointed to find that there are hardly any quality cases available, especially in the US. After researching a bit, it seemed like Case-Mate was the best option there was and I put in an order for the Slim Tough.
My case came today (Saturday) and after using it for a few hours I have written this review.
If you have any questions, please ask.

Wow this is extremely disappointing I was really looking foward to getting mine on Monday. Do you feel it is at least better protection then the Ringke Fusion (as I know you have that too. It is such a shame a nice phone like the Z3 has such limited case options.

I actually do not have the Ringke Fusion so I cannot make a proper comparison.
I do know that the rubber TPU on this case is the best part and offers good protection against scratches and light bumps. It also would offer the most protection against a drop as it would absorb most of the impact. The bumper (which keeps the TPU on), on the other hand, will offer no protection and will likely shatter or break upon impact.

I will give my thoughts on Monday when I get my hands on mine but I do have a feeling I will feel the same. I guess I will be atleast a little happy if its better then the Ringke Fusion I have right now (which isn't going to be hard to top) Then I can continue my search for an even better case.
Lets hope in the coming month we have some better options It's good that T Mobile is selling the phone as that might help get some people making some cases but it stinks there is no main stream companies other then case-mate making a case for the Z3.

I have to say I feel nearly the same as Christian, Looking at it it does look like a nice case but digging deeper you find some issues.
The buttons are extremely cheap and do rattle and have no clickyness to them what so ever. the plastic bumper does feel flimsy but I don't think it would crack if dropped because of the TPU behind it. However I think if you took the case off the wrong way and bent it it could easily crack. I also don't like the bulkyness it added to the width of the phone. Before I was using the case (and even with the Rinke Fusion the phone felt nice in the hand but now with the case it feels overly wide.
It does with with the Nilkin Tempered Glass Screen Protector (Barely) which is nice and I have a feeling will work with my magnetic connector (will test when I get home.
Overall I think I like it a little better then Christian and will use it over my Rinke Fusion (because I feel it has better protection) I will still be on the lookout for another case which after spending as much as I did on the case-mate is disappointing.
Overall I give it a 5/10
Well unfortunately this case is completely dead for me as it does not work with the magnetic charger port even with the cutout so back to the Rinke for me.
Where did you get the case from online? It's temporarily unavailable on Casemate's website and I can't find it anywhere else besides MobileFun (whose shipping is ridiculous)
Ebay matey.
But i'm form the UK, so it may well differ for you.

I got mine from the US Caste Mate store.
I just bought mine today at one of the sony stores here in Malaysia. I have to agree with what Christian has pointed out. The buttons feel cheap and it has the loose sound which makes it feel cheap despite the price of it. I am a fan of Spigen casing because of the hybrid colors and full protection in all corners and this case mate slim tough is the closest fit I found to Spigen. But having it on can't fit into my magnetic charging dock without removing the cover which I think it will break some day.. Now I just remove the dock holder and did some DIY card board to charge it with the casing on
I guess I will switch to Ringke Fusion soon and let my 90 bucks burns.. Ouch..
---------- Post added at 05:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:21 PM ----------
Btw, I decided to sell it out, who wants it can PM me. Thanks
The un symetrical looking back just bothers me. I am waiting for Spigen to give some Z3 love.

Best slim case I've found yet

First off, I have ZERO affiliation with this company - I paid full price for the case and waited 2 weeks for it to come from China (I had this case with my V20 and was happy they made it for the S8)
I have bought slim cases from Ringke, Spigen, Caseology for the S8 (all from Slickdeals $$$ off posts) and so far all of them felt a bit too slick and thick(compared to what I've experienced with other phones).
I don't know why more companies don't use the "Salient point" design (what this company calls the textured back)
Makes it extremely easy to hold the phone and a good feel in the hands.
Is it worth $10 when you have other slim case options out there for much less (with promotions)? Since I've experienced the feel of it previously I personally think it's worth it. I do wish they had US stock and didn't ahve to wait so long for it.
Now I will say this thing is THIN, like this is going to offer almost no protection from a drop thin (you get corner and back protection but that's about it). I didn't get it for that, I got it to help with holding the phone. Will a skin accomplish the same- probably and I've considered the Dbrand Dragon skin too.
I will say the case fits SNUG - I had a hard time getting it off to take some pics of it

http://www.ebay.com/itm/232311855985
the thinnest case would be ones made out of polypropylene. some of them get as thin as PAPER. others get thicker/harder plastic feel, but no real point as any drops will crack your glass...
I always buy TPU thermo polyurethane which is very resilient and i've been surprised a few times on how it protected my phones. the thinnest TPU i found are the CIMO
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Cimo-...011&ie=UTF8&qid=1493474636&sr=8-5&keywords=s8
I have the Spigen which is too thick, back side measuring 1.4mm on my calipers
EasyAcc TPU which i'm rocking right now which is 1.3mm
Cimo which hasn't come in yet, but... I've had them for s6 and s7 and it only measures 1mm
I like to cut a small hole and mod the TPU cases so that it works on my modded magnetic charger.

I have this case. It's really nice. Fits well, and really is the thinnest possible case at just .025" thick. I must say it is a little slippery even after using it for a few days. I'll probably try and find a similar one that has a bit better grip, but I would certainly recommend it.
I'd also like to mention there is a small raised lip around the camera opening make the fingerprint reader easier to find while adding a little extra protection the camera.

Loving it so far. It is a bit slippery though, not like other TPU cases I have which provide more grip. The separation between the camera and fingerprint scanner is a nice touch too. I'm guessing it is made from some sort of TPU., it is soft and flexible but not silicone. Be aware this is very light protection. I just wanted something to prevent scratches caused by everyday use. I was going to go naked, but this is pretty close and gives some protection.
I'm loving the new spidgen neo hybrid case
Not sure what spidgen case(s) you've tried this far but I absolutely love the neo hybrid case...
Highly recommend this one...

For under 15bux hell, I bought 2 (different colors)!
Look, this case is meant to be a minimalist case so I'm not messaging any claims about what would happen if you dropped it face (screen) first onto gravel or an uneven surface but face first on a flat surface the screen is protected and any other basic drop on a corner, back or side I'm fairly certain it would be fine... I'm even able to charge on a Samsung qi wireless charger with the case on...
The textured back is perfect for holding it and gives the phone a nice secure fit to your hand...
I'd give it a 9/10 as it could use a little motmore stand out protection at top and bottom to better protect The screen - but that said, this case is soo thin you won't even notice it on your front jeans our slacks pocket... its seriously svelte...
I picked up spidgen's screen protector 2pk and it's just ok not a fan of The clarity but it's staying put without issue in this case and will have to do until zagg remedies their issues with Their tempered glass for the s8 which is virtually useless and not very case friendly... (if anyone has found a good tempered glass protector for the s8 please tag me or pm me -ty)

I also have the Nillkin PC Ultra thin case and have also found it to be to best compromise between offering decent protection and staying pretty slim. There also a tiny lip on the screen side so that it won't rest the glass on surfaces. Looking at it from the front, you can hardly tell that the case is on. The Nature TPU case by Nillkin is also very nice, but you can only get it from China at the moment.

Could you tell me how much it weighs? Amazon lists 1.4 ounces for both item and shipping weight. That's way to heavy for me.

No Protection with this case. It clearly says in description only for scratch. If you want full protection I would suggest that you get this one from Samsung is very slim:

Does the olixar flexishield actually have something special for grip? They say it's a non slip coating but is it any different than regular tpu

Razer 2 Phone Cases

Hello Everyone,
Figured I will start a discussion about cases available for the Razer Phone 2. Please feel free to place your input on the cases that you are rocking or found online for the phone.
Regarding what case I am using at the moment, I went with the Razer Phone 2 Word Case - Black. So far it is the only case that I have found for this phone and from what I have heard it is the best choice (For Now)
As far as the feeling of the case, It will give you the necessary grip for the phone. It feels just like the Soft Rubber Cases for the iPhone, which is not bad at all. There is some Alcantara in the inside of the case for the backing and this should prevent scratches on the back of the phone. :good: The case does feel thin and flexible when you wrap it on the phone, I've had instances when I pull the phone from my pocket and the corner is a bit off ( not a big deal )
Overall protection The sides are protected for the most part. The Top and Bottom parts of the phone are exposed; however, there is a protrusion on the top and bottom that will protect it if you accidentally slide it on a flat surface. There is also a protrusion on the front end that will protect the phone is you decide to place it face down on a Flat surface, this will let you enjoy the RGB! :good: On a side note I also have the tempered glass, that is sold by Razer, installed and with the case I can still place it on a flat surface and there is still a small gap between it and the surface.
That back side adds a centimeter of protrusion to protect the camera when you place it down. Again this is only if you place it on a flat surface, anything that is bumpy and you are playing with fire.
The back part also exposes the Razer logo bit too much, in my opinion, I would like to see it match the logo of the Razer; but, this will probably block the RGB from certain angles.
I will recommend this case highly when you first buy the phone, I was running with the phone Naked for the first week while I waited for the case to be shipped. I got some small scuffs on the sides of the phone by the volume button.
Hope this helps and I am looking forward to your experiences with other cases.
I too went with the Razer word case but in green since black is back ordered. This phone is really slick so I'll be happy when it comes in to give me a better grip.
I have the same as you, and I love the look and set up. This is my first Razer, I am NOT a gamer, I just think it's about the coolest phone out. And I have a ton of them!

I agree! I don't game either on mobile; however, I do listen to a lot of music and the speakers are what makes this phone great for me
Hey guys!
I contacted The awesome folks at tudia and they have given us a discount on their merge case. The Code is 20RAZER2.
This was the best third party case for the RP1 imo so go ahead and get your discount!
Also if you could pop a comment and thank Tudia for the discount

Finally got my case in after my first order with Amazon got lost. The green word case is definitely a case I won't lose, it fits fine and is pretty minimalistic. seems to for nicely and is comfortable in the hands. It's also very easy to remove if you need to.
Just installed a DBrand skin on my RP2 and it is good so far, the only problem I have is that the logo cut out is pealing off. Not from messing with it, just from taking it out from my pocket every so often. I do have the Black Razer case over it as well.
Just giving you all a heads up when purchasing if. I'm all for it since it will protect the sides and the back from scratches that can occur even of you have a case on it.
Hope this helps!
Hello all,
I have the Razer brand carbon fiber case. It fits very well and looks really cool. After people see the unique phone and glowing snakes they realize the case is also unique. The whole look is just like no other device out there. The only drawback I see is the case is extremely thin so the camera module is vunerable. On the plus side,it adds very little size to the phone.
I just received the black Razer Word case today. It's noticiably thicker than the carbon fiber case and does a better job of protecting the camera and the device as a whole, but it doesn't seem to fit as tightly and pops off the side of the phone frequently as Same Old Dude mentioned.
Hope this helps.
I want a slim hard case
I'm hoping Spigen will release the "rugged armor" style case for this one

You can get the Kevlar Case from Razer. Kinda pricey at 50 bucks. Or you can do a skin.
I'm using the light case as i don't want any cut holes on the back (dust issues) , so far I like it, adds abit of grip and feels solid, except for finger print smudges issues haha
then i found a brand call Olixar that sells soft rubber translucent cases and in the product photos there is no hole, but when i receive it the case has Hole! sadness..
why do they put a hole when the case is translucent.. doesn't make sense.
anyways, if you guys know any translucent case without holes (except for the light case by razer) let me know
I went with the green word case. I was hoping Ringke would come up with a Fusion case but I guess not
Holster case.
If anyone is looking for a way to holster the R2, I tries a couple iPhone 8 Plus holsters and found this "Encased" iPhone 8 Plus holster set works pretty good to hold the R2 with the UaBids rubber case. Looks good, too. Amazon - Encased iPhone 8 Plus Belt Clip Case with Built in Screen Protector (American Armor) Heavy Duty Full Body Rugged Cover with Holster (Black)
I am curious if the Artech case will ever be released for the RP2. It's out for the iPhone. I'm going to wager that the phone case will be delisted soon with no launch.

I am actually looking for a holster. But I don't understand how this will work I looked it up it looks like it's two pieces The holster and the actual iPhone 8 case and if I put that case on my phone how is it going to fit? And the camera cutouts in the button cutouts are different so I don't really get it unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. I do have a generic holster that fit my phone perfectly until I put a case on it and wants to I got the case on it it did not fit my phone perfectly anymore it was slightly opened and because of that it fell out of the case in the middle of the street got ran over by multiple cars completely shattered my phone and I had to get a new one and I had to get a new one and I had to get a new Razer phone 2. I don't want to risk it anymore but it's a very big phone uncomfortable in my pocket so I really want to holster but one that I can fit with the case. This would be perfect if it was actually designed for the Razer phone 2 but I just don't get how it's going to work with the iPhone 8 one. If you had a moment to clarify it would be highly appreciated. Thanks for all your help!

I forgot to explain in the earlier post that you do NOT use the iPhone 8 case, just the holster and you need the rubber Spiegen or similar case on the Razer Phone 2 for it to work, sorry

Thanks, I just found a perfect one though that fits with my case, was 10 bucks at a little shop down the street"Reiko" Brand with card holders!
I can confirm the Tudia case does not work very well with wireless charging. I can get it to work, but I have to lay the phone on its side. Just ordered the Spigen Liquid Air Armor and will see how that fares.
[Edit] Got the Spigen case and that seems to work a little better. Seems like the RP2 is very finicky about where it wants to be placed for wireless charging to work.
