Any idea when redmi note 3 will get marshmallow update?
There is chinese beta with miui 8, but i can't recommend it for now.
If you don't like it you can lose your IMEI Number during restore.
So if you want to flash it you MUST backup your EFS partition via TWRP
And know that the bootloader will be locked again

Is the build based on mm ? Recently global beta was launched , but is it mm or lp based ?
we will see the global beta on 11th of July
but until then we have officially miui 8, lolipop based

So will the global stable also be based on lollipop ? If so , can you give an approximate idea when we will get marshmallow update to this phone, all phones are getting that update.

Yes, this links are leaked from somewhere. My opinion is that the Beta tester searching from this thread (http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=296705&highlight=Redmi+note+3+beta+tester) is about marshmallow update for redmi note 3
Deadline is 10th of July.
On 11th they launch global beta, and the china testers must be used for Marshmallow...

for *Kenzo* , there is a rom in Beta stage that runs with miui 8 on MM . In the development section . **You can try that , or the roms like CM,RR,ACIP,AOSP that run on MM with far better features and performance , also some of them are maintained officially**.
As far as official support from mi , i am afraid its no where near close to releasing it .

Really? Where you got this info. from? I think, Xiaomi will take some time to edit out Android N, after this year's Nexus Android N rollout.

Stable MIUI 8 version is still not available for our Redmi note 3 but you can upgrade to its beta version which is currently I am using without any trouble. Here its link:-

Download the rom from developer rom section. Its current version is 6.8.11 (MIUI8) and is about 1.3G in size.

China stable is already being pushed to some redmi note 3 sd whereas, the global stable would be coming on 23rd aug.
Moreover, miui 8 global stable is already being pushed to some redmi 1s and mi4i users as reported on forum.

You're completely free to free to install every version of miui(stable/beta)(miui 7/miui8) available for your device cause all the roms are official. No roms will void your warranty.

It's the news sites which bring false info. by saying it's based on Nougat. In the time of MIUI8, they were saying the same thing. But guess what? MIUI 8 was bases on Lollipop for RN3. Later an update for MM was available months later. But Nougat will not get released to RN3.

I'm bothered with one question. Today is a miui 9 beta roll out day. If the link for rn3pro still has not been leaked does it mean that the beta firmware will be tested by the wave method? At the begining they ll be test a small group of devices and along with it slowly adding the other devices?
Is there anyone who got successfuly aplied for beta testing? Please take at least screenshot from the closed section with links on the miui forum to see what devices are under the test now.
