Screen density? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

What's the lowest screen density people are running without any issues?
I'm running 600 only 40 off original but I dare not go any further yet :/ anyone running less?

I use 560 and all is working well.
The only thing is the AOD, it works only with 640.

LCD Density changer

I was playing with that application for a while,
Did anyone find a solution to the bugged lockscreen and se keyboard ?
I set it on 200
Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
No, but do not set anything below 200.
It's impossible to unlock!
It took me 5 minutes to unlock mine with 160dpi.
Thanx for the info, but any idea how to fix it ?
I should use lockscreen application maybe ?

LCD Resolution (root)
Hi there,
This should help you out:
LCD Resolution (root)
As you can tell by the name, the app requires root previlages.
Cheers!
Is it allowed on the V? Its default is 160.

I currently just downloaded this app to try it out.. changed it from 160 to 130 and it froze the phone up.. made the screen look like a tv when you change it to an off channel with all the snow lol .. Phone is not restarting and looks good.. I'll try it one more time to double check and report back
Alright i was able to turn it down to about 140 and it seems to work pretty well.. I dont know if ill end up keeping this app just becuase i'm fine with how it looks just figured id let ya'll know also dont put it to apply at boot just in-case lol
I tried lower than 150, and I get a.black shadow near the bottom using a app.

I use this one. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.birdapi.android.dpi

I've tried it before too, certain ROM's don't like you changing the dpi. Like with the CM nightly's, i got lag all over, going down to 140

Changing razr dpi

Is it okay to change the razr dpi if so anyone recommend. Good Ond
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
How is that even possible?
"dpi" is generally referring to "dots per inch", a spec on printers. If he's referring to "ppi", or "pixels per inch", the spec for pixel density on a display, then no- it cannot be changed.
You need a root device and there are apps in the market for this, like dpi changer. Make sure your prepared for the worst if you pick a bad setting. Not everyone has a perfect experience.

Have u tryed a different dpi like with lcd density changer apk
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I haven't tried it on my razr, but on my old galaxy s you could simply change it in your build.prop if you have root then reboot for it to take affect.

I have mine set to 230 right now. I personally just used ROM toolbox, but it is just a build prop setting i've also changed my wifi scan interval, ring delay, and proximity sensor delay.

I used Motomizer by J.Y. Daddy. Easy to use. It needs root.

Lower is better right? I have it running on 200, just changed it with a file explorer (open build.prop in the system folder look for the line LCD.density) and try some settings on, google play and some apps don't work properly anymore when density is too low.
dpi lowering failed
I had no problems using LCD Monitor app to lower the dpi on my CDMA RAZR M with ICS, but when I had JB running on it all I got was an endless loop at reboot. I believe it got stuck while shutting down. I forced it and got it to boot to Safestrap but thats as far as I could go. I really do have this phone. Or should I say I hate Verizon for locking the bootloaders. Probably gonna sell it and go back to my trusty D2 and good old Froyo. NEVER had a problem. And dropped that phone hundreds of times on the pavement and it never faulted. I doubt the RAZR will be that tough

I used to keep mine at 200dpi. Stock was 240dpi. But now that I flashed Jelly Bean I havent been able to change it using LCD Monitor app. Anyone know if its possible and if so how to do it? I really miss my 200dpi resolution.

Any way to trick play store into thinking my density is different?

I have my density set lower than normal and it prevents me from downloading certain apps. Is there any way to trick the play store into thinking my density is normal so I can download everything without having to change it back and forth?

Lux profiles!

So I have had lux for a while and still don't know what set of samples is battery efficient and still giving me good screen-on time. Anyone have any good set-up? Feel free to share your profiles!

I haven't done anything with this app yet myself, but I too had the same question and found this a while back.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537770. Maybe it'll help.

Use Ascendingly, its the most responsible profile for that device.
-Lux use less than 1% of battery so dony bother about it, the brightness of the phone will be the best due to the light terms with that profile..,
In night it will get to -30% or even lower so if you use your phone in darks room or at night it even can save you battery at its way way more better then the stock auto brightness..
reemar what are your config in lux.
Gesendet von meinem LG-D802 mit Tapatalk 2
already talled you..
Adjust: Ascendingly
Using Profile: Auto (i set sunset location)
And i disable the status bar icon and notification because i hate a non-stop notification
+Drag Lux Dash to home launcher for quick check up..
[--no need to mention that i have the paid app, if you are cheapskate, this is not a problem to get the paid app for free, ask google, he will tell you..]
i am very satisfied with this app and the settings i set for that..
thank you reemar. i will apply your config now. lux is better than the standard brightness adjustment.

Hmm I haven't tried ascending yet. I'll have to give it a try.
