I got some problems with the write permissions on my sd card. From time to time my permisiions switches to R/O, although Root explorer doesnt show it. I need to switch to R/O and then back to regain write permissions. If i dont do that i cannot write or delete any file from sd card and i get the "Error deleting file" message. This recently happened afther playing Assassins Creed and the game could not save data. But the situation occured a few weeks ago when the game was not installed and did not know the R/O switch trick, so i had to format the card and do a clean flash.
I dont have long named files on the card (the kind that cannot be deleted by windows OS). All the files that innitialy could be deleted and/or moved become read only, like the sd card gets locked or something, and the only way to unlock it is the way described above.
Writing permissions on sd card are also not modified in Root explorer.
Any idea why this happens? I looked around and find others with the same problem but no solutions.
My card is a 16 Gb class 4 Kingston.
Also, it seems that the error occurs while connected to usb, and removing write potect using Root explorer doesnt work until disconnected.
hello, another newbie here. i have been running cm7 on a 32gb sandisk sd on my 16 nook tablet. . when i start it up it reboot every 1 min and 45 seconds latter.
i got it to quit once and i just never restarted, that worked fine till i lost my soft keys and had to restart. now i cant get it to stop rebooting.
any help other than completely starting over. also is there any connection between this problem and the amount of apps i have on the sd card?
i have alot, over 200 and i dont want to have to reinstall them all again, or should i take some, or alot of them off ?
thanks alot for reading and any help would be appreciated.
If you can, you can back up your apps and data to an SD card using a free app called Titanium backup. As for your rebooting problem, I'm not sure. I honestly don't think it's because of the quantity of apps you have installed. Maybe your SD card is being unmounted for some reaosn.
I had experiences with a PNY Class 10 card that would reboot into stock ROM then gett stuck at the CM7 splash screen after trying to turn back on from completely off state. It could be the SD card, I'm not sure.
can Titanium backup be run on a computer not the tablet, cause at 1min 45 seconds between restarts i dont have enough time.

No Titanium Backup is an app run within Android. So is your NT rebooting after exactly 1 minute 45 seconds every time?

ok, thanks ill keep looking
ok, i got it to stop rebooting, but... What i did was as soon as it started up i went to setting/storage/unmount sd( the one it uses for sd storage).
i unmounted this and it quit rebooting, but then i was unable to access any of my apps, cause that was were they were stored. so i figured that it was stable and i remounted the sd card and.... it went into the reboot loop again. so after several tries i got the sd card unmounted again, but now what ??? any suggestions ??????????????????????????
Do you have an external card reader hooked up to your pc ?
Backup the TiB folder, remake the card. CM7 is now in beta ( have fixes ).
.
Ah, Succulent's cm7 ( also beta ) works to an external card. ( I have not tested this personally, but others report success ! )

If your user data partition is causing the bootloops, I'm not sure. You might be forced to make the ROM again.

Sd card dead try Sandisk class 10 series
i have a non rooted 6.0 with latest update.
yesterday and tomorrow morning, i recognized that the avatars in wechat are not shown. i wanted to open the internal folder with total commander and got a failure: folder not available or cannot be opened. then i tried to access the internal storage directly with total comamnder but same issue with error message: no internal storage available. please format.
after rebooting the phone it works again. now i want to know if there are some check tools or how to fix. notice, i have no root, but maybe there are some erros in tables or whatelse. but it is interesting that this occurs over night. during the night the phone is on charge and not offline or in flight mode.
i had this in similar with external sd card some weeks ago. only after a reboot it worked again. and now the internal storage is the problem. i do not want to reboot every day.
does it only happen with total commander or also with the stock file manager?

If you have root - try NextApp SDFix - solve all problems for me with read/write.
Thanks for reply, nextapp only show "No action required" device appear have write access to sdcard. But wirte on sdcard after 10 minutes booting phone not working. First 10 minutes working perfect.
