Hey there everyone. Weird problem but I can't for the life of me get my core 2 to come online in kernel auditor no matter what kernel or ROM I am on (went back to stock and that didn't fix it. Currently on cm13 official) messing with core control didn't help me out either. And I've gone from official kernel to blaze and even radon. Any ideas what's going on?

Turn off the "apply on boot" switch at the top in cpu section and then reboot.

Hello , i just got my prime few days ago (.21 version)
I want to ask if the kernels / Roms are better then the stock? if yes why?
I know i cant root now , hope root will release soon
Thanks!
Hi!
I'm using Virtuous Prime .21, because its rooted, has built in OC and almost no bloatware.
i tried motley and snb kernel both for their OC capabilities, but im having some strange issues with them, maybe they are rom related because virtous is already oced.
I'm a crack flashed I have tried every ROM
My order:
AOKP
WSG Beta
Virtuous
Stock
Primalicious
Not yet. I don't want to void my warranty just yet incase I have a hardware problem sprout up (Which it did in the form of a dodgy camera) or in the slim chance that Asus offers a swap policy for Primes with better WiFi. I'll either wait until my warranty runs out or not do it at all, I'm happy with stock as it is at the moment .

If your waiting for .21 to be rooted to flash a rom/kernel, there's no need. Just unlock boot loader and fast boot flash recovery and kernel

Yes much better! Aokp and wsg are amazing! Almost witsh this device had safestrap so I could use both. For kernels I use motley and will start to use shaky.
Did some testing for shaky and the guy is going to bring a WICKED kernel our way with some time and testing.
Exciting stuff on the horizon! Good time to own a prime.

So Im trying to OC my Evo to play n64oid(yessss)
and Im flashing the Silverneedle kernel using Kernel Manager Lite and it hangs on the Flashing Kernel screen. The wheel just keeps turning,am I doing something wrong?I've waited over 5 minutes and it still hasn't completed,am I just impatient or what?lolI've backed up the stock ROM,do I need to change my ROM?
Please help I really need to get N64oid working as thats one of the bigger reasons why Im keeping this phone, the 1.2ghz CPU is just too tempting to not OC and N64oid lags currently, but some people have it playing perfectly on there Evo3d's?I did a kill on all unnecessary apps and it still lags, idk but I need my n64 games
I don't think that kernel plays well on the latest 2.17 build.

Ah which one would you suggest then?
Keep in mind I must be able to OC
OK good news:I sucessfully flashed a Antrhrax Kernel
Bad news:Wont let me OC or install another one.
Kernel manager just keeps going back to the list of roms after I attempt it,what gives?

If you are wanting to run oc you will need to find a kernel that is built to run on the current software your phone is on.. Such are you 2.17 or 2.08? Are you rooted running a stock rom ?
i just installed stock ics on my galaxy tab, rooted it, and i installed pershoots kernel which messed my system all up, it made it really glitchy and the wifi wouldn't turn on, thank God for a nandroid backup. Is their a way to fix that or does pershoot's kernel just not install right on a stock os?

I asked about this because I wanted to use pershoot's ICS kernel to resolve a screen flicker issue. It did do that, but I lost the ability to use wifi which of course makes a p7510 pretty useless.
Task mentioned (and pershoot also mentions on the DB blog) that the latest version of the kernel is really designed for use with CM ROMs and is AOSP based. It didn't work properly for me on Task's ICS and probably won't for stock either. Stock firmware with stock kernel is the way to go for now, I guess.
Thanks! Yea, the same thing happened to me about the wifi, it wouldn't work at all. Maybe they'll come out with a custom ics rom with the camera working sometime soon. I like using a rooted stock ics better than a custom honeycomb, it's just better.

Hi,
For the past while i was getting the SOD only using Siyah based kernels and Phenomenal was working fine for me, but after updating to version 6.1 my phone has started to switch off again. Is this a problem with hardware and do i need to send the phone away for repair or can it be fixed by myself some other way?
I have went back to Phenomenal 5,5 kernel and am waiting to see if i still get the problem.
Cheers.

Hello,
I have tried just about all the latest ICS and JB roms......
The make of your phone. There are many different variants of your device. I9100 G/M/P/T
Are you rooted/unrooted?
What rom you are using? -and- What kernel are you using?
Have you flashed any mods/scripts/themes?
Have you changed DPI? If yes, to what?
I have a UK T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II I9100XXLQ6
I am rooted
I was Dual Booting with SuperNexus JB Build 2 and Portal Rom 2.4 using the latest siyah kernel and i got the SOD using SuperNexus, i then removed The second rom and used the ultimate kernel cleaning script to remove Siyah and installed Phenomenal 6.1 with Portal Rom and i got the SOD a day later.
I am not using any mods or extra scripts
I have not changed the dpi
I noticed this problem when i first tried a dual boot a few months ago but has been stable until now only with Phenomenal 5.5. i have tried the other siyah based kernels and i still got the SOD.
Yesterday i flashed the Phenomenal 5.5 along with Portal rom and it's been fine so far but i can get 2-4 days before it happens then it happens a few times daily after the first SOD.
EDIT: Thats it switched off again. Think i will need to send it in for repair?
Hi all
Tried posting before but not getting any answers
Im new to android and have been tweaking my samsung s4 for a couple of months now. I have a Samsung S4 GT I9505 with TWRP boot recovery , nova launcher prime and KitKat 4.4 Google play edition Rom. I have also flashed Faux Kernel onto my phone to prevent random restarts. The problem is I am still getting restarts (about 8 a day) the problem was a lot worse before I re-flashed it with the same kernel. I have tried flashing it again but I still get the same problem. Also some of my apps restart more often then before I had the custom ROM (GPE)
Help would be most appreciated
Thanks
Aiden

Send it back to the manufacturer. It's obviously a damaged phone if it can't last one day without a reboot.
The phone was fine before I installed the rom.

Not sure if it will help you at all, but read this thread and see if it may be an option.
