Hello fellow androidians
Just wanted some help with getting my galaxy grand plus updated to kitkat (from jellybean) if at all possible? Its mainly to get pokemon go lol or even happy with a updated jellybean version.
Done a fair bit of this and that but haven't had any luck and since this is the place me and a few others were involved in/ crafted a custom rom/g-apps/Google framework package for the "PENDOS"; thought id ask aroubd here
Cheers and thanks in advance :good:

[Q] new to Galaxy 10.1 scene, which rom?

Hey all, just got myself a Galaxy Tab 10.1, i came on here to scope out some themes and discovered there are a whole lot more than that here. I see alot of custom ROMS on here, can someone please recommend me.. are there any noticeable performance gains from it? thanks!
welcome..and u must be new to xda..
pls ask such a question in the general section.
Dev is for dev threads only (ie roms, kernel dev)
so the general section will be the place where you will have the answer

This ROM was released just a few days ago by 2 of our finest developers.

i personally love the **** out of Bindroid.. It's smooth and fast.. I have tried Paris and you can't go wrong with that rom either.. Try them all.. They will all be an improvement to the stock rom..
Personally, I'd say go with In Paris by Phantom_Hacker and task650. Version 4 is due out fairly shortly, but I don't think you can go wrong with V2 for now.
Just make sure you do a full wipe and clear the caches in CWM Recovery before flashing it

Hello,
Please clarify which version of the 5.0 you have (U.S. or International). I have the U.S. version of the 5.0 and I'm running CM 10.1 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2264671
Also, if you have further questions, please direct them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283877
Happy flashing!

im jsut offering my 2 cents here so...........
since your set on flashing to a roms of some sort skip the ICS roms i find that the JB roms are more stable and have better kernels to pair them up with. But some people have problems flashing from GB directly to JB if you encounter that problem you will first have to flash ICS than to a JB rom personally i would use the pacman roms its customizeablity is unreal

[Q][Help] Development for Samsung Galaxy Pro GT-B7510

Hello Everyone.
I have had the Samsung Galaxy Pro running rooted gingerbread for some time now and have waited for some development but it seems there is not much interest in this device. I want to try and give it a go myself. What i need is some help in creating or porting a custom recovery first. Any help is appreciated. I need someone to point me in the right direction.

[Q] ROMS for Galaxy Tab 3

Hi all,
I've been reading this forums for years but just decided to become a member, so I guess I'm new as a member.
I'm not sure if there's a better place to ask this, but I was wondering if there are any ROMS for the Galaxy Tab 3(GT-P5210) model.
I have come across ROMS with 4.2.2 version, but nothing newer. I have searched quite a bit and still haven't found anything. Appologies if I'm not looking hard enough.
I would like to root my Tab 3 and put a custom ROM with hopefully Kit Kat on it. Also info on how to root the Tab 3. I have just done my Galaxy s4 if that helps.
Thanks in advance for your help
John

How do make Galaxy S3 usable? (2019, Latest ROM, rooting, etc - new user)

Hello, this is my first time posting on here.
I have an old Galaxy S3, USA version, T-mobile, SGH-T999. I was wondering how to update it to make it usable? From what I've read online the best way is to root and put in a custom ROM. The problem I'm having is finding the latest ROMs. Is there any way to find the latest official ROMs for the phone? And if I download an unofficial one, how can I know which will run well on my phone? Do I just simply get the latest unofficial ROM?
Lastly, if any one has any step by step guide or video on how to root and install ROMs it would be much appreciated as I've never done something like this before. Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm new to this site and have been having trouble navigating and searching old posts.
Thank you.

I suspect the reason that you haven't gotten any responses in the last day or so is that you are on the wrong part of the Forum! This is the area for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7" Tablet, not the Galaxy S3 Smartphone.
You might want to take a look over here for the T-Mobile S3.
Hope that helps clear things up
