Recovery is not seandroid enforcing HELP! - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
SM-G925I,system 6.0.1 rooted. I tried to install TWRP through their app. Reboot into 'Recovery is not seandroid enforcing'. Tried to restart into download mode, failed, reboot straight back to logo. Tried to power off with holding power key, no respond. Drained battery until screen off. Logo shows as soon as power connected, stucked again. Tried to restart into recovery mode from logo screen, no respond. Anyone has any other choices? Or i'm done here?:crying:
PLEASE HELP ME!

This is basically what I'm experiencing, though I didn't do a single thing to my phone, and I can't for the life of me figure anything out about it other than that it's SM-G925F and that it's from Norway... Hard life for me ATM

Hold power button for 30 seconds. Phone will go off.
Hold home + down + power for 20 seconds until in download mode. Flash stock firmware.
If you want root back flash cf auto root.
I use flashify to install TWRP.

Thank you so much for your help. I went through those buttons couple times with a stopwatch for accuracy. Although Screen didn't turn off during "power off". But made it into Download Mode. Reflashed TWRP in Odin. Problem solved.

Hello,
(Posted this earlier, but just saw it was in the category of General S5830.. appologies for that)
Unfortunately I've got the same problem. I can't get my S5830i in download mode.
I know that it's Volume up+down and power button. Screen light up and off... Then up again .....and that's it. Black screen with the backlight turned on.
What happened?
I tried installing custom rom (RazoDroid) and during install it froze.... Bricked my phone. Was able to go into download mode and used Odin v1.84 to unbrick. After that I installed RazoDroid and tried to patch some system files to get arabic language working (patch found on this forum)... Didn't work...so installed Retribution, but patch also didn't work on that one.
Decided to install middle eastern rom on the phone (as it's for a friend who's english is bad but arabic is perfect)...tried going to download mode...and nothing..
Solutions
1) Tried depleting phone completely and holding buttons then installing the battery... No success
2) Tried removing battery and inserting USB.. then volume up+down then inserting battery... No success
3) Tried removing battery and inserting USB...then volume up+down+power then inserting battery.... No succes
4) Tried number 2+3 with non-standard USB...no success
5) Tried OneClick soft unbrick..... no success
6) Installing different custom roms.... but understand that this doesn't change boot
7) Internet/forums are out of solutions..... Posting this post ....success?
---------- Post added at 12:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 AM ----------
Just thinking... Is it possible to update/repair the boot file...in order to get the download mode working again?

I had the same problem as you, I tried for hours to get the dam phone into download mode without success.
When I try to put the phone into download mode I just get a constant black (but 'on') screen. I found that even though this is the case the phone is still recognised in odin, as is the yellow bar would appear in odin. I was able to unbrick my phone by reloading a stock rom and then re-put retribution back on the phone but even now if I try to put the phone in download mode I still get the black screen.
Ive learned to live with it.

Lee,
Question... I thought I needed the phone in download mode in order to reload/reflash a stock rom. Could you tell me how to do this....
I tried Odin before and it was just waiting to connect to the phone...
What I want to do is get a middle eastern stock rom installed and give it to my friend. I'm not interested to have download mode working.
Many thanks for the support!

GUYS after some trial and error I got it back to work...
apperantly there are 2 download modes..
1. emergency download : volume up + volume down + power
2. "standard" download mode: volume down + power
the emergency download mode pops up (white letters on screen) when booting the Phone with: volume up + down + power.
if you use volume down + power you get the download mode with yellow letters !!!
if you get the yellow download letters:
1. go to odin (i take it that you have the right version and the rom) install the rom. Check odin to see if it has installed everything = pass
2. The Phone reboots -> diconnect the usb cable to finish the install (odin is waiting for reboot but ignore that).
3. Reboot the system in to recovery mode: POWER + HOME button
4. from the Recovery Menu, select “Wipe data/factory reset” then select “Wipe Cache Partition” and then select “reboot system now” to reboot your system.
5. wait for about 5 minutes and the Phone starts os. Connect to your google account and you are finished!
I had a completely bricked Phone but now I got an official factory version running on it again!
I hope this is off some help for others with the same problem!

The first thing you need to do is enable NVFlash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774352
Once you do that you can continue tinkering with the device
The screen you linked to is the bootloader screen not the recovery screen. to enter the recovery you have to press vol down, on the RCK icon. If you loaded the recovery successfully it should load, if not you need to try to install it again because something did not work correctly.
Word of caution recoveries do not work yet with JellyBean so if you load a JB rom, do not try to load a recovery, this is what almost bricked my device, but thanks to NVFlash i was saved.
Good Luck and Happy Modding!

I think he already has nvflash or he wouldn't have the rck icon.
to enter recovery he uses volume up on the icon not volume down. volume down selects it.
recoveries work fine as long as you are restoring a jb rom and using twrp.

I don't have NVFlash, stock device a week old and I have the RCK icon when I hold Vol Down and power on.
I never used NVFlash.
I have the recovery icon but when I select it (as on the picture), there is a text saying "Booting recovery kernel image" and then nothing else happends.
Since i could not turn off the device, i let it run out of battery yesterday. So i recharged it, and now I can't access fastboot anymore, when I do power + vol down I end up on the asus boot logo...

The problem is that I could not turn it off, so it normaly went out of battery.
Today I wanted to try NVFlash so I recharged my prime, and when I wanted to boot it and put it in fastboot mode I couldnt get to the selection screen (with RKV, Android, Fastboot, Wipe). It just boots on the asus boot logo.

[Q] [REQ]Please help me recover from soft-brick

So I tried to root my Galaxy Note and The root kernel I tried to flash was the wrong one so Id screwed it up royally. I'm on Official 4.0.4 UCLF6
but the I'm pretty sure the root method was for Gingerbread. So I tried to get stock back by using Samsung Kies and that didn't work. So now when I try to use Kies it will only let me do emergency recovery and when I go through all the prompts it gets to the screen that says "Proceed to firmware emergency recovery" But the progress bar does not move and stays at 0%. Even when I pull the battery and put it back in the only screen that will come up is the emrgency recovery screen asking to select recovery mode in Kies.Someone please help I had this phone sold and was gonna put on the ROM that the buyer wanted and now I've fuqed myself out of some money that I was gonna use to put towards my engagement ring for my girl. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help!!!!!
Try using Odin to get back to stock GB and root from there.

Or get in download mode and flash the correct kernel with Odin.
The only problem is I can't get the phone to work with odin. The phone won't go into "download mode", just "Recovery mode". Samsung Kies won't fix the phone in recovery mode, so I'm in a bad place.

Also when I plug in the phone it comes up COM4, but the square is blue not yellow!!
It does not matter if it is yellow or blue. And are you going into download mode correctly? It is volume down and power.

Yes, I have pulled the battery put it back in, held down the voldown button then pressed power. It went to the first screen prompting to hit voldown to cancel or volup to enter download mode. When I hit volup to enter download mode, it goes into "recovery mode" that you would use for Samsung Kies, but it won't go past 4% on the 2nd stage after it decyrpts the binaries

You could pull the battery and write down your s/n. Then in Kies click tools/Firmware Upgrade and Initialization. It will ask for the model number then serial number. See if that works and good luck.

Download mode (for I7I7MX Devices)
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press Power and Volume down together.
3. When phone vibrates once get off with power button but keep holding the volume down Button untill you see a warning.
4. Then press Volume Up to get in to Download Mode.
Seems like you do not have drivers installed properly.

Help! Phone won't stop rebooting! S6 edge sm-g925i

I woke up yesterday and found my phone dead.
It keeps rebooting and I am stuck on the Samsung logo screen.
The notification light on the upper left side stays on when the phone has power.
I am NOT able to get in recovery mode, but I can get in download mode.
Holding the power button won't turn off the phone, I have to hold volume down + power button to turn it off.
Things that I've tried:
1. Kies and Smartswitch (Succeed! But the phone won't go further than the Samsung logo screen and it continues to reboot and reboot)
2. flashing firmware downloaded from sammobile with odin (I've downloaded 3 firmwares, two 6.01 and one 5.11, the two 6.01 work, it says "PASSED," then my phone reboots and it's all the same. It won't go further than the logo screen. The 5.11 one doesn't work)
3. flashing stock recovery and twrp with odin, ( i tried a few versions of those, the worked ones say "PASSED," but I then get recovery is not seandroid enforcing or no message at all, either way I am still not able to get into recovery mode
Please Help!:crying::crying:

2. flashing firmware downloaded from sammobile with odin (I've downloaded 3 firmwares, two 6.01 and one 5.11, the two 6.01 work, it says "PASSED," then my phone reboots and it's all the same.
Please Help!:crying::crying:

Flash the stock 6.0.1 firmware that passes before. When phone is bootlooping hold only POWER AND VOL DOWN. This will power off and boot into safe mode. As soon as it powers on hold HOME POWER AND UP. So you need to hold down and power then as soon as it goes off and boots to galaxy s6 edge powered by android press vol up aswell this should get you to recovery. Wipe data and cache and it should boot up. Keep me updated

See if the charger cable is connected, holding the vol down+power button wouldn't shut down the phone (or maybe it shuts it down but it just reboots itself up immediately again)
I held the vol down+power button, and switched to holding the vol up+home button+power when I saw the logo came up, and while I was holding them, the logo faded and all I had is a black screen. I kept holding it anyway for 2 minutes, nothing happened. :crying:
please advise

Down and power boots to safe mode, as soon as screen goes off and boots back up recovery combination should work. What region are you in? What firmware did you flash on 6.0.1?

I just used Kies to get the official firmware in it again. I am in the US. My phone though is an international version of the S6 edge SM-G925I.
I tried to flash a Stock Recovery in it with odin again since I just couldn't get in recovery and it failed!! I got it in last time when I was on the G925IDVS3EPIF_G925IOPS3EPGG_G925IDVU3EPIA_HOME.tar.md5 firmware

This is the one that I downloaded before. I extracted the zip, put the phone into download mode and connected it to the pc. Open Odin, press AP and chose the extracted file., "start". It passed and rebooted. But I am still stuck on the logo screen.
I also tried to separate the firmware files into AP and BL with script, it also passed, but I am still stuck!
What should I do?

I tried two g925I from india
One g925i from Australia (Optus)
One g925I from Australia (the latest two on the sammmobile site0
the kies, the smartswitch
all of them succeeded.
but i just can't get into recovery mode. I tried to flash stock recovery in it, even when it succeeded, i still can't get in recovery mode.
I tried flashing twrp too, it succeeded but there's "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" on the screen
when I tried a G925F one, it says "secure check fail <bootloader>" on the phone
now when i get into download mode, there are two lines at the bottom saying:
knox warranty void:1 (0x030c)
RP SWREV: B:3 K:2 S:2

Yeah they will always show up in download mode.
Try to flash one again, but uncheck auto reboot in odin, after flashing try to boot into recovery. How long did you leave it booting for? Sometimes first boot after flash can take up to 30 minutes.
If not keep trying the combo i said...
Power and down until phone reboots.
As soon as screen comes back on powered by android hold vol up home and power.
You have to be quick with it you have to get the recovery buttons as soon as it boots.
Or try boot into download mode, then as soon as you press up to cancel it phone will boot, as soon as you press cancel do recovery combo

The phone wont do anything. Either it will shut off or go right back to the error screen. It used to go to download mode, not no more. Ill try what that guy said, but it doesn't go to any other screen.
For s6, s5, s4, s3 etc. you can put your phone into download mode by pressing and holding "power" + "home" +"vol dn" until it turns on. Than press "vol up" to enter donwload mode. If it turns on, then you can plug in your usb cable and flash new firmware with odin. There are lots of guides on internet about how to use odin. Your phone have to be charged of course. If it doesn't turn on try pluging in the charger and wait a couple of hours then try again.
Next time when you're rooting, use TWRP or CWM ways, they are safer.

I got the barcode. But its not the serial number. And the imei is the same as the dec
What does it say on error screen? A photo can be helpful. I suppose you don't have original box of phone that has SN on it.

Just an idea but try holding down "power" + "vol dn" for more than 7 seconds while phone is showing error screen. Phone will force shut down. Then try to enter download mode. I don't have samsung but my brother has a s5, he says he never encountered a brick that can't be solved with download mode and odin duo.
