Metro Pcs Alcatel Fierce 4

If anyone would kindly help me out & if possible give me a small walk through on how to do it I would be forever grateful.
Thanks in advance

I looked a little and I didn't find pretty much for rooting your device. In thesr cases you will have to use general tools like kingroot, kingroot pc, kingoroot and ... If you are lucky enough your device will show weakness in the root exploits and will eventually gets rooted. To start try this apk of kingroot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20228
If you couldn't root Your device using kingroot you will have to use pc apps like kingoroot:
https://www.kingoapp.com
Remember to report back. Sorry that I didn't have much to give you, your device didn't even have a single xda-developers thread.

I have this phone - I tried kingroot android-no luck. Tried both kingroot and kingoroot pc, and neither will recognize that I have the phone connected via usb, so no luck yet.

Thank you, I tried all of those & no luck yet... I don't what else to do but thanks again

The HTC desire 626s I believe has been ahieved if im not mistakes you need to unlock the bootloader then flash twrp and use twrp to flash super su but his is the wrong forum for that

Just got this phone I miss having root.
Any word on a root method?

How much would someone charge me to make root for this device?
I mean realistically with the time and effort needed to accomplish such ?

Okay, so I successfully obtained root on the 5054n running 5.1.1. It's very much the same phone with the same specifications. I am thinking if I can trick my windows pc into thinking my 5056N is the 5054N I wlll be able to install the firmware from the official Alcatel tool on my PC I've used numerous times to update my 5054N. Any way to trick my PC into thinking it's a different model phone?

I obtained root on the 5054N also when I first bought device or was simple using kingroot. Never found any roms but was able to debloat and install freedom. Then one night I made the mistake of downloading mac address changer that I've used before on other rooted devices as soon as I have it root access phone froze then went into boot loop permanently. I have no pc right now so hard to say just how bad I messed device uti when I took it to metro they were out of 5054n and upgraded me to the 5056 no questions. That's where I'm at now with no root still

If you need help on recovering it from the boot loop I can actually help! If you still got it let me know!

Any updates for rooting this phone?

I am trying kingroot on ny 5056W now (T-Mobile) on Android 6.0.1.
I'll update if it works.
Edit:
Tried latest kingoroot and kingroot - Neither worked after multiple tries (Because sometimes you need to run it multiple times.)

I'm in the same boat just switched to the 5056 after rooting my 5054n but wondering if the twrp recovery will work on it aswell like the 5054

Personally I think it would if there was some way to spoof the PC into thinking it was a 5054N, It is essentially the same exact hardware I don't see why not. I am just unaware on how to spoof the driver for the device.

Rooting is all about software, not hardware. If the software does not allow it, blocks it, or patches it, then no amount of "spoofing" will allow root. Same hardware or not, the devices will have essentially different firmwares (Not talking about ROM) and Kernels that can and probably are preventing root access. The best way at this point is for someone to port TWRP to our device, we OEM unlock, and then flash SuperSU (And pray it does not cause a bootloop)

I saw this in the developer settings.

[Q] Unlock and root Huawei H881C

So I recently bought this smartphone from walmart under Straight Talk. And from my understanding it must be pretty recently released as I haven't found much in terms of unlocking/rooting/any posting about it on any forums. After numerous failed attempts at rooting it (z4root, poot, bin4ry, etc) I learned that I have to unlock the bootloader first. "Progress! Finally!" I think to myself, go to their website to request an unlock code....and it turns out my phone model isn't listed. At this point I figure if the company website is handing out unlock codes perhaps I can contact support...long story short, no. The support person didnt even believe I was on the right website when I told him you could request unlock codes, and proceeded to ask me the brand of my phone, twice. Go Figure.
Has anyone had any experience unlocking huawei brand smartphones? Is there anything that will help me out with something this new? I google it and get a crap ton of info on modems instead.

Wow thanks! Took the words right out of my mouth hah, worked like a charm. So you have the same device as me then? Have you tried flashing any custom ROMs to it?? Thats what I ultimately wanted to do but I doubt any would have support for this phone..?

I wanted to try building clockwork for it, but I can't find the recovery partition. Without a concrete partition table, and not knowing if the recovery binaries are in initramfs of the boot.img, I'm weary of trying it as I don't have a a private PC to install fastboot drivers to test it. Once a custom recovery is built I can start working on a modified ROM and hopefully find some source for the kernel and try overclocking patches etc.
Maybe something like the roms I built for the Samsung optimus q. Or possibly starting an arearom development team over at Androidarea51.com
Out should only be a matter of time before interest picks up, it's one of the best phones straighttalk is offering for the price. If anyone is interested or has information on developing any of the custom recovery programs like twrp 4ext or cwm I'd love to start a team fit development.
I've found firmware files on some Chinese websites, but no straighttalk specific builds.
I apologize for reviving an old thread like this but I've been looking for a custom rom for my ascend plus for about a week now and no luck whatsoever, if you ever find any info, please, let me know!
I'm just waiting on someone to build a recovery

..and they were never heard from again. Seriously though I'm curious if you made any progress? I'm having fun making this phone better, expanding my storage space with link2sd and anything else I can figure out. The HUAWEI H881C has low internal storage, but for the small price I'm not complaining. I liked it the 5 days I had it before I hacked it and its even better once its rooted and modified.
Besides my Android YINLIPS YDPG18 gaming pad the HUAWEI H881C is my 1st Android phone. Might be fun to try a custom rom on it. Good luck with it.

SRSRoot the HUAWEI H881C/Ascend Plus
Its pretty easy rooting the HUAWEI H881C/Ascend Plus with SRS One Click Root in just a few minutes using the [Root Device (SmartRoot)] option.
Before you connect the phone to the PC make sure to go into phone settings and under Settings-->PERSONAL-->Security check/enable the “Unknown sources” option under the DEVICE ADMINISTRATION section. Then back out from there once into the main settings screen again and look toward the bottom under SYSTEM-->{ } Developer options and at the very top of that submenu check/enable the “USB debugging” option.
From a windows PC you will need java, the SRSRoot program available free from their website and the Huawei H881C’s ADB drivers installed. You don't need to find the ADB driver install because its actually in your phone. If you didn't notice before when you plug your phone into a PC it automagically mounts and maps a drive letter to an image/folder on your phone with the install executable for the ADB drivers. On that drive:\drivers\adb_driver you will find the driver installer exe named, "Handset WinDriver.exe".

Once all that is installed reboot your PC if necessary. Make sure your phone is plugged in to your PC then run the program link that SRSRoot puts on your desktop by default. If you're on Vista, Windows 7 or 8 you might need to right click the shortcut and run SRSRoot as admin. The rooting process should take less than a minute if all is working correctly.
I would try the [Root Device (SmartRoot)] option 1st. Once its finished rooting your phone SRSRoot will install SuperUser on to your phone and that's it you're rooted.
Good luck!
This will also work in a properly setup virtualbox install of windows. I myself used a virtualbox install of windows xp to root mine since I run arch based Manjaro linux on my PC.

Okay, so I rooted my H881c with ease, but I've been looking for stuff I can do with it rooted. Ive changed boot animation that was fun, here and there changed some specs. I'm new to the world of modding and android, so i am trying to learn what flashing, kernel, nand are. I'm sorry i am a noob and ill admit it. But since i get have this phone through straight talk, i haven't received and ota updates and i really want to update to 4.1 jelly bean at least. is there anyway of manually putting the update or upgrade on my phone so i can be on OFW jelly bean? I'm sorry if thats a stupid question but no one has been able to answer my question because when i google this phone, no one has it or they have a different Huawei phone. any help guys please, it would be very much appreciated.

REVIVAL!!!
What has happened to the recovery support for this phone?
I have checked everywhere and seen nothing!!
Is there a unlocker for this thing yet???
I'm so confused as to how I'm going to put a custom recovery on here.
What can I do????
P.S. I've tried to e-mail Huawei and they said they can't provide a code!!! WTF??!!!
And no one responds...
Is there a way I can start the process of unlocking bootloader?
Never tried before. A little help needed.

Well...
From what i can tell, the ball is rolling on the Huawei H881C Acsend Ace & have been watching it closely. They have managed to pull the system.img boot.img and recovery.img & successfully UNLOCK the bootloader. BUT the problem is that when they try to make the unlock stick, the "Sig Verify" fails and therefore, nothing more has progressed YET. :cyclops: Still hopeful. :crying:

[ROOT] How To Root Blu Vivo 5 (Android 5.1; Build 27-01-2016 or Older)

I decided I would start this thread as no one else has started it yet.
This is how to root your Blu Vivo 5!
****BEFORE BEGINNING MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE "ENABLE OEM UNLOCK" CHECKED IN DEVELOPER OPTIONS AS THIS WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE***
1. Go To h t t p : / / w w w . k i n g r o o t . n e t / (Can't Post Links Yet, Remove Spaces)
2. Download KingRoot (On Your Phone; Or On Your PC and Copy To Your Phone)
3. Open The App and Click "Try To Root" When It Prompts To
4. Once Done, Click The Orange Button in the Center to Fix Permissions
5. Done!
This method was tested by me and a few others. Confirmed working.
***Optionally, you can replace KingRoot with SuperSU using Super-Sume or Apps of that nature but I have not tested these methods personally so tread carefully at your own risk.
Additionally, I can confirm that all root features have worked so far (Viper4Android, AdAway, LuckyPatcher, etc)
No Custom Recoveries Are Available As of this Post, but let's keep this device alive and start development for it!
< If you guys have any questions leave them down below and I'll try to answer them as best as I can and as soon as I can>:good:
Yes been rooted since day one with king root. Just waiting on recovery like most, the device it self is amazing, besides the mms messages not coming in on third party apps this device is still a best for it's price tag.
Man, I really hope development for this device gets picked up. I would like to offer to do some but I don't have the time right now. If things free up I may tinker around with it. I would love to have twrp 3.0 and cm 13 for it but that's going to need someone to port it.
Never mind... It appears to be loose. If I push on it then it starts working.
Did anyone have a problem with ear speaker not making sound after King root? I ran the purity app that comes with it I am wondering if it disabled it or something. Speaker phone works but calls with the ear speaker I cannot here after the root. Should I uninstall kingroot and try again?
This is not helpful. Kingroot is a fools app. It will root your phone but at a significant cost to your security and privacy. Ever think it was weird that kingroot forced you to use its own SUPER-SU manager? Ever think the "Purify" app was a little weird and unessessery? I'm not going to go into details but kingroot isn't offering you a free service for nothing or out if the goodness of their hearts. They steal your information in return which is why they want you to use their app. They report back to themselves your IMEI number among other things.
When people recommend King root it's not helpful, it only makes the rooting community a worse place because noobs and non developers who are naive to these issues are the ones that pay the price.
Is kingroot really that bad?
I was looking around and there are other methods for older blu phones that use Mediatek chips that don't use KingRoot but do require flashing with a custom recovery.
Same issue
i just got mine and im having the same issue even without root. did you find a fix?

Complete FUD. After you root, you can remove "purify" and you can install a firewall to block anything you want. And you can than install any SU you choose (and remove theirs). I have used Kingroot on many phones with no security issues at all. This is all just unfounded nonsense from when it was first released (years ago) and some people were concerned because the method was not "open". Everything you said has been shown not to be true after the initial releases. Nothing worse than someone (who calls others "noobs") talking about things which they don't know and trying to sound like they know something. You should really research the latest info before you post about something like this.

I have a question... If you root the phone with this way, you could update with ota later? Thanks!
It doesn't appear that you can do any OTA's after you root.
I am trying to do the first radio update with hopes of doing the 6.0 update but this is what you get "Your system is damaged, wireless update is disabled".
If anyone knows a way around this it would be appreciated. Any way to get the updates manually and put on the SD card to update via recovery?
Blu support is not very helpful either.

Is anyone else having terrible battery life on this after upgrading to Marshmallow?
After doing the update to Marshmallow in this thread, I flashed TWRP and rooted via this thread.
Now my battery life has been absolutely terrible. Before updating to Marshmallow, I could go almost all day, have 35%+ left at night, goto sleep and then wake up with around 20% of battery all the time. Now if I goto sleep with 50% battery it's dead when I wake up. Seems to be "Wlan" and "Phone Idle" using most of the battery as you can see in the screenshot below. Also, after the phone dies and I plug it back in, it always shows as 13-15% battery life right away (odd), so I used a battery calibration app that seemed to do nothing and still same bad battery.
I'm thinking it may be due to me missing the OTA update right before the Marshmallow OTA update. I know it had to do with the radio, could that be it? Does anyone have that in a zip file I could flash via TWRP? If so, would it be ok to do that?
Any ideas would be appreciated, here's a screenshot of battery usage:

For anyone wondering, no you cannot run OTA and update your phone if you rooted using Kingroot. Even doing a factory reset won't help. You will have to flash the phone using a stock rom and then rerooting after you update.

Avast! detects it as a PUP (POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAM) due to the exploit. And yes, avast!'s detection is correct, it is "Potentially" unwanted, you have the choice to have it ignored.
Also, I have the desktop version of King R00T installed into a netbook, so I don't have all the detection's going nutz, I do my R00T and jail brakes from the netbook.
Also, does the phone have an LED notification for calls/text/mail/charging on the front?

King R00T is for Chinese phones, by Chinese people, who live in China .... :silly:
Use the desktop version as it has better exploit ability's. It works on most Chinese phones that I R00T, the last Chinese phone I did (THL T7) it was flawless.

Sorry, for the post, I figured out my own question ... :silly:
Hi, does the bootloader need to be unlocked before flashing the TWRP and if so why is there no mention of this? Thanks!
Gyro installed incorrectly.
There is a possibility that a large production run is defective.
This defect may be in all the phones produced.
The gyro was installed incorrectly and the pitch and roll are swapped.
Check your phone and report this problem to Blackview.

Trying to upgrade S4 Galaxy SCH-I545 v.I545VRSGPL1 to Marshmallow or Nougat

Sorry I posted this in the wrong area earlier and as you can probably guess I am very new to this. I have looked around on different sites and tried a few things with no success. I have an S4 Galaxy SCH-I545 v.I545VRSGPL1 and I want to upgrade it from it's present status of 5.0.1 to 7.1.2 or better and I have a few questions. 1) Does the phone have to rooted in order to do this and if so what do I use. From what I've read (and I hope I'm wrong) this particular phone from Verizon seems to be a difficult one. 2.) What would be the best performing upgrade for the phones hardware. Thanks to all for their help.

1) This phone has a locked bootloader and has to remain on Touchwiz. Rooting methods are posted in the General section. You're stuck on Lollipop with this device, however you can flash other ROMs with Flashfire.
2. That would be software. Hardware is things such as the speaker, Home button, or the device itself.

Again, being new to this, what can I actually do to this phone? You say I'm stuck on Lollipop for the OS and Touchwiz for an interface what can I use to increase it's functionality and performance ability? I read where Marshmallow doesn't have as many significant changes from Lollipop as the changes were from KitKat to Lollipop but I always thought having the most current OS would aid you in using programs and security designed for newer OS's, just like with computers. What about security and update issues, will they stop supporting Lollipop leaving vulnerable? Or is that the idea, forcing you into buying a newer phone.

Pretty much, after 18-24 months companies just stop putting out new software (to get you to buy a new phone), that's part of the reason for using custom ROMs. This device is much older than that and has a locked bootloader, keeping you from doing a lot of things, like using a ROM with an unofficial kernel, so the latest software is not possible. The Sprint and TMo versions of this phone do not have locked bootloaders and are able to use Marshmallow and Nougat, etc. So root the phone using the one methods outlined in the General section (you need to use one that uses SuperSU to use Flashfire) of this forum and then use Flashfire to flash a custom ROM in the Android Development. New features and better functionality. I also recommend removing apps you don't use to decrease RAM consumption and increase performance.
Are you saying I can root this version of my S4 (Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 v.I545VRSGPL1) and then install a custom rom to it using either SuperSU or Flashfire, right? For this version of phone are there any custom roms you would suggest using that are designed more for it? Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to do something I'll be sorry for or can't reverse or fix.
Again, thanks for all your help and guidance.

SuperSU is required to use Flashfire, but yes. I would Odin OF1 first or WiFi won't work, I would suggest Stanglitre's ROM it was the most stable I tried for the short time I had this device.
What do I use on build LRX22C.I545VRSGPL1?
I have seen other roms on the site but how do I know if they will work for my build of phone? I try to read as much as I can but the way some people talk and explain things in some of the posts it might as well be in a foreign language. lol. I hope in time I'll be able to understand all the meanings, but right it's a little tough and I don't want to mess things up because I wasn't sure of something. Are the roms made for specific builds or can any be used?

Yes they are for specific builds. You really picked one of the worst phones to start with. Do you have a PC?
Yes, I have a PC. I didn't know anything about this phone when I got it much less the problems I'm facing with it now. I just don't like these phone companies or anyone else backing you into a corner and forcing you to buy something newer because they quit taking care of that product when it's only a couple years old.

This device is more than a couple years old... But I would recommend downloading the OF1 firmware from wwe.sammobile.com and using the Odin program to flash it. Then you can use a few of the ROMs on here.
I believe I've flashed the phone successfully. The Baseband Version was - I545VRSGPL1 and now it is - I545VRUGOF1 The Android Version is still 5.0.1 At this point what can I do with or to it now? Thanks

You can now root it and flash a ROM. Just follow the rupturing instructions in the General section of the forum.
Not sure what happened but here goes. I flashed the phone to OF1 and then tried to root it so I could put on a new rom. I used kingoroot to root the phone and it showed rooted but could not load flashfire. tried a couple times but kept getting a message that the bianary was occupied and after that when I tried to boot it the phone would freeze on the verizon red boot logo. I tried to re-flash OF1 and now it's stuck on "software update failed" with a yellow triangle and under that it says " your device didn't update successfully". I'm gonna guess that all of this isn't a good thing and hope there is a possible fix for this. Any insight and help would be greatly appreciated.

Reflash OF1 with Odin and start over. I told you SuperSU was needed for Flashfire to work right. You need to use a root method that uses SuperSU. There is a couple guides in the General section of this forum.
It won't re-flash. I can boot the phone to d/l mode, then start odin, load the of1 file, it checks it successfully and when I hit start it starts working and stops in about ten seconds while trying to load "system.img.ext4" and shows FAILED

Try OC1 tar instead.
After numerous times of trying and using different cables and com ports it finally took the OF1 firmware successfully. I don't know if it was using a different port or cable or just a combination of all, but it worked. I used a root checker and it says it's not rooted. Now, do I root with SuperSU then use FlashFire to install the new rom?

twrp on alcatel raven a574bl

I have just purchased the Alcatel Raven A574BL with a Qualcomm 210 chipset . It's a great value running Android N and 2gb RAM, so being able to run a custom recovery will also make it a great value as a developer's tool. At $30 it's basically expendable, so I don't mind risking to brick it. So far I have not been able to find any root support for this device on Google. If anyone can help me get started with this, or point me in the right direction, it will be much appreciated.

My understanding is the system is locked down and cannot be done. I've been wanting to do the same on same phone in your post.
thanks for the reply. i am disappointed to learn that it's impossible to root this phone... what i really need is a phone which is under $50 and can be easily rooted. also otg support will be a great bonus. it's totally ridiculous to pay up to $500 for a pixel... just so i can have root functionality. even if i could find a good deal on a recertified, most likely it won't support the latest android OS. if anybody out there can help me with this issue... which really shouldn't be an issue at all, it will be much appreciated. i'm trying to run android N at a minimum.

Search on the TWRP website, if a phone has TWRP available for it, it will also have a rooting solution.
The rest like searching one with Android N or above, I leave it to you.

I would like to bump this thread. I am in the same boat. Googling has gotten me now where.
Possibly
Although KingRoot seems to have found an exploit, it is iffy. The problem seems to be lack of supported fastboot. Not sure about Oem unlocking, though the option still is under settings>dev options>allow oem unlock(need dev access settings>about phone>build number tap 7x) Without full fastboot support, I can't see if it does anything. There is a possible solution, but since I'm new I can't share the link
Without a potential hard brick and basically cracking the OS, root is improbable. I nay have a solution. Still working on it.
Possible solution
King root seems to have taken down the exploit, since it rarely worked. There is a post on stupdroid that may have a solution. From what I can tell(I own the A574BL), although the OEM unlock function works, fastboot either does not work, or is locked down
To root your phone there are many way.
I can help you rooted your phone by getting boot.img
If you give boot.img there might be a hope

I'll need to port it by using your stock recovery.img as base.

I just got this phone at BB for $15, on sale for 20 then another 5 email credit. Still using my Alcatel Ideal for phone use with Red Pocket AT&T sim for now, just using the Raven as kind of small wifi tablet. But I really like it after having gotten set up just right I'm pretty satisfied even with it not rooted. I'm watching this thread though, I'd probably be all over it if someone comes up with something. Good luck!

I have an Alcatel ZIP (A576BL), and I find it odd that you can root Alcatel's other devices and ported re-badged phones (ex ZTE Blade) but not THIER phones...
You can port TWRP recovery from alike devices with same chipset , android and kernel version etc. Also you can try 'systemless root' , for example Magisk.
Working with ADB Shell
So having just finished successfully rooting the Alcatel 5059r last night I was hoping I'd have some luck with the Raven. However I have not! At the moment I've hit a wall working with ADB Shell commands, hoping to push, move, mount/remount, and get a root out of it. As i've exhuasted the extent of my tools so down to the nitty gritty. So the problem I'm having with the ADB Shell end of things is that although I've got the proper commands nailed, I can't seem to mount/remount my system folder into read/write. Thats not a huge surprise considering I have no access beyond user. I have however found several folders and files of interest. I can manipulate the oem folder, but honestly at this point the easiest thing would justbe for me to move SuperSu Binary or MagiskSU.zip from storage or SD to the proper folders. As this is really the first time I've had to resort to such methods, and the literature on the subject is at first glance somewhat lacking; as it always is when things get this specialized.
If anyone has any ideas of how to go about using ADB Shell commands or any other method I haven't tried (all in one tool, platform tools, alcatel flasher, sp flasher, odin, frp hijacker tools ect) Keep in mind this phone at this moment in time doesn't support SD updating thru recovery, fastboot/bootloader/download is locked away somewhere, and yes ADB Sideloading methods as well. I'm willing to try anything and I'll put the time in and exhaust any ideas you guys may have for me!
