Sygic - KIW-L24 - Running from SD CARD - Honor 5X Questions & Answers

KIW-L24 6.0.1 STOCK Rom
Rooted
xposed Frame work & App installed
Rebooted and Installed Sygic
Marshmallow fix Installed.
SD Card write enabled in "Marshmallow fix" app and rebooted.
It says "It is not possible to run sygic from the sd card because of new write restrictions in android"
Using Sygic app & Maps (15.6.6) from Kitkat. It worked beautifully back then.
What am I doing wrong?
Would you like me to try anyother offline navigation that works fine with Honor 5x Marshmallow?
Really appreciate your help!

[Q] AOSP Polish Blood Rom Neo V problems

Well I just flashed aosp rom last night and it is working great and all.Camera is working great unlike other roms, but I have 3 problems that I didnt get in other roms like cm10.
1.Opera Mini is not working. It force closes on that license agreement screen. But the default browser is working.I am much more used to opera so it will be preferable if it gets fixed.
2.I cannot install some apps like where's my water.I dont know why it used to install and work fine
3.I cannot transfer apps to sd card.I have tried using link2sd,app2sd but it was of no use.I tried using titanium backup to move the apps to sd card it says that the app was transferred to sd card but when I go in the app settings menu it is still in internal storage
Still CM10 is under Development.
You have to wait for complete release of rom to work properly.

You can try to see if your navi program is looking at the right folder for the map files.
Use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix
As I wroted i have instaled this fix. The changes are instaled I can Copy and Paste in the any File Menager. But The Navigation Programs Like Sygic, Tom Tom or Automapa don't have acces to the SD Card. Do somebady have another fix ? On Android 4.3 I don't had this problem. When I send the Android 4.3 kernel to the Android 4.4 do it will work ?
Did you tried this post from Sygic?
I don't use Sygic but i installed, download the Map and then i cut the folder "Sygic"from "Home" folder and past in the SDCard then open the app and worked...
Then i uninstall the app and reinstall and showed the Maps...
Went to "Manage Maps and showed the SDCard in the Top Right Corner...

[Q] External SD not writable by apps in NG6

I have root, and a 64gb card installed. Running stock rom, with no other tweaks than removal of bloatware via TitaniumBackup. I tried the SDFix app (worked last time, doesn't now) to no avail. It says I have write capabilities, but when I try to set TitaniumBackup or SuperBeam to write to the external SD, I get the insufficient space error. Has anyone figured this out yet? I tried the xda search function already and it gave me very little to go on, so I decided to post. Thanks to whomever can solve this!
I think I recall using Xposed and some sort of SD fix module to get it working awhile back. Sorry buts been so long since running on stock that I can't remember specifics. This really was a huge fumble on Googles part!
The good news is I heard lollipop has better sdcard support. Think we will get it. The question is will lollipop be root able.
SD kitkat fixer by Jim Rummy in the play store. Worked for me.

5.1.1 FUSEd stock ROM

User @kokos00074 from 4pda has posted a FUSEd stock ROM.
It's based on the September 14 ROM. No root, no Xposed framework.
I will try this after testing Booroondook's latest 5.1.1. Kingo root works on the September ROM and I don't really need Xposed.

what mcu do you have..
I would assume that because m00n61's sig says he is using a 'KLYDE MTCC 10inch for Suzuki Vitara' that this rom is for MTCC? So question is will it work on MTCB and if not then that could be the black screen problem.

On my KLYDE MTCC unit the rom works (volkswagen with a EONON GA6153F)
Did you go back into recovery and did a "whipe all , clear cache" ?
First time it booted i got a black screen too , with only the top statusbar wich was non functional.
I read somwhere if going from normal to FUSE you needed to whipe everything, because the partitions are different.
After a longer then normal boot , everything needed to reinstall, i got to the launch screen. I did not try everything but the radio works , and the car info is nicer then my old one. The rest looked ok too.
Have mtcB kgl 2.83. Did wipe before and after but no go. Might try again.

Don't waste time. It will work only on MTCC.
This is for me the fastest 5.1.1 ROM to date. I guess stock ROM could have been also but I like FUSE
MTCC ONLY!
Here is my setup, step by step:
Part1. ROM install
Because this ROM includes a 5.1.1 recovery, the Rockchip Upgrade disk tool is needed.
1.Created the bootable SD
2. Also copied update.img onto a USB stick
3. Inserted both SD card and USB stick to unit
4. Started the unit
5. When prompted, removed the SD card
6. In the recovery menu, selected option 5: Update from USB and delete all
Part2. ROM cleanup
1. Set up WiFi
2. Installed Kingo root and rooted
3. Uninstalled Kingo root and Super Battery
4. Added Google account
5. Entered Play Store and downloaded Total Commander - it's my favorite file manager
6. Waited for updates to finish
7. Entered Settings->Apps, tab All and disabled all apps that I do not use, including Google Maps, Google App, PinYin IME, Gmail, Email and Exchange client
8. Started Total Commander, clicked Configure and checked the last option - root everywhere
9. Edited build.prop for DPI 160. I have a 10 inch screen and this is a good DPI. Plus, it uses less resources than 240.
10. Deleted all useless apps from /system/app and system/priv-app
11. Replaced MTC bluetooth and MTC Music with apps that can actually scale, from previous versions
12. Installed Quick Reboot from Store.
13. Rebooted
14. Installed Waze and Igo
At this point this ROM works as fast as a 4.4 ROM
Actually, it was so fast I put back Google Maps. GM is moving OK, not fast but not as annoyingly slow as before. I guess the combination GM + Xposed + Google App is way too much for these units. Luckily I have a Parrot BT borad which comes with ists own voice dialing so no real need for Google App.

If you pre-install Xposed and @dsa8310's MCU fooling addon (can remember the name of it offhand) it WILL work on MTCB as well.
By the way it WILL work as is on units running the last 2 or 3 versions of MTCB KLD6 MCUs as these can run MTCC ROMs.

If there is no built-in xposed and exact dsa fooling module, how to preinstall xposed and mod on ROM prior to required Factory reset in recovery needed to rebuild fused partitions?

Doh, soz, I m guilty of not reading the first post correctly and assuming that it was @m00n61 who built the ROM and therefore could also inject Xposed, when actually he just found it on 4pda.ru
But theres no reason why Xposed and root cant added by someone on their pc before its used on a unit.
I left the rom unrooted , is it normal that when i go to settings , apps , i cannot disable the gallery app ?
What is special about the gallery app ?

Its normal behaviour on Android - the gallery app is a system app and can only be removed if youre rooted.

GPS location problem

I bought a Moto e XT1021 with an existing boot problem, sometimes would boot into fastboot mode only, but generally worked OK until failed to switch on Wifi. Factory reset only made it worse so i have now used RootJunky Supertool to flash the stock Kitkat 4.4.4, install TWRP 2.7.1.0 (2.8 would not install) and then SuperSU.
There are a couple of glitches I cannot sort, mainly the GPS function. GPS status shows it is picking up 15 - 20 satellites but cannot obtain a fix. Location services are on, set to maximum accuracy. I noticed that previously when optimising apps on start up there were 136, and now only 40 or so. There was no keyboard until I installed one - could I be missing some system app needed for the GPS fix?
The other problem is that I have installed some mapping apps which have installed folders on the sd card, but when I connect to PC, I cannot see these folders so I cannot download maps from PC to sd card. I can see the folders using File Manager on the phone. I can download map to a folder on internal storage, map app works fine, but then if i move the map using File Manager to the sd card, the map app (Alpine Quest) cannot open it.
Sytem Update reports no updates available. Would it help to flash a newer ROM,if so are any particularly recommended for GPS stability and reliability,as this is an important function for us
Any help much appreciated - I am completely new to this.
