Been searching for a root method for this device because prior Kitkat op became corrupted with a rooted program, the system was updated and the program is locked into the op and can not be removed without root. I have tried many different root methods with no success. Has anyone else successfully rooted this op? T817VVRU2BPE1_PE2?

Hi,
I am looking to root Galaxy Mega, have tried several topics in Galaxy Mega thread and unfortunately none of them worked, and have experienced problems like wi-fi not working, and apps crashing. I tried flashing various files via Odin, then installing SuperSU via ClockworkMod recovery, the app gets installed although doesn't grant me root, SuperSU was saying "The SU binary needs to be updated.", although the updating process failed. I also had green text "set warranty bit: kernel" and two red lines whilst mobile was starting, also after the system booted i was getting a Security notice saying :The device has detected an application attempting to perform actions that are not permitted.
I restored the phone via Kies back to its original condition.
Could you please post a step by step guide on how to root Galaxy Mega 6.3" gt-i9205 (android version 4.2.2).
Thank you very much!

I cannot help you with any guide but I also had a hard time looking for a working method to root my mega, so i decided to flash a custom rom instead.
I have MegaFire installed and it is pre-rooted so no worries on how to root, besides, it's a great rom to try.
(The two red lines are normal for rooted phones since it changes something about the kernel)
Goodluck.
I've tried couple of things.
Used ODIN to install CWM and TWRP tar file, ODIN said it passed but the recovery menu was still the same.
Used towelroot and it said that the device is not supported, have tried the click 3 times welcome to towelroot and changed the codes but same not supported message.
The only thing that i could do is Kingo ROOT but should I? Some people here said that they are malware which i dunno if its true or not. And i did it at first but it said that i should backup stuff before i root it for protection against BRICK.
Tips and tricks somebody?
Again, i'm using Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 (I guess its the International version, i'm not bound by a phone company)
Go read the sticky thread in general forum, or the search box.
Just picked up a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-I545. The Wifi stopped working after a factory reset. Read that the name of a config file may need changed.
Could someone help me with the best instructions for rooting this phone or any other troubleshooting to get the WiFi to work again?

Root with kingroot. Make sure it's kingroot and not kingo root. Kingo root is a mess. You can also root with wonder share so you can use superSU right off the bat instead of kingroot. As for the Wi-Fi , the only thing I can recommend is rooting then installing stang5litre ROM which is touchwiz based due to the locked bootloader. You can use flash fire with any firmware, given it is the right version and I think safe strap recovery with an older firmware.
I want to root my Samsung A025v but it is a USA based Snapdragon Verizon model. I have done the date and time, software update trick a bunch of times but nothing happened. Am I just not getting into it?
U.S. variants always have locked bootloaders. You're not going to be able to root it via conventional means. I think there was a paid service here in XDA but I don't know if this phone is supported.
