I have been facing this problem for quite some time now . I installed the official MIUI 2.1.20 with all the necessary instructions and step performed . The ROM works just fine , but all of a sudden a process named " Download Manager" starts and it boggs down the CPU with 50% usage , the phone heats up then . here is what i already did
*Installed OS monitor
*Formatted the internal/external memory
*Clear data for Download manager
*Installed Siyah Kernal
Now after all of the above steps the download manager process goes away , but after a few hours it come back , and the battery starts to drain very quickly and the pone gets v hot. This problem is also present with the Galnet version of MIUI .
I need some help guys , i love MIUi and want to use it more . I would be very thank full if anyone can point me in the right direction to fix .

My galaxys3 has been updated two weeks ago with ELLC version.
Now, some troubles appear every time an app crash :/ :
1 - the phone freeze during 5min (~)
2 - then, the phone reboot ;(
I develop an android app and my phone is my plateform of test, so, this issue is very annoying.
Anyone knows this problem ?

With light force mod 7.1 is all ok except when I play big games like nova... Touch works very slowly and I'm forced to reboot toggling battery...
How can I resolve this?
Read the rom thread in full .
Wipe phone and reflash rom .
Use another rom .

I recently bought a Snapdragon Redmi (kenzo), it came with a chinese version of MIUI and on the first setup it already started to show some problems: when I try to connect to my google account it suddently rebooted. After some tries and reboots and worked but on day by day usage I continue to have random reboots and apps crashing.
I already updated to other miui versions, CM13, CM14 and some others roms and kernels, flashed with diferent TWRP versions, in all of them I got the same problem.
I think it's also not related to hard usage, because the problem appear when I open what's app, facebook, a lot of times with swiftkey. And I can open some heavy games without problems.
Also, sometimes it reboot and get stuck on a bootloop, when this happen, a backup restore or dirty flash wont solve the bootloop and I always need to go on TWRP, do a factory reset and flash the rom again.
I think the explain it's a hardware defect...
There are any other thing I can try to solve it?

I already tried once with miui, but I can try again with other ROM. Which one do you sugest?
You can only flash MIUI fastboot ROM via MiFlash, not possible to flash other...it must be a hw problem if you encounter that on every ROM...
Try flashing the developer ROM. Or look for similar issues on MiUi forum. Those guys will surely help you out!

any news with that issue?
cause of what i understood , there is a bug hardware isuue with Charging Controller on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 pro ,
and hardware must be repaired....

i thing that would be no option for me,
i bought the device abroad, would be not economic for me to return it.
very strange what happening to my device.
reboots stopped (have no idea of what reason : recharge again from 5% battery, get into test mode (push 3 button for 10 sec': vol+, vol-, power).
but now other issue showed up : very lots of screen glitches, can use the phone like this, like some bad soldering inside.
first time i got into test mode, there were also screen glitches,
but now, whenever i get into test mode, downloading mode or the 3rd mode (with phone and cable picture), there is not glitchs at all,.
but after phone is starting - lots of screen glitches !!

Hi , I’m new here . I have some problems while using this phone , my phone is global , unlocked bootloader.
1. First rom is PE(Plus version, latest build) , everything seem great but have a problem , my mic and speaker does not work while calling (exept in Phone , its work great ) , third apps like Messenger, Instagram or any apps have the Calling Mode , already grant all permissions but not working
2. I’m back to Global Rom then upgrade it’s to EU (latest build - latest upload) , the touchscreen does not work after reboot (still work in twrp) , i tried wipe davik and my touchscreen work again but reboot its happen again.
