Hi all,
Just acquired a original GearFit. Unfortunately it came from Germany and is in German!
I have a HTC M8 and using OpenFit, but it is still in German. I connected to a friend's Samsung Note 4 and it all changed to English, which was great, but when I disconnected Bluetooth, it changed back to German!!
Can I flash a new UK system?
If so which one?
Please help :crying:

Try resetting it, start from clock>settings(the gear icon), scroll to the last page and select the last icon, then select the tick and wait. If that doesn't work, sync it with OpenFit so you can have it synced to you or contact samsung. Worst case senario, flash an English firmware on using Odin, you can find out how to use it by searching for help online. Hope this helps!

Done that - reset it and also linked to OpenFit - which works fine....just the damn German language!
Think as you say to flash a UK Firmware - but which one?

i have an XDA II and it starts with o2 active. if i go to My XDA and select connections, select country is set to Germany (I need to get this to UK and make it stay on UK)
when i change this to UK, device then resets and boots back up. go to check it and it's back to Germany.
Do i need to upgrade the ROM to get this to UK Device ? if so, which rom do i get?
will the special rom from XDA Developers do the trick and update my device ?
what the hell do i do if all goes wrong ?
if someone can advise on these questions, i'll be most happy.
also tried setting up the gprs settings for O2 UK and they will not stay in device or connect. i assume that this is to do with the Germany thing ???!!?

It is a bug, I had this happen several times, when you are presented with the choice screen wait a while before choosing your country, click firmly and it should work ok.

i've managed to change it to Ireland and it stayed like that for a while
thinking of putting the XDA Developers special rom on and flashing the thing !

being that the special rom is made for xda1 and not 2
and if it would somehow let you upgrade your device with a rom for another device it would prob magcialy turn it in to a brick
and forcing it to sleep for 1024 years unless some beautiful frog kiss'd it or something

it just so happens i clicked on the upgrade rom before going on the net and got error unable to locate device !
so i stopped and checked the net and found your message

i also flashed the ROM from the O2UK web site and it still selects Germany
any one got any other ideas? or does it even make a difference ?
I also get a problem with Pocket TV and my Camera after playing MPG files.....

I have a bell i9100m phone however it comes with English/French/Koearn only, how to add another language to the stock ROM (currently it's 4. 0.3) ? or I have flash it to a different ROM ? thanks for your help .
Try "MoreLocale 2" or "Set Locale and Language" from Google Play.

thanks guys/gals for the reply , morelocale2 kind of worked however the translation seems not complete, anyway, I guess this is the only way to add menu language without flashing another ROM .
BTW, is it possible to flash another official ROM for different area to this phone ? I have i9100m from bell Canada, if I'd like flash Samsung SII RoM for hongkong will that cause any issue ?
Idk about i9100m, but if you were on international version, you can flash right away

I just got this Samsung Gear S as a present and its all in Chinese. I tried doing everything but nowehere it lets me go to settings so I can change the language. at power up it shows Sky Telecom logo so probably locked or something. Never used any such device before so no idea! Posting the screenshots. Please help!

That is not Chinese. Gear S is not made in China.
That device should be an international version or Korean Telecom which is SKT, or KT.
That's why the default language is currently Korean.

It should change the language if you pair it to the phone. Otherwise you can maybe flash a different fw through Odin. Just make sure you have the model number right. I changed mine from German to danish this way.

I am hoping for a little help finding the correct file to flash the Gear S with.
I also have a watch which came from Ebay which has turned out to be a SM-R750S (Korean Telecom which is SKT) I would like to put the UK firmware on it.
Currently the firmware is - R750XXU2BOG2 - this is from the watches info
I have tried - 2.2.1.4 R750XXU1BOC1_R750OXA1BOC1_BTU
- 2.2.1.3 R750XXU1BNJA_R750OXA1BNJA_BTU
both result in an error " Sw Rev Check failed fused 2 > binary 1"
This is from the Sammobile site and appears to be what is currently on the phone. R750XXU2BOG2_R750OKA2BOG2_SKC

I would like to know (with a link if possible) which Firmware I can use.
I am assuming this error maybe related to boot loader versions and such ??
I bought Gear fit off ebay and it happens to be international edition. The entire system is in Japanese.
I have a OnePlus one and Nexus 5. When I tried installing Openfit, the geat fit pairs and connects but it is still in Japanese.
I tried updating the software by booting the device into download mode and flashing it with the newest firmware from samsung-updates.com but the system is still in Japanese!
When I try pairing the device to a "Samsung" device then it works just fine, it tends to adopt the language of the phone. But I don't have a Samsung device for me to use.
How can I completely erase the Japanese firmware on it and flash it with a clean US version? Is there a way to install a custom firmware or anything like that?

Couldn't find any solution. The only possible way is to pair it with a Samsung:/

There has to be a way to flash it directly, how else did Samsung get the firmware on? The firmware should be on their opensource release center.

a similar problem with the Chinese language. My native language is russian.
Im in the same boat. Mine is German. link to Samsung uk Note 4 and changes to English.
As soon as I disconnect it goes back to German!

Dear members,
I tried to root my SM-R750 this week and I had a mistake in the process. I couldn't use my Gear S.
But I found a TizenRecovery pack in this forum and, using Downloading mode, I install this pack and my watch rebooted in Spanish, but I'm French.
Using SmartSwitch by Samsung, I brought my firmware in French. I actually use R750XXUBOL2.
In the same time, I rooted my Note4 and installed CM12.1.
However, I installed Samsung Gear to receive notifications on the R750 but the programm informs me that the programm can't run beacause of the operating system, which is not supported.
Do you know an issue to this mistake, to use Note4 with Gear S on CM12.1 ?
