[THEMERS] [DEV] VillainTheme System 0.4.1 - SHARE

VillainROM and PartnersPresentsVillainTheme System 0.4.1
I am not the maker if this... I am just sharing it here...
This Theming System can be used to Modify png's, xml's inside .apk files in recovery. This will be helpful for creating Icon Packs, Theme Packs, etc. I used this in ATOMODS - For Samsung Galaxy Y. I want to share it here because Themers can Create Themes For All Roms in a Single File and Changing Just the Required Files instead of Modifying the whole framework-res.apk or SystemUI.apk.
Features:
- Will modify APKs in a ROM, without changing signatures, and can be used on any ROM where the filenames of themed files is the same.
- Should not need updated between versions of a ROM
- Zipaligns all APKs before installation
- Stores a backup of all files being modified in /cache/vrtheme-backup/
- Requires no coding abilities or editing of files - just drag and drop
- Can copy "raw" files, though at risk of not working on other devices (well, let's face it, it won't work on likely a slightly different ROM, so this feature is not recommended or encouraged)
What You Need To Know :
As a Themer? Well, here is the information:
Inside the zip, in the vrtheme folder, you can create a folder called "system" and "data". The former is required, the latter is not required unless you wanted to theme a data app (strongly not recommended, unless you know the app will be there on every phone)
Inside the system or data folder, create a subfolder "app", and in these, make subfolders named EXACTLY after the APK name. For example, to theme the Browser, you need a folder called "Browser.apk". It must be correctly capitalised.
Within there, place the files you require for your theme, in the relevant locations. So most PNGs will be in res/drawable-hdpi/. You can put in xml files too (those which are not in resources.arsc), if you compile them via apktool, and extract them with a zip tool.
In the vrtheme folder, as well as system and data folder, one called "raw" can exist. Within here, you can place files to be copied verbatim to the ROM (for example, modified JAR files). Note that using this may make the theme device dependent (read WILL make it device dependent)
And that's about it.
As a User:
You don't need to know much - just flash this zip like a regular zip, and you'll get your theme running. But you should be able to apply themes to any device, ROM, and version of the ROM, without it causing adverse effects. That means less time spent by themers making the original theme, and less time spent modifying it constantly for new versions of ROMs.

[MOD] [U][P?][Sola?] Xperia Z JB Framework | AOSP lockscreen music controls fix

This is a port of Xperia Z framework.
All the ported frameworks for Xperia U had one thing missing which I liked, their app background did not change with the theme. So I decided to do my own port where I retained this feature. This framework is compiled by me and has over 2000 images ported from Xperia Z. And the app background also does change now :good:
Features:
1. Complete Xperia Z framework.
2. Fixes AOSP music controls alignment issue.
3. I cannot possibly list all the changes here so why don't you consult the screenshots for some, or better yet try it for the whole experience
See attachments for screenshots
How to install:
1. Download framwork-res.apk from the attachments
2. Copy it to your sdcard
3. Move it to any folder in your system (ANY folder other than system/framework)
4. Change permissions to rw-r-r-
5. Now move the the file to system/framework
6. Immediately reboot your system
7. Enjoy
NOW! Before you proceed any further let me explain something to you. Framework-res.apk is an extremely sensitive file. Do NOT copy the file directly to system/framework without changing permissions first, or it will crash the OS and brick your phone. Copy the file first to any folder in system/ (except framework) (I personally copy files to system/media/ then change permissions and move files elsewhere) Change the permissions to rw-r-r- like:
X-X
X
X
And then move the file to system/framework.
Finally I am not responsible if you brick your device due to not following the instructions properly. If you did everything right and there are any bugs or problems you're most welcome to ask and I will surely help.
Try and post your experiences in the comments.
Credits to ZN6 and Mtakween for their Xperia Z framework port. Check their work out as well :good:
If you like it, don't forget to press thanks :victory:

(Tutorial) How to Mod Dark look on PA 4 Custom Rom

Hi, this is my first tutorial mod for droid razr, i will share how to change black gradient looks on Paranoid Android Rom become to solid black like on Slimkat rom with TRDS mode On xD . Some people maybe use xposed framework and module but i try to mod the framework because i dont use xposed . This mod also affect on other apps which use holo dark background like root explorer, safestrap, calculator etc.
For this Mod you will need
- PA rom ( i currently use PA 4 beta 7 for umts spyder)
- Apk tool/apk multitool/Ricky Kitchen tool etc
- Notepad ++
- Winrar/Winzip
- Patient and brain LOL
1. First you must know how to decompile and compile APK, i am using Ricky Rom Kitchen for doing this but you can another apps too like APK Multitool, APK tool etc
2. Now time to mod, first take your framework-res.apk from rom (its located on system/framework) and decompile it
3. Now open with notepad++ >> framework-res.apk/res/drawable/background_holo_dark.xml
4. You will see this
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<shape
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<gradient android:startColor="#ff000000" android:endColor="#ff272d33"" android:angle="270.0" />
</shape>
5. Change android:endColor="#ff272d33"" with android:endColor="#ff000000" and save them
6. Compile it again but its not finish yet
7. Now on your apktool you will see unsignedframework-res.apk , open it with winzip and delete Meta-inf folder and androidmanifest xml and copy Meta-inf folder and androidmanifest.xml from original framework-res.apk
8. Rename unsignedframework-res.apk become framework-res.apk and copied back to your phone ( i recommend made a backup rom or just flashable zip framework-res.apk just in case if it failed and bootloop )
9. Now with Root Explorer copy your Framework-res.apk to the /system and set permission first RW-R-R and move it to framework folder, if its ask to overwrite answer yes
10. Reboot your phone and enjoy
this is how its look
