Before installing a custom rom you need to install recovery, if you haven't installed any recovery previously. check this link to install recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364509
Here you can find the Custom Rom's for both Locked & Unlocked Boot Loader http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1450
Before trying any Rom check whether it is for Locked/Unlocked Boot Loader. Instruction for flashing that Rom will on that thread itself.
Press Thanks button if i've helped you:good:

Root needy youth committees lg g2 Kit Kat

Hello
Version two Internatioanl 802 Roman Taiwan KitKat.
I want to Root and Recovery, if any, and will be grateful quantum youth.
Are u serous? There are hundred of posts on this subiekt. Do a search for once.
*spoiler* u can't root or install recovery once u are on KitKat.... That's what u get for not searching and reading..
There is a solution that culd work if it's not patched yet. But u have to search for that one.
So that is what it looks like when you convert Taiwanese->English via machine translator.
The only way to get root and recovery on 4.4 is with a custom rom and kernel. If you already installed Kitkat you cannot root and have to go back to 4.2 first. >This rom< has pretty easy and detailed instructions.

Found Rooting Lollipop Guide

Hi guys,
I understand there is no straight forward procedure on how to root 5.0.2 currently and we would have to revert back to 4.4.4 and flash the stock Lollipop.
I guess my question would be is has anyone already tried to use the guide in this link?
I found it posted here in xda somewhere but I can't seem to find it again.
Highly appreciated if you can post your feedback.
Thanks!
I am in need of root since I am hating on how Lollipop sounds in my earphones and would like to use V4A.

You need Minimal ADB and Fastboot program. And you need unlocked bootloader on your phone. All other explanation is on the link you posted. Do a little research, and you will also learn a lot of things. You can't always ask for step by step explanation. I was also new to this, and I learned a lot by reading and doing a research on everything I need. So you can also do the same. This one is really easy. Just don't be lazy to use Google or to do a research.

XT1524 - TWRP + root : thanks for help

Hi,
I bought 2 smartphones Motorola E2 (XT1524) for my childrens.
After first use, I accept update to Marshmallow.
Now, I read all the thread of this forum but I don't understand how install new ROM (Cyanogen 13 or 14).
I think I must first install TWRP, then flash other ROM.
But, how install TWRP if the phone are now under stock Marshmallow ?
Thank you very much for your help (I'm grand father and not young geek ).
And sorry for my bad english...

No problem. I understand your English and I will try and keep this simple and to the point to assist you. Here is a link for @squid2's TWRP recovery. This is the recommended recovery for our Surnias.
You will not need to downgrade to the best of my knowledge. But you will need an unlocked bootloader.
Here is the link to @squid2's TWRP recoveries.

If your bootloader is not unlocked, let me know. I will send you a link for a guide on doing that.
Edit: Here is a link for a very simple and efficient tool for, among other things, unlocking your bootloader.

Many thanks MotoJunkie, I really appreciate your help.
No, the bootloader is not unlocked. Is this always possible to unlock it after update to Marshmallow ?

Yes my friend, to the best of my knowledge, unlocking your bootloader is the same no matter which Android version you have. You should have no problems.
Once you unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP, then I can further assist you on actually rooting your Marshmallow build.
Thanks again ! (also for the link for unlock).
I look this after work and I try it this week-end.
And I come back for say if it's OK
