Lol, what i'm getting from this is that it is an application that if you send a text message to that phone it will bring up the phones settings?
What is the use of that?
It's a banned application via Google Market. Here's a snippet from an article in regards about it. To learn more, Google "SMS Replicator"
Google has removed a controversial Android Market application that enables users to secretly spy on text messages sent via someone else's smartphone. Google initially approved DLP Mobile's Secret SMS Replicator for download via the Android storefront, but removed the application about 18 hours later--the app automatically creates blind carbon copies of incoming text messages and forwards them to a selected number, effectively enabling jealous lovers, uptight parents and diabolical colleagues to secretly download the software to their unwitting victim's smartphone and then keep tabs on their personal communications.

If it was marketed as 'free' on the market then I don't think it'd be classified as warez but after googling. It looks like its available here: http://www.mobihand.com/product.asp?id=122189&n=Secret-SMS-Replicator -- kind of fishy to be wanting to get this app and install it on someone's phone. Wouldn't see why anybody would want this unless they were paranoid. But yeah, I guess it would be considered as warez since its being sold as of right now.
Take care of your wife girlfriend boyfriend etc you won't need this lol

All kidding aside, this is hands-down one of the biggest invasions of privacy ive ever seen in the cell phone world. i mean if youre gonna spy, at least have the balls to try and go through her phone while shes sleeping, even the playing field so she at least has a chance to catch you doing it. this is downright stalker-status
Thread closed. The app is warez and quite frankly a potential risk for people.
I'm looking for an app I can install on my wife's phone that is hidden so that I can see where she is or has been via cell towers or gps. Doesn't need to be real time but I need to know if she has been where I think she has been. She is pretty dumb when it comes to her phone but has never had gps enabled and would probably notice the enabled icon. I'm pretty confident she is cheating on me and just need to know for sure before I confront her. Is there such an app?
I don't need a lot of features. Basically location history. Some place called spectorsoft has something but it is $70. ANy freebies out there?
Thanks!!
Just go to Google maps and sign her up on Latitude. Latitude will tell you where she was and is. Then after that, install Dexrex on her phone and you can see any, and all, texts she sends and receives. The best part is that it's all free. Then you can use Overview (which used to be free) to do similar things. Also, if you want to catch her on your PC, just install a keylogger.
Does she have Android smartphone? If she have, you can find such apps on Market. I needed that type of app before but unfortunately, we haven't got android on all device. Google Latitude is good too.

I don't condone your method.... But, I know where you are coming from.
Tasker is an amazing app. Not any type of tracking system specifically. But you can create a set of profiles and tasks where you could do something like send a txt to her. Something like "I love you." Or "how are you" or something inconspicuous. You can then program it to, upon recieving said message, turn on GPS for 1min, get a lock on her location and txt you back her location and then shut off GPS. You can also make it so if she looks back into her chat log. It won't show that her phone automatically sent that txt with her where a bouts.
I have something similar in case my phone is ever lost/stolen. Except my setup will also lock the phone, flash the leds, the camera flash, and make a loud noise.
Or you could just sit her down and talk about it....she will appreciate you more, because if she finds the apps you install.....theirs nothing worse than denying it was you who installed them (lying to her) when you have no proof she is lying to you. Your situation is nothing that can't be sorted out by talking about it. Have you got concrete evidence she's playing away? If you don't trust her....I'd learn to and quick because lack of trust is a killer for all relationships. Don't snoop around fishing dude....talk to her!

I have teenagers, so I definitely know where your coming from. My solution is an annual subscription (I think $12 per year, no more than $19.99) is "WaveSecure" by McAfee. Which I do admit if I EVER lost my phone, it is a blessing to have! I can go to a certain locked website by McAfee and not only be able to see where my phone is (without the user knowing) but I can lock it and send a alarm with a custom message. I can even pull pics and content from it. And you can't get into it or uninstall it once its set up on phone without a 6 digit password. Its mainly used if you have you phone stolen. It even notifies me if the SIM card is removed!
Latitude also works, but you have to configure her phone, and (like my teenagers) will eventually know how to turn it off.
Damn kids get smart like that.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that one. I think Lookout (free) can do the same. Well, it can give you the location of the device, but it can't take pictures like WaveSecure.

Cerberus from the market. Once installed and configured, can be set to be invisible in the app drawer.
You can also record audio and take pictures remotely with it! Be sure to silence the camera first though!

I would check your local laws before doing this. I believe it is illegal. I believe there was a recent case where a husband did something similar and was held on wiretapping charges. I do believe it was key logging and not cell phone tracking.
But I hope she is not cheating on you. That is crappy to go through.

Theft aware... 7 day trial, hidden, and if she is rooted you can hide the gps icon. Location is sent via hidden sms and you can get calls and texts forwarded to your phone.

If you don't want your wife anymore, post a picture of her here. If she's not too shabby, I'll buy her off you for $5. If she looks like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle, I'll give you $2. Either way, she's better off without you.
...if you do want her, what the hell are you doing thinking this crap, let alone posting it in a public forum? You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.
I suggest you seek some professional help. You have trust issues... which makes you untrustable.
I also hope you don't have kids. You are no role model.

Exactly, I'm sure he would be delighted if someone was doing this to his daughter.
What practical use do you see for S-Voice besides waking up phone & ask for weather?
Let's discuss that here, so we could build our experience of possible use ways of S-Voice for the time when we'll get our hands on the phone
I don't see much practical use except maybe for apple fanboys...
Besides in a car I find voice controls hardly practical and sometimes obnoxious.

It doesn't look very stylish to type silently on your phone while waiting in line at Starbucks. So have a conversation with your phone while you wait in line. The Galaxy S3 is just like an old friend who is ready to strike up a conversation with you. All you have to do is say "Hi Galaxy!"
You can shout obscenity at it while you're pissed off at work. There is a market for anger management apps.
LOL, i thought of real usage suggestions, not laughs

The SGS2 is no fun to talk with because it is just a phone..
But the Galaxy S3 is a different story. She is natural and human. She knows when I sleep. She watches me every moment of the day. She always knows what I want next.
I think it depends what its capable of. Can you ask it to do calculations? can you ask it to create a shopping list? can you ask it to play a certain song? or could you ask it to read out a text message, ask it to call someone.

also really curious of how much it is capable of
The key will be extending it to other apps unlike the POS that is Siri which only works with Apple apps. E.g. Can I use SVoice to send messages or make calls using custom dialed or SMS.
I hope to be a greek version otherwise it is useless for me
I have uninstalled vlingo. Google voice search is handy, when I search for something but don't know how to spell it.
Svoice could be useful while driving in my car to trigger a phone call.

Other then that no use at all. Im from Australia so it probably won't even understand me, I don't care don't want the phone for that may freeze it lol

I'm on the road a lot for work, and listen a LOT of music. Driving and scrolling through tracks can be a bit of a hazard sometimes, so I'm really hoping I can just tell my phone to play a track or album and it does it.
That alone would be a selling point for me.

if there is going to be a gps reminder thingy ill be extremely happy. nothing like pulling into walmart and having your phone remind you to get the toilet paper you have desperately been needing for a couple days. it can be quite the cleansing experience.
i am also wondering if they are going to throw in the sheep reference towards apple users. i know its petty, but if i could get the phone to make fun of some of the tree huggers that hang out in starbucks... i might get a laugh and it would make my purchase of the phone all the more worth it.
If it's extensible enough so other apps can use it them it may be really useful. Google Voice hasn't done this. e.g. 'forward this email to my Tennis group and upload all attachments to Dropbox'. Or 'Play TuneIn channel ABC'. Complex voice commands could really be useful. We know Siri is nothing more than a simple keyword recognition engine so I'm hoping Samsung has done something better.
Agree, until we know what its capabilities are there is no way to make a guess at how useful it might be.
I did do some research but all imessage topics I found were really old.
So I have a couple of questions. Since my phone died last week, I had to resort back to my iphone 4 (I went from iphone to LGOG). So I was wondering if there an app that will allow me to text an iphone/osx user such as imessage does where they can receive on both devices and then respond to either one. Preferably, it would be my end doing all the work (android) and they (iphone/mac) don't have to do anything, but if there is a little work involved that would be okay. They aren't very technical so don't want to confuse them with complex instructions, just magic. I never realized people actually text through their computer, but since I went back to the iphone I've gotten a lot more responses because people are too lazy to go grab their phone if they leave it across the room.
Also, is there an app that will allow group chats on android, again without needing anyone else to install anything. Whenever I receive a group text on my android it would be separate conversations to each person so i would have to respond individually to each person whereas with the iphone it's just one message and sent to everyone and it's all streamlined very nicely.
If I didn't explain anything well enough just let me know and i'll try to better explain. Also I will be rooting and unlocking my phone, and I'm good for paid or free ways of getting things done.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

I know there is competition. But I don't like being tied to iOS as much as I don't like being tied to android or some other OS. I am a believer in that all the OSes should just work together somehow (perhaps with some fairy dust?) and just be amazing like that. I get that won't ever happen, but sadly I have 0 coding abilities. I was really hoping someone would have figured out a way to defeat the imessage authentications or whatever is stopping android from joining in the fun.

Okay thanks, I'll have to look into handcent. I'm surprised it wasn't a native feature. Is it that uncommon to want a group chat to be it's own thread? And yea...I figured texting to a mac would be a long shot, but thinking about it, I figure something like skype or googlechat would work so might just have to go that route.
Yeah I'm sure any IM client would work just fine for what you need, I didn't even think about that one.

Hello,
Long story short, I am pretty sure my child has a serious problem that he is refusing to share for some reason (I'm getting the idea that he's not allowed to). I am afraid he'll enter clinical depression if I couldn't help him. I am pretty sure I will have an idea about what's going on if I could get my hands on his whatsapp chat with a specific contact. Is there any app that can do that? I read StealthGenie can do that but it's very expensive ($110).
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks

If his device is rooted, the database whatsapp stores the texts is in plain text... But that needs you to have his device in your hands anyway so thre must be a more simple solution. Oh, I read the stealthgenie stuf, the phone needs to be rooted anyway to get it to work with whatsapp so it needs to be in your hands. Meaning you should be able to read the whatsapp just by holding the thing.
