[TOOL] Unbricker for Acer Iconia A1-830 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My tablet got bricked and the hassle to get it working again (for me as a newbie that didn't know much about fastboot back then) was a big pain, today, I am not going to let that happen again! I created this "tool" to allow me to easily unbrick my tab, well, I decided to share it with you guys! Please report any kind of bugs!
Link removed, thread moved to my Universal unbricker instead.
Please report any bugs or if it worked in the thread, thanks!

[Q] Hot to... / Instructions

Hi everyone,
can someone tell me where i can find a detailed instruction, how to put onother rom on my Galaxy Tab 10.1v?
I am absolut new to this and i need an instruction how to flash from the beginning (preperation) till the end (finished flashed device).
I find the roms and everything, but nowhere an instruction.
Please help me
Thanks a lot!
chris
Hem...don't you see the stickies ?
However, on advice : use Ubuntu to work things out...
I dont want ubuntu, i want, 3.1 witz touchwiz...
You don't get it : using Ubuntu as an OS allows you to flash the Recovery (needed to flash ROMS) more easily than Windows.
Again : check the stickies ! Unlock your bootloader and get root is all you need.
Okay, got this, but then, when i have the 3.1 files, what then? There is noch instruction, sorry, but i am new to this, everyone startet once for the first time like me. So please be paitent

How to install gApps

Hello everyone,
OK, I made a mistake yesterday when I rooted my new Nook Tablet. The root went well, but for some idiotic reason I chose not to install gApps. Now, I am regretting that choice and would like to install it. The problem is, i'm not sure how to do it?
FYI...I used the Nook&Zergy root method.
Any help would be appreciated!

Go here for directions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354887&highlight=gapps
(FYI, I just searched the entire Nook Tablet forum for "gapps" and it brought back the above thread along with your post. As you may know, the senior members will scold you for not searching before asking questions so try to dig around first.)
I hope this helps.
I was told to come and scold someone in this forum. Who didn't use search before posting a new thread?

[Q] Need help with ubuntu installation..

Hi guys,
Im really new to android and linux, yet i want to install ubuntu on my device.
I got it as a gift and would like to make it a netbook like.
Anyway, as far as i know i have the latest JB bootloader, unlocked, also i have the hairybean rom, and OCed to 1.7Ghz, I also have TWRP recovery...
Now, i saw this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603921k i understood that it installs ubuntu on my device completely, without any need of VNC.
Yet the thread is a bit outdated i guess, from reading a bit i ubderstood that the sound has been fixed, and they had worked on a whole new kernel to fix everything up...
Now, can please somebody guide me, and give me the newest files (kernel and OS)?
Thanks alot and sorry for being such a noob!!
PS any way to install the OS directly on the SSD, and not on an external SD, also, anyway to remove android (if ubuntu is stable enough?)
Come on people, 90 views and no replies?
100 views and no replies?
Can someone atleast put this thread in the Ubuntu installation how-to, so people can refer to this thread and help me?

Dude you seriously need to chill out. Ubuntu is not officially running yet, It is only out on the Nexus devices and their kernels, file systems, boot loaders, etc... are apples to oranges compared to the prime. It is still in heavy development in trying to make it so it actually runs smooth and dual boots android. The developers in the Ubuntu thread have been busting their ass to make it happen and there are multiple developers working together to get to happen. There are still a whole bunch of bugs that need to be worked out. I have been following the thread from day 1 so you can do the same here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603921. By saying you are new to linux/ubuntu then I would sit back for a bit and follow the tread before you brick your tablet. Things seem like they are going very well in the thread so sit back and read 60+ pages of posts to catch up and have a coke and a smile.

[REQUEST] Valid links for root and CWM/TWRP

It was not my intention to spam,
and I hope I have not miss any message that had them, but I can't find any valid link to download the root and recovery zip files. All link are dead.
But I see modding is still alive here, and I have to admit this makes me very happy about that, so, can anyone upload those files? I resurrected this phone after my Nexus completely died, and I would like to mod it, since the stock ROM is not that good.
Thank you, and sorry again for this strange post.
Please explore around here: http://www.xda.mister-freeze.eu/XDA-files/
Most development stuff are kept there for ace2.
Also check out more in ace2nutzer's thread from where I copied that link from.
