hi,
i tried to port cm14 from a very similar device [yu yuphoria] which has same cpu. i ported it for like 10 mins by copying some files from cm14 to cm12.1 but it keeps loading on the boot screen [which im glad that i have got this far] atleast i didnt brick it. So its probably cuz we don't have a 7.0 kernel [but i didnt change boot.img or anything so its still from j5], thats what i think so i need help to figure this out. imma try to flash 6.0.1 kernel and ill keep u updated.
edit: but for now definitely not gonna work since idk how to install 6.0.1 kernel XD
update: im gonna try to make 7.0 kernel so stay tuned (damn tools that made linux things on windows possible download so slow)
nice
good to see this 7 posible in this phone keep up good work guys
All the best.
Sent from my SM-J500H using Tapatalk
i tried to port the kernel but it just boots in odin mode and strangely doesnt show that odin blue background, it just stays on the "samsung galaxy j5" screen and it says odin mode

Hi. If you copy files from a rom to another and this keeps even the base kernel will boot rom this bootloop but because you need to boot boot.img first. You have to work on the kernel boot that is paramount to a successful start, while no aya to pass files that were not enough. I think first you have to enjoy for scales. (CM12.1 Stable / CM13 developing beta) if stable CM13 get is good way to skip to think CM14. Especially it is a process.
Greetings.

TWRP for SM-C900F and SM-C900Y (Indian and Taiwanese Variants)
Special Notes:
1. DON'T FORGET TO ENABLE "OEM UNLOCK" (located in Developers options).
2. KNOX will be tripped once you flashed custom binaries to your phone.
(Your warranty may be voided. However this may not affect you if your country forces Samsung to provide hardware warranty regardless of software status.)
3. Samsung Firmware OTA (aka System Updates) will no longer work once you flashed custom binaries.
(You can flash custom ROMs if you want to keep the OS up-to-date.)
WHAT IS TWRP?
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, and root your device.

Hi,
Great to hear that we got a fully working TWRP recovery for SM-C900F.
If I may suggest, Why don't you work on K2WL's Lineage Rom with his full permission for SM-C900F.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/c9lte/
It would be great. I successfully flashed both the files in the above link @ it works fine. But wifi, data, ril, camera, Sound doesn't work.
It would be great if you work on this. Please try.
Just need a Daily driver Rom..
What say?
:good::laugh:
@deadman96385 welcome in here buddy, ill give a try asap
@Pariki first of all its kinda rude to ask for such a thing, and please check this

K2WL has no desire to work with anyone it seems because he hasn't responded to anyone so Travis and I have been working on it ourselves and have gotten to the same state he was in a matter of days. So it will happen soon don't worry.

You need to wipe your internal memory because Samsung encrypts it with a non-standard method so we can not decrypt it in twrp.

Thank you @mv2007 for this recovery. I have two questions regarding this recovery. Hope you'll clear these issues.
1. We used the format option of earlier recovery specially for fixing the lagginess problem, though that usually took longer time but was effective too. Will this recovery be able to do same like the previous one?
2. "must emmc lags fixed with new format without rm-rf" --does this mean that this recovery will permanently fix the native lagginess problem of rooted core prime devices? Or temporarily? Or anything else?
Update: Though this twrp takes lesser time to format but unfortunately it is unable to fix the lagginess. (tested)
To fix that native lag problem use the old twrp.

afaik, there is only way to fix this lagness is using dreamstar's old twrp, i did successfully recover this old pal by wiping again and again like 20times (one take half an hour). So yeah, its not easy and need to be patient, a lot.
