[Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100] How to unlock bootloader? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Would someone like to point me in the right direction in order to unlock my phone's bootloader.
I don't exactly have the phone yet, but once I get a clear idea on how to unlock this phones bootloader, then I will get it.
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, please move if necessary.
Thanks.

Hi,
I assume you are talking about the Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 international variant.
The bootloader doesn't need to be unlocked, you can root and flash custom recovery and ROM making sure you are running the latest official samsung firmware (4.1.2. jellybean).

The Samsung Galaxy S2 GT i9100 is the exact model. But hey, thanks for your help. Does this phone intentionally come with the bootloader unlocked or something?

[Q] Is there a Bootloader Unlock for 10.1 US WIFI?

I have seen a Bootloader Unlock floating around for the 10.1v, is there such a thing specifically for the 10.1 US WIFI model?
Haven't seen anything on it yet but I've been happy with what I can do so far with a locked bootloader.
Yeah, I have a locked retail as well. I don't think you need an unlocked one unless you're a dev.
Im newbie to GT i was wondering which Tab i have its the US WIFI only i dont know which process to use to root my Tab 10.1 or 10.1v and is there a root method for the US wifi only?

I "had" and unlocked one until the 11MB update the other day so I wanted to ask if anyone had/knew of an valid Bootloader for the US WIFI model. It's an option I wanted to have to put back in place if the update existed.

[Q] Upgrade my galaxy s2 can lock my phone ?

Hello, my question is very basic, but I have no experience with android updates. I have a Galaxy S2 model GT-I9100P (NFC), unlocked because I've used it with other companies, I'm not root, the phone has ICS version 4.0.3. My firmware does not support upgrade via Kies. My questions: if I update the firmware to Jelly Beam or others (Odin?), my phone can be locked (SIM-Locked)?, My phone is factory unlocked?
no, it will remain unlocked.
WARNING!!! successfully locked my factory unlocked phone after upgrading it to 4.1.2

I upgraded my phone with the official jellybean firmware released for Spain and my factory unlocked phone is now Sim locked!!!
So im not sure if you should continue with it. And i haven't been able to find any help with about the "Sim network unlock pin" either. The only info i've read is about apps that I'll have to buy that will unlock the phone provided it's rooted!!
Someone with good experience can explain this?
Help please !!!

Don't panic, upgrading to Official (or even Leaked) JB 4.1.2 leads your phone to lock again
There was an app here named GalaxSim unlock that solved the problem for me (and many people), it was free but I think the author removed it because it is available on the playstore now and can unlock your phone for around 2$
Look for it in the playstore, you can download a free version that checks your device and tells you if it is unlockable, if yes, you have an in-app option that will unlock your device for the above price
Take a look and I hope this helps
PS: It needs a rooted phone, so you'll have to flash an appropriate kernel (If you are on JB, try Phil's Kernel, it is available here on xda)
EDIT:
I was wrong, you can download it from this thread (On the first post)

[Q] Can I unlock a NET 10 Galaxy SII for use with another carrier?

I am wondering if a net 10 Samsung Galaxy SII (sgh-s959g) can be unlocked for use with another carrier (t-mobile specifically)?
Would it have to be flashed with new software first?
Has anyone here done anything like this?
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
If it's not in here, then I guess you'd have to try galaxysim unlock.
You need to be rooted, of course.

Just a Quick question

Just wanna know, I have a Galaxy S3 SC-03E Docomo Version unlocked, if I do the official KK update will I lose my unlock? Thanks in advance.
I bought the phone used and is already unlocked, Kitkat official update pops up. Will I lose my unlock if I update? Thanks!
there's no official Kitkat update form Samsung for S3 but you can download a custom Rom from this fourm and your phone will still unlocked

[Q] Unlock a bootloader on Verizon Wireless 4.4

Hi,
I am new to XDA Developers but I know when your problem can't be solved go Here!
Okay, I messed up big time Im rooted {TOWELROOT} on 4.4.2, And i Flashed TWRP, without unlocking a bootloader, My phone said that it could not boot and gave me that please visit a store for help, I found out i need a unlocked bootloader, Somehow i booted my phone (In Android), But My locked bootloader is still out There, Please help!
YES this is a American S3 SCH-I535
Now its hard brick
You need to report your post and get it moved to the verizon s3 forum. This is the i9300 international version. Anything you flash from here will brick your phone plus the i9300 does not have a locked bootloader.
