As seen in the screenshot, how to stop these wakelocks. Its the main battery drainer.
Rom: RR 5.7.4
kernel: Radon 2.8
Can be many different reasons for Google services draining the battery. I had one recently on nexus 5 and it turned out to be google play store causing the problem, even though the severe battery drain was being registered by Google play services. So if you want to rule that out try force stopping Google play store and see if the wakelocks go in services.

im currently running 3.2.25 of google play services and its killing my battery....like i said 43% over screen...im running play store 4.3.11
any recommendations of what i should roll back to for both? for services is there a separate apk or is it same as play store?
Your problem may very well be your location settings. Make sure Wi-Fi and mobile network location is unchecked.

Turning that off does indeed fix the usage issue but still it shouldn't do that even when its on. Hope a fix comes soon.
When ever it does that to me I do a reboot and it always fixes it for me. If the phone feels hot or I've lost 10% quickly I check Battery and it tells me google services is using most of it. Then i reboot and i check it later and it's back to normal. Although it only happens once or twice a month.

I had that with Google Services eating 37% of the battery - higher than the screen, which is normally the big battery eater.
Fixed by turning off Google Now (open the Google App, settings, Google Now "off").
Maybe that'll help you as well.

The new Google Play Services 5.x keeps our device awake which results in battery drain.
Install Autorun Manager from Google Play Store and deactivate all SystemUpdateService$Receivers in Google Play Services.
Haven't DeepSleep problems for a week now. Read somewhere else that Google Play Services checks permanently for current Android version in Custom Roms.

A new CM version from johnnysylt should fix this problem
Before I deactivate all SystemUpdateService$Receivers in Google Play Services, may I know if it can be reversed?

Yes
Thank you Bender80.
This can also be done in Rom Toolbox- JRummy app, in Auto Start manager. Long press on Google Play Services, hit Advanced, and knock off those permissions.
Thanks for the heads up
Are there any other permissions you would suggest stopping?

New CM build contains a fix for that problem. I think it works. Other user mentioned in CM thread that battery drain is gone caused by Play Services. Don't know if it's fixed in other Custom Roms.
I usually don't revoke any permissions. Sometimes they have too many affects on other apps. Afterwards you can't remember what you have changed, if something doesn't work as normal. But this battery drain was a pain in the ***.

In combating the wakelocks with Google Play and keeping my phone asleep by forcing hibernation, I've been playing with hibernating Google Play Services and Google Services Framework as well as Play store. One of them being hibernated caused the play store to show no connection.
Anyone have a specific route to preventing Google related wakelocks using Greenify without breaking the store?
I've seen people been able to shut the Google Services framework real good but never did they ever post a link to a thread or trick or anything. Unfortunately the method they used does not involve with Greenify. I personally also want to know such thing too! Since I don't know how, maybe the things you can do right now is to only hibernate the store. Or try to limit the services framework activity by denying several permissions in AppOps

DispatchingService

Doing that + greenifying Google Play services should solve your problem (at least it did for me). I haven't noticed any problems with my apps either, although I don't really use any of the Google ones except for the Play Store.

Try taking away all of Google Play services' permissions in app ops. Also, in disable service disable:
All of Google Backup Transports
All of Google Calendar Sync
All of Google Contacts Sync
All of Google Play Movies
Google Play Store - Content Sync Service (if this kills the play store then reenable it)
If that doesn't work then try uninstalling Play Services and reinstalling an older version without wi-fi on. After that, disable the services related to updating it.
I got a blackberry priv running android 6.0.1 My phone is being drained by Google play services.
I uninstalled and updated Google play services but it's still doing the same drain.
Keep awake is at 25 minutes.
Not sure what to do. This phone cannot be rooted....

Did you try display settings?
Multiple things to try if you can and have time :
- factory reset
- root phone then install custom rom then install opengapps and see if it's better
OpenGapps always have latests google apps it should be a nice thing to test so
Same here... i do not own a blackberry but latest oneplus 5. google play service goes to nearly 30 % in GSAM monitor. I have searched in web and someone says that google updates play service in the background in the last days. and many, many users are talking about massive battery drain because of google play service.
What can i do?

Root your phone and install xposed framework.
Now install Amplify, it is a xposed module, and change wake lock frequency of Google play service.

Try using Power Nap and Greenify xposed modules
I installed magisk Module doze for Play Service. Seems that this ist working fine so far.
I also have a Priv, my battery barely lasts 3-4 hours, phone hot, looking at battery stats, its awake 100% of the time by Android OS and Google Play Services.
