Hi, I have a problem with my X, there is an inusual battery use by the "Android OS" app listed
on the battery use screen, about the 30% of the total.
Using "CPU Spy" I see that there is no deep sleep.
I tried to flash the last original firmware with "Xperia Companion" and then did a factory reset
to start really clean, but nothing appears to change.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!!!

Hello, I have installed the app CPU SPY to monitor the Deep Sleep of my tab. I have left it alone for about 2 and a half hours but only 4 minutes is gone to Deep Sleep.
I have WIFI OFF, Flight Mode ON.
How can I check these things ?

There exists an app that you can download which will show you what is keeping your device awake, and as a result, running at 216mhz. The app and a lot of documentation about it can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
There is also a separate app which puts all but one of your CPU cores to sleep when the device is not in use. I've installed it on both my phone and tablet and it works great.

Thank you for your reply.
I have installed the BetterBatteryStats, please let me know where should I focus mostly to find what is causing this. Thank you.
I notice if I go into settings, sound, system- and turn off the touch sounds, the screen lock sounds, and vibrate on screen tap that the tablet goes right into deep sleep. It helps the battery a lot but it's still a bit worse than CM9 roms.

Hello geeks,
I prostrate before ur dedication of sharing knowledge , am not hardccore android geek, am just a server admin..recently i bought HTC One x Plus..and its battery drains faster...please point me in right directin how to fix it , do u guys know any custom rom to increase battery life , and i havent root my phone yet..thanks in advance
First of all, if you have any software running in the background, no matter what ROM you use, the battery life will always be poor.
Let's go with this steps.
1. Restart your phone.
2. Download from google play Wakelock Detector.
3. (optionally) an app which shows you CPU usage like System Monitor.
4. Run Wakelock detector. At the top of it, there is a green/red bar. Red means there is something in the background running and eats your battery.
5. Turn off the screen for an hour (don't use your phone) and check Wakelock. Is the whole bar red? How much active percent do you have?

hello everyone,
I used to have great battery life on M4 aqua dual 16GB version E2333 with stamina mode on
it only dropped 1% per hour in idle mode, now it will fall a whole 4-5% in idle mode
the device is only 2 weeks old
the most recent changes I did were installing :
colornote
evernote
google keep
swiftkey beta
and I think I may have logged in facebook app but not sure if this was prior to battery fast drain or not
I checked power management in settings and it is not pointing any fingers toward any battery hogger application
I just need help on how to troubleshoot this and I swear that i will immediately make a full system backup
if it goes back to tiptop shape
I'm using stock android Build 26.1.B.2.147 not rooted
Solved

it doesnt seem to be consistent sometimes the battery will be minimal sometimes not i think it depends on what running in the background however the batery life is acceptable
I sleep 8-9 hours and my battery goes -4%. You should enable more STAMINA features and disable exceptions. You should delete Facebook app since you don't use it. If it doesn't help, considering your phone is not brand new, change your device's battery and don't let it go under 20%.
Hello!
I am trying to find out a way to get more battery statistics from my smartwatch. I
Use the battery graphs from Android Wear, and I also installed Wear Battery Stats (donated version). But still not satisfied with the results..
1. Why is "watch idle" consuming so much battery?
2. Need to find out for each app
Did someone side loaded some apps like GSAM or Better Battery Stats or WakeLock Detector?
UPDATE 18.11.2016
I successfully installed some battery apps through ADB with
Code:
adb -e install my.apk
INstalled GSAM Battery Monitor, Better Battery Stats and WakeLock Detector Lite. The last one crashed on startup.
GSAM has a permanent ongoing notifications that cannot be disabled because you cannot reach the settings
Also changed the DPI to 240 with
Code:
adb shell wm density 240
(Went lower to 160, but things were too small. ALso the settings are kept after reboot)
Added some screenshots from my watch.
Now we how to see who is using my battery...
Some more info... I left the programs installed 2 days and I found that "Android Wear" is consuming the most power, and after the screen. But the watch is still sleeping.. For me it's ok....
So, for anyone that wants to use the method described up, go ahead... it might help you a lot...
Hi. I recently got this phone and I am having some issues. I'm on latest Global Dev (6.11.3 Beta). Battery life is good (around 8 h of SOT), although I think it's consuming too much when screen is off (went to sleep with 20% and battery was dead when I woke up).
I was trying to install BetterBatteryStats (from XDA) and it's not working. After installing I get a white blank screen for around 15 seconds and then a toast message (Fallback to "Since boot") and the "Computing..." message with the interface grayed out in the background. But it doesn't do anything else.
I tried giving BBS all permissions possible in case that was the problem, but no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Make sure you turn off wi-fi or mobile data whatever. You can also set automatic battery saver from security/battery/battery saver

Thanks. I know I can do those things. But why am I having this problem with Better Battery Stats? Is it working for you? Can you try if not? Link here.
Did a clean reflash. It's working now.
