Yes, it works. Arm, SDK23 variant.
With twrp-3.0.2-2_blu_spark.v41-onyx_by-engstk and Oxygen_OS3_v2.78_supersu is not working...
Is your problem solved or not ?

First, did you gave access to storage permission to that app?
Then desactivate and reactivate root option in ES F.Expl.
After that, in superSu, it's OK for root access?
in superSU i can't grant or deny access to apps when the pop up appears, i think its something about overlay but cant figure out what

Are you using f.lux, Twilight or any other screen dimming/blue light filtering app?
Deactivate it and try the acess/deny thing again
Installation failed showing, any other super su for Oxygen 3.1.3
Regular TWRP and SuperSU zip
1. So does anyone know why modified versions of TWRP and SuperSU zip need to be used?
2. When can we expect to grab the respective files from their original websites to get busy? I imagine the problem is only with TWRP and not SuperSU? I want to use the pre-CCMT SuperSU.
Thanks!

no, i'm not using any of the kind of apps.
today i have found that i can't grant permission to access folders to G+ because of this screen overlay issue, i had to go to apps and find G+ and manually grant permissions to files
Strange.. In my case I only get this screen overlay issue when I have smth like Twilight enabled..

I believe at some point an official twrp will be launched, that will support OOS 3.1.3. We just have to wait.

Hello. I have three devices:
Motorola defy
Nexus 10
Nexus 5
All can't install superuser, but superSU all work perfectly. The problem is everytime I tried installing superuser it says binaries not updated. I reinstall it again and again even by flashing its zip it's still the same thing.
Is that because my custom recovery is TWRP not CWM?
The reason I'd like to switch to superuser from SuperSU is that I think root program really needs to be open source.
Open supersu and below click on switch to another super user app and open superuser and update the binaries

That's what I've done many times. It doesn't update the binaries even if I flash the zip 10 times.
Try this manual method
First use any root explorer
delete- /system /app/superSU.or superruser app
delete- /system/bin/su and /system/xbin/su
Go in recovery, wipe caches and flash root.
I have the same problem, can´t switch from supersu to superuser.
When you say 'flash root', could you send me a link, in which superuser is included, and not supersu?
I can only find some with supersu
try this link, a little dated, but might get you there...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742522
Until the latest release of Microsofts Intune Company Portal (5.0.3503.0) for android exposed module rootcloak has worked to hide that the phone is root'ed but since a week back or something like that the company portal is detecting that my CM13 phone is rooted, so I'm looked out from syncing mails.
Anyone here having the same issue and have a solution for this?

Try to find the apk on apkmirror or apkpure and install it manually if you find a significantly earlier version uninstallb the version on your device and install the old apk

i found several older versions that do install but they obviously have an inbuilt check for that so they dont work and just tell me i have to upgrade. as a result it seems its currently not possible to use microsoft company tools on a rooted phone. An unrooted phone is more or less useless.

The info in the SuperSU app says 2.79 and I installed it systemless on my elephone P9000 stock rom. Also have xposed framework running. I tried a lot of tools but none works.
It does not seem to use safenet check, because I can pass the safenet check by using magisk, but still fails on app's compliance check, saying my phone is rooted.
Damn!
You could always turn off root in developer options and reboot then sync emaills then turn back on root in developer options
Hi,
I'm facing the same issue on my S7 Edge with a Superman Rom on Nougat. I have Magisk 12, Safetynet check Ok but Company Portal still detects root. May be it's because the app is registered as a Device Administrator. I guess with these permissions it can check root differently.
I found an Xposed module for that specific issue but Xposed on Nougat is still unavailable
Do you only have magisk super user installed or do you also have SuperSU installed if you have SuperSU installed remove it
I have just Magisk Super User installed. I never installed SuperSU. The Xposed module that I was talking about is "Security Bypass for Company Portal".
I think we need a Magisk Module doing the same thing if possible.
I recently installed outlook and had the same problem running MagiskSU. Safetynet passes, and Magisk hide was enabled, but no luck. I used Tasker to get around the root check with the with the following tasks:
Launch App (Outlook)
Run Shell command:
su
chmod 0754 /data/magisk
sleep 25
chmod 0755 /data/magisk
This launches the outlook app and changes the permissions of the magisk folder for 25 seconds so that when it does the root check after I input my pin everything checks out. After 25 seconds it restores the permissions to what they were. I exported this as an app (long hold on task, click menu in upper right and export as app) and it seems to work like a charm.
I've tried your solution, but it doesn't work for me. I still have the same message showing up ?

It's still one of the strongest root detection apps I know, was there once an xposed framework app that allowed a rooted device to access Portal?

Yes I did.
I'm new to the whole magisk thing. Do I need to reflash the stock image? I only installed twrp and rooted as in the instructions thread. Or can I just follow the magisk procedure on top of super su?

I haven't used magisk on my s3 but have on my nexus devices which are much easier to work with than samsung devices. On my nexus I uninstalled supersu through the app. Then I flashed the magisk.zip in twrp. I'd try it on the tab but I'm not in a place where I can rebuild the system if it doesn't work. If you're willing to give it a go, backup with twrp on a sdcard or copy the backup off your device before trying it. If it doesn't work you'll have to rebuild your system with the stock firmware with odin.

PS, after flashing magisk in twrp, and before rebooting, flash ashyx's no-verity-no-encrypt boot image patcher.

Curiosity got the better of me. It doesn't work. I'm going to flash the stock firmware and try another way. But, it looks like any way you do it you'll end up wiping your device.

Try renaming or deleting liboemcrypto.so . Should be in system/lib or system/vendor/lib I forget which... Usually I remove it for all my rooted devices or Netflix won't load for me.

Great!!! You make my day!!
So I got magisk installed successfully - playprotect check works fine, but it still didn't work.
I did some more searching and there is a Netflix enabler module for this purpose:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-netflix-enabler-enable-netflix-t3708126
Finally Netflix works!
As above, got Magisk 14.5 and Magisk Manager 5.4.3 installed ok with "Hide Magisk from various detections" selected. No specific apps selected at all under Magisk Hide. The setup passes Safety Net check.Netflix is available on Play Store and installs. Then renamed liboemcrypto. so and for the first time Netflix works. This is on a Galaxy Tab S3. This little mod would appear to have fixed it for me. Thank you to the posters above.

Im running stock and about to do the same. Did you notice a big performance difference?
Hi,
i have problems to get Magisk respectively Magisk Manager to work proberly.
Everytime i open Magisk Manager the changes notification appear and althought i disable supersu notification popup it appears everytime a app request root.
The settings i changed doesnt stick
I tried older Magisk and Manager version, reinstalled, cleared cache but nothing works.
This all was done on LOS14.1 and i also tried Omnirom 8.1 but there is exact same problem.
I trtied to get help with this in Magisk section (here, here, here) but it seems noone can help me with this.
This must be a Redmi Note 4 (mido) specific problem as with all my other devices there are no problems at all.
Hopefully someone have an idea whats the problem here.

I'm unable to understand what exactly do you mean?
Are you unable to use root? What rom do you use? Do you have super su previously installed, and did you flash magisk over it?
ok i will try to explain a little better
Magisk is working so far and apps are getting root.
But as far as i start Magisk Manager the "changes" notification appears every time (which should only displayed once after new install or update of Magisk Manager)
Also when i disable the supersu notification popup inside Magisk Manager it wont stick. Every time i open an app the popum informs that root is granted.
The only solution i have so far is to hide Magisk Manager with the option inside the Magisk Manager settings.
Its hard to describe and i hope its now understandable
Here posted some logs !

But i tried older verions of Magisk and Manager but it doesnt help at all.
Also i reinstalled ROMs (LOS and Omni) tried different recoveries..... no go.

I hope someone see an error in the logs.

W/SharedPreferencesImpl( 9451): java.io.FileNotFoundException: /data/user/0/com.topjohnwu.magisk/shared_prefs/com.topjohnwu.magisk_preferences.xml (Permission denied)

These lines doesnt appear in the logs of my working devices but I compared the permission of that folder with one of my working devices but it looks OK.

Your flash queue is right, but possibly you should try flashing magisk after one boot. (Just flash rom and gapps, reboot , set up device, and then boot to recovery and flash magisk)
then the Redmi Note 4 must be something special
With my other devices i made it exactly the same and there are no problems at all.
Maybe next time i flash new/update ROM i will try it ....
