any ways to get heads-up notifications showing directions with Maps as it does with Lollipop and Marshmallow?
It's very useful on Android car systems to get directions over any apps, like this:
I've been trying Heads-up Notifications but it shown only traffic alerts, no driving directions.

Hello,
I've updated my WhatsApp last night to v2.11.476 and it starts showing heads up notifications that, no matter what i try, unable to turn off. This only happens to individual chats though. Group chats still behave like before, i.e. icon just show up in the notification bar.
I also cant disable the vibrations no matter which settings i use. This is driving me nuts. Is there a way i can tun the heads up notifications off ONLY for specific apps? I suppose once I'm able to do this the problem with the vibrations will go off too.

With HeadsOff lollipop heads-up notifications can now be disabled!
No root needed.
You can also restore the ticker text in the statusbar!

Hey guys. Is there a way to completely disable heads-up notification that pops up on android lolllipop?
I know some apps can disable it (whatsapp plus could =[ ... )
Some custom ROMS, such as Resurrection Remix implemented a swich to completely disable the popups and show notifications just like android 4.4.4 and below.
Is there a way to disable them? Could be with root.

I hate it! it shows on games, and even on CAMERA!
(i know about "priority mode", but it is not the same,.... i want to still get notified, without loosing part of the screen)

is it possible to make the notification system on lollipop work like they do on kit kat? i hate having the lock screen littered with notifications. i would much rather have them on the notification bar and pull it down like before. if you turn off notifications then you get none and if you turn on sensitive info you still get all these boxes they just don't have any info on them (even more useless).
any help would be appreciated.

I could really use some help troubleshooting this sorta misbehaviour on my Nexus 5 (5.1.1 stock/no root etc) with WhatsApp 2.12.176 (latests Play Store release to date).
So I get no heads up notifications from WhatsApp at all and at all lollipop notification states(none/priority/all).
In my system settings priority interruptions are reminders and alerts, calls/messages from starred/priority contacts.
Btw in WhatsApp popups are set to screen off only but I already tried all available settings inside WhatsApp.
But heads up does work with e.g. Snapchat which I manually marked as priority app.
What I want: I want heads up notifications or better I want headsup notifications for my priority contacts!
I factory reset my phone after upgrading to 5.1.1 so now old crap still laying around.
I realized that push notifications e.g. from Discord disappear from the lockscreen and menu bar on Android 8 when read on another device (mobile) where I'm logged in with the same account due to synchronizing. The same applies to some notifications from YouTube when notifying of a livestream. As soon as it's over, the notification disappears.
Is there a way to prevent apps from auto-closing push notifications themselves without me actually swiping them? Is there an app or launcher that has this feature?
