When alarm clock plays I can not turn on the screen. Nothing works. Only if taking out the battery has an effect (thank God ) I had it now for two days in a row and did not have before. I also did not flash anything new in the last two weeks. Am using stock alarm clock and have 2.3.4 running.
What is the problem and solution?
I found the problem. It was the app Green Power locking the screen.
I just changed from an earlier debloated version of the stock verizon ROM to power washed w/ the stock updated ED05 kernel. Since then I noticed that attempts to disable the keyguard (puzzle lock screen) are ignored. I had both a tasker task to turn on the screen and unlock automatically when plugged in, as well as a switchpro widget that turns off the keyguard, and neither of them are functional anymore.
Any help?
Thanks.

Update: Also, the quick reply functionality of chomp no longer works. It seems nothing can unlock my screen now?
Whenever I wake up my s3 from deep sleep mode, my minimalistic text clock hasn't updated since I last turned of the screen. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it?
Check if any task killers have the app checked. Beautiful widgets did this when my Samsung task manager ran.

I have the same problem on my Galaxy S. Please email the developer. I have sent him several emails, but he hasn't been too responsive, maybe another email from you will help.
Minimalistic Text widgets do not and should not update while the screen is off. If you can't see the widgets why should they continue to be updated besides if they did continually update that would cause wakelocks draining your battery while the screen is off. If you're talking about the delay in your widgets being updated when you turn your screen on that probably has less to do with the app itself and more to do with your system being bogged down by other things. Do you have a lot of screens filled with a lot of different widgets all updating as you turn on the screen? It could also be as slayer621 suggested that the app is being killed while the screen is off so that it has to restart when you turn your screen back on.

I am talking about when I turn on the screen and the clock is delayed, otherwise that wouldn't make sense, lol. Anyway, I've tried having it so it was the only widget in an empty homescreen and it still didn't work. How do I prevent the task manager to prevent it from killing it?
I tried another clock widget, minimal clock widget, it too had delay whenever I turned on the screen. Specifically, it still had the same time on the last time I turned the screen off and updated itself 1sec after I turned it on.
Please email the developer about this problem. I have tried other clock widgets: some have no delay, some have a slight delay, but nothing as long as Minimalistic Text Clock.
Hello,
my phone suddenly stopped showing proper notification icons overnight - it shows just the one indicating "more notifications". Doesn't matter how many notifications are actually on.
Reboot didn't help.
Any ideas how to fix this?
I'm running rooted stock ROM XXALEF.
Pull down your notification bar and turn Notifications on.

Thanks!
Jeez, I can root my phone without issues but fail to notice the notification toggle, something's wrong with me...
Moto C with stock firmware.
Current status: rooted phone. Yet, the problem has occurred before and after rooting.
The clock and alarm app randomly gets stuck, which provokes that the alarm does not trigger. I attach a screenshot where you can see that the widget has the right time, but the status bar clock doesn't.
Sometimes, rebooting fixes the issue for some time (it could be a day or a week). If the time display option, from 12 to 24 hrs., is toggled the clock in the status bar is fixed; alas sometimes it just gets stuck again.
Does anybody have this problem too? Is there any known fix?
Thank you in advance.
