I am currently in CM 12.1 ROM Lollipop, and I am getting PIE errors in using a app. "Error: only position independent executables are supported". So, I would like to disable PIE from my system. I tried disabling DBPie app but it didn't worked. I did some research and found that, it's somewhere inside system/bin/linker.
So now I want to replace linker file with PIE disabled linker file. Is it possible? If yes than please provide me linker file with PIE disabled else suggest some different method. My phone is Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102).
WiFi direct has a shell tool for doing configuration changes called "p2p_cli". I can't find a newer version compiled to run on Android 5.0 with the new PIE security requirement.

I am facing an issue of compatibility, is there a way to instal and run Nougat only compatible apk on a Pie ?
Phone is redmi note 8, but it's irrelevent because it needs to be instaled on many different ends

An app developer defines for each app the versions of Android between Minimum SDK Version and Target SDK Version it is compatible with. If Target SDK Version is set to 25 ( Nougat ) then app wont work on Android Pie ( Target SDK Version = 28 ).
