I have a sony xperia m4 aqua dual 16go version model : E2333 build number : 26.1.B.1.121
Customization version : 1297-2613_R3A current android version : 5.0
I didn't receive the update for android marshmallow yet i did already check in settings>about phone>software updates and I did connect my phone to pc using xperia companion but always nothing , please can you tell me what i can do ?

Connect your device to pc and check updates from pc companion..
Bro you can update to 6.0.1 after performing a software repair with Sony copmanion

Just connect your mobile with pc companion and u will get it
I'd stay with 5.0.
I had 6.01, but downgraded to 5.0. (The phone came with 5.0) Has snappier performance and better battery life when using stamina mode. And it roots easy using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/development/bl-locked-twrp-touch-recovery-bl-locked-t3257430

i have a couple of questions regarding updating the tablet to the latest FW + root
can i just update the tablet via sony's update in PC companion and then flash again to get root, would this brick the tablet ?
where would my stock FW file be kept for me to download ?
do i even need to un-root then update then reflash ?
any help is much appreciated !

Your best option is to closely read and implement the update procedures described in THIS THREAD.

Im new here and i tried to find out how to root my m4 aqua 2303 because i need to put some apps on the SD card which are too big for my decive.
But as far as i know apps can only be started right off the device, only by root from the SD card.
My Android vers. is 5.0
build number is 26.1.A.2.167
E2303 m4 aqua
my question is, is there a root for my current build?
is it possible to downgrade my build ?
Where can i find the old firmwares if so and what is the best method do root if possible on my current build number? (i found a good one for an older build )

Just confirming, Poeple who got the Android M on E2333 ( M4 Aqua Dual ), Did You get it directly OTA or through Companion App ?
I'm in Egypt, and still didn't get directly OTA, and didn't try Companion app as using Linux and have no Windows or Mac.
