After many tries here is it, my first beta for Android Eclair 2.1 for the Nike.
Work is still in progress and maybe out there there is someone who would like to help me in this project of porting a working version of android 2.1 to the nike.

####Install Instructions####
- Copy the andboot folder to the root of your SD
- Run Haret
- When haret is running hold the dpad middle button to enter the installation menu
- In the installation menu choose where to install (i use data and system on sd card partitions, its faster)
- Press Install System
- After the system is installed press quit and wait
The first boot is a little bit slow, there is no bootanimation in this built so dont worry if the screen turns black, just wait few minutes, after the first boot i recommend to reboot to speed up things.

Android uses your storage card. To go back to wimo you have restart you device.
When you want to update android: Download the files and over write the existing files.
Once installed Android, I can enter to Android, and Restart my device, I can go to my Windows mobile , So I want to Android again, How can I do? Need to install Andriod again????

Do you use the zimage in my package? Try using another zimage, maybe the latest on the vogue project page works.
For the data connection i found that ppp is not invoked because i get an error that says that only root can run /bin/pppd, so maybe the data connection does not work becase pppd is not invoked, i will make some tries to check that.

Very good, i am working on the data problem, first of all pppd had permission problems so i fixed that, pppd is now called but it fail when it tries to create a pid file becase it says that the filesystems is read only... do you have icq or msn so we can se what we can do next?

i think this time is different: the installing procedure tells that the process is going to overwrite the rom..
the old android version used the storage card like a guest..not this one..

Dont choose to install it on the nand, choose sdcard partition or image files... Android will be installed on the sdcard and winmo remains on the nand.
You did a great job man, got it running on my HTC Nike, and it performs better than other android ports ( looking to speed and connectivity ). The only downsides at the moment, is that i can't activate XT9 dictionary while writing a message, and the camera functionality ( every port had this for as far I know, so can't blaim you ).
So my question to you is, do you know any way to enable (Dutch) XT9 on this rom? I got the device running on Dutch language now, but in the dictionary-settings, there are no known words, whatsoever. Since I don't know if there is any way to browse my storage card ( didn't see any explorer or anything ), i can't install it like a cab or anything.
Would be cool if i could get it running, would make it a wonderfull android port

Ok guys, big step foward, i am connected succesfully to the internet, but dns does not work, this means:
- If i open the browser and type www.google.com no page is displayed
- If i open the browser and type the ip-adress of www.googl.com, the page is displayed
so there is just a little dns problem, maybe tomorrow i am able to solve it, even the 3g icon on the top is not displayed...
why am I not able to install the os?
after the choice "install" the procedure starts formatting..
then, and after a lot, a message tells
"can't umount /data: invalid arguments" and goes back to initial choice list..
After installation process when you are back in the list choose fix permissions,then back In the list choose quit than wait...after a few minutes Android. Should start

I own a toshiba ac100-10d which is the model with only wifi (no 3g) and android 2.1, which unfortunately comes with no android market preinstalled. I tried to install one using one of the many packages which you can found online. The problem comes, when I try to login in my gmail account. It says "can't extablish a reliable data connection" and it doesn't login into the account. If I try to login via youtube it creates the account but it doesn't sync it. I have moderate experience with android so you can easily tell me what I have to do. Do you think it would be possible to install the market on this ac100?

It would be possible if I can get him into recovery menu. Just working on it as if it could still do that I have uploaded some files to the inside. Root can be done by z4Root 1.3.0.apk. Can be downloaded here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=834428
I've made some headway
I have installed some files from cyanogenmods tegra compiled gapps + a newer vending.apk(Market) and a diffrent Google Talk app.
I had the same problem you have, but this suddently resolved itself for reasons unknown

Google Maps works
Market starts and is stable without forced close, but I can't download apps, and I get Google Talk Authentication errors wich I belive are related to the market issue (the error also appears without the talk.apk installed)
I've got a new talk.apk from a samsung galaxy s, but it will not complete the sign in process
I feel I am really close to cracking this one, but I'm really stuck.
If anyone is interested, I can post which apk files I've installed in the /system/app folder.
Oh, I forgot to say:
I've got the same 10d version without 3g, but mine runs the updated Android 2.2
So it appears that sometimes market init it works, sometimes not ... Strange
I played and did many factory resets to find the right way and now it works (triple checked!)
I have a ac100-114 (French, no 3g), with android 2.2 and rooted with z4root.
(For anyone playing with adb : before doing anything, make backups with the tegra tools, and be careful with this powerful tool!)

* I had to replace Youtube.apk (in attachment) : I don't know why, but the one from cm is not working and prevent, even without launching it, the login into the market. I retrieved it from my hd2 running android ;-)
Installing maps in /system/app prevents Market initialization.
Then I did a factory reset, followed by the Toshiba first init and wifi configuration.
Now start the Market : nothing else or you might have to factory reset to start over!
Enter a random username (very important!), a random password and click next.
The market should start checking and then tell you the login is wrong : good, it connected !
Now click back, then enter your google account and click next : the Market should accept it and show the license page.
Accept it, the market should appear a few seconds before foreclosing. Launch it again, it will forceclose again.
The third launch should be the right one !
You will get forcecloses right after each app installation, but nothing to worry about : the app stays and appears in the download section of the market
Gmail can be installed from the market.
Your contacts should be synchronized, Talk and Youtube should work.
Problems:
For maps you will have to get the apk somewhere else.
The calendar is missing.

Your method works perfectly .. Thx for that. Only problem is that the service framework starts some kind of messaging service and that wakes the ac100 from standby every couple minutes.... I tried fixing that but couldn´t do it... ;0(
So this fix is kind auseless for me...

I did some more tests, and it seems that if the packages.xml gets modified, followed by sync (just in case, I don't know anything about caching on the ac100), and then a kill -9 -1 is executed, the added permission stays, even if the packages.xml gets scrambled after reboot
For me it works : no more FCs
I found another thing : in order to see apps in the market that asks for the gps (maps, catch notes ...), just had this line to /system/etc/permissions/android.hardware.location.xml, in the <permissions> tag :

(Make a backup of the file first )
So the bottom part of the file should look like :

Good job at first for trying this amazing way to install gapps into Ac100.
In my experience, that method worked well, but it seems, after pushing the mandatory apk files to the system partition, and factory resetting, in the Toshiba device initiation settings, turning on wifi will keep the Google account settings connection from working.
I've been trying many times, only turning on wifi when google login process begins will work.
No idea why that happens.

Ok, i've managed to solve somethings (hopefully everything)
Unfortunately to root my AC100, i used ADB (I installed SuperOneClick in a previous try, don't know if it helped or not).
ADB is a tool developed inside Android project, that allows developers to test their apps directly on their phones, rather than an emulator. There are plenty of tutorial to get it started, just google it! It's not easy at first, but was the only thing allowed me to copy the files.
For those familiar with this development tool, just plug the device (ac100) in and execute
"adb remount"
in a "cmd" shell (i worked under windows). it magically remounts your system partition in RW, instead of default RO. This way you can "adb push" the files tharf listed in his first post!
Next, follow his indications:
-factory reset (HOME button+POWER button), follow the system reset, press 1 to continue, wait a few minutes and it will reboot on his own, give it time.
-configure ac100, like the first time
-connect it to wifi
-open Market App (you'll find it on the Toshiba Home menu, in the end)
-connect with random user, let it fail the authentication, the use a real one, and you're good to go!
I installed a few apps, so far so good. Only thing to keep in mind: Market launches an error after installing an app. No worries, it's fine: just press OK and go on.
I was interested in Gmail app, so i "adb push"ed it from the beginning, and it worked at first try. Same for Talk, Contacts, Youtube and Maps (find the apk, it's not hard )

I've afforded this laptop two days and so far where i updated and hadded
the portuguese language, but when i when in settings->language it simples does not exist.
I dont have anything against english, but i need at least the ortography.
I could use spannish but i rather have english

chmod 777 packages.xml

kill -9 -1
But that didn't work I still get the crashes. Can you help me with more details what you mean with 'the added permission stays'?

...im facing a bug i never dd in the previous versions after updating to v3.0.203:
GameToolkit doesnt work at all, actually after launching it nothing happens at all, no floating buttons, just nothing!
1.i updated OTA succesfully
2.i even downloaded the *.iso and made a fresh install and still the same problem.

and after installation display is black but pressing arrow key and Enter key of keyboard have tap sound;
now what should I do for displaying any thing on my display?
note: there is a minus sign on the top left corner on my display after installation!

Hi, just updated to 203 and i have the same issue here, gaming toolkit showing but not working at all, keyboard not responding...?? i'm playing pinball arcade, used to work fine before updated
Upgraded to ver 202 on HDD from 104 by copying over, as I was not allowed OTA (had used USB-stick installer with INSTALL=1 and ext4). Changed root folder name from 2016-08-11 to 2016-08-23 and same edits of Grub2. Worked fine: https://youtu.be/e-4lgdjT-4Q
Then yesterday came ver 203 - same procedure - worked fine too, once changed the root folder name to RemixOS.
I did a clean install coming from 3.0.201 and ran into this...error? I had this issue on 202 as well so I was hoping 203 would've fixed it. 201 is the last bootable build for me.
My Motherboard (Asus P6T) doesn't have WiFi, and I can't seem to get past "WiFi Setup", can it be skipped? I tried every key on the keyboard...

Thank You, but it appears that's not the problem, and I didn't see anything else on the screen... The OS just isn't booting properly on my system, I select Language, then Agree, then WiFi Setup appears, it just remains at the pink and black screen, with nothing else around, and the mouse pointer appears and disappears, sometimes I can get a white context sharing menu. I tried rebooting, still all I can get is the pink and black screen, nothing else is showing up. (My video card is an Nvidia 660Ti)

Thanks again, but the OS seems to be booting fine, and the problem may have been an incompatible mouse (SteelSeries), the next problem now is overscan (I'm connected to a TV via HDMI), parts of the UI are beyond the screen edges, and so I can't complete the setup process. But that's OK, I'm only trying RemixOS. Thanks for your help.
Edit: OK, after 3 or 4 reboots, it's now working almost fine, launching Play Store caused a freeze. I'll keep trying.

The laptop was only connected to a power cord and ethernet like it always is. I reinstalled 201 and it boots perfectly fine under the same exact conditions. I will try your suggestion when I get the chance, thanks!

I had remix os installed with windows 10 home it was working but after today windows 10 put out an update and after it finished there isn't any more remix os option at boot it just goes straight into windows the remix file folder and files are still there. Any ideas??

@[email protected] @wizmart - I've asked our Remix OS for PC product manager on this. He checked out the issue with the engineers and here is a possible solution:
1) Go to 'Settings > Remix OS options > Windowed mode app list > Gaming toolkit'
2) Make sure Windowed mode is enabled
Please let me know if this fixes the issue with the Key mapping tool. Thanks!

Have you tried to reinstall Remix OS again? According to my engineering colleague, it's actually pretty common for bigger Windows updates to do this to other OS you try to dual boot from.
After OTA from 3.0.201 to 3.0.203, system no longer boots up. Just shows the blinking "_" on black screen. Can't figure out what went wrong..

Your boot entry / boot files for remix were wiped during the Windows update. You need to examine if only boot entry was lost or also the files - if only entry, then you can manually add it via EasyBCD on legacy boot or via EasyUEFI on UEFI boot.
If you are not experienced in the above, it's easier to just reinstall. You can back up the data.img first, then install and then restore data.img.

Hi Jason, i have just had a look to my settings after your advice, gaming toolkit was enabled windows mode, i did a try again with pinball arcade just to discover there is actually a keymapping made from the game with left/right arrows active even without keymapping enable but anyway i tried again mapping other keys like before, that didn't work..i tried then with beach buggy racers, same there no success, i tried deactivate my trackpad: it was still active after reboot...i tried gaming toolkit not in windows mode, no difference, not working...
well thats my experience until now

OK, I've got it installed EUI 6.5 rooted, but I can't seem to get Gapps installed for the life of me. using the script calls ADB, but I can't figure out how to enable debugging in my TV to allow that.. The new UI is just too different to locate what I need to do.
I take no credit for any of this work. I'm just a user who found the instructions vague and confusing. So once I figured out what I needed, I decided to document it here.
OK, I've gone through all the steps. Its kinda clunky but it works. I'll first warn you if Netflix is your thing, this probably isn't for you.
Netflix does work, but you're required to use the phone/tablet app from PUREApk. This evidently reduces the video quality quite a bit.
It was noticeable for me. Felt like I was watching somewhat artifacty 720p. To get there I had to enable settings for video quality to "HIGH" otherwise it showed up in SD which was way worse.
So if you enjoy 1080P or 4K netflix, this is not your upgrade. Also, if you don't wish to be forced to use keyboard/mouse. this is NOT your upgrade. If none of that matters to you, by all means feel free!

You'll notice the TV comes on in chinese. If you need english use the google translate app and camera to convert chinese to english.
Get to home screen, press settings button, go to bottom System Settings, another menu will slide out, then General (3rd option down),
Next go to Time and settings (second option down), Go to right pane and 3rd/bottom option will be language. Select English.
Step 2) upgrade to 6.5 via offline update zip. DO NOT USE THE ROOTED BIN FILE YET, you'll have to start over if you do.

After skipping through the tutorials and jazz, go to the apps pane (press right button a few times) and go to system update -> offline update -> choose 6.5 zip file.

Basically repeating step 1, but now with the 6.5 rooted bin file. Congrats, you're rooted.

Be warned, this requires windows and isn't as straight forward as you'd hope. The app doesn't work until USB Debugging is enabled.
Also, you won't be doing this over USB. It'll be connecting ADB over Network. To do this you need to:
Go back to system setting where you changed language, but go down to saftey and enable "Application of Unknown Origin".
Now we need to sideload apps.
download https://apkpure.com/usb-debugging/com.bluedragonfly.developeroptions to the flash drive, and use the file manager to locate/install it.
download also https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687590[/url] ADBD.apk to the flash drive and use the file manager to locate/install it
Open the first app and enable USB Debugging. Then open the second app to enable insecure ADB.
Now the janky GApps batch script should work. You'll want to perform actions 1, 2, and 3.
Sadly, this will factory reset your TV once again, and you'll have to go through the setup, but its no big deal.
Now if you want extra packages I suggest sideloading the PUREApk app from https://apkpure.com/. this will help you install the Netflix mobile app.

I have the LeEco 43 in bedroom....so frustrated, it is connected to the internet. I have cut the cable and using apps. Every time I turn the tv off...and then turn on later it will not upload the apps....I unplug the tv for a minute...then turn on and the apps load. I am not that tech savvy and would appreciate any help you might offer

Netflix does work, but you're required to use the phone/tablet app from PUREApk. This evidently reduces the video quality quite a bit.
It was noticeable for me. Felt like I was watching somewhat artifacty 720p. To get there I had to enable settings for video quality to "HIGH" otherwise it showed up in SD which was way worse.

I have done the US din and update after i accidentally moved my internal memory to a 3.1 drive. After doing the updates and google play store and services does its updates my screen flickers and a grey screen comes up with a black strip ontop. I have to press back on my remote until it comes up again. Many times back to back. I have to wipe my tv to get it to stop but after updates the same thing happens. Do you think you can help?

You don't have to unplug the tv, hold the power button down for like 4 seconds to fully power the tv down, that works for me.

Recently, some users have said that they are unable to use Multi-screen Collaboration after installing certain applications on their laptop. Whenever this occurs, a dialog box pops up indicating that the hardware decoder is faulty, and that Multi-screen Collaboration does not work. Even restarting the laptop multiple times does not resolve the issue.
What went wrong?
First, let's take a look at the two main causes of this issue.
The first is the launching of certain third-party applications using the administrator permission, which causes the dynamic-link library (DLL) name of the operating system under the path (C:\windows\system32) to be modified, which can affect the running of Multi-screen Collaboration, and the system's video player.
The second involves the potentially faulty source mirror, after installing Windows system on your own, on a Linux system laptop.
How can this issue be resolved?
To use Multi-screen Collaboration, simply perform the following steps:
1. Set the preferred graphics processor to auto-select in the NVIDIA control panel.
2. If you are still unable to use Multi-screen Collaboration.
Check whether you have modified "msmpeg2vdec.dll" and "msmpeg2adec.dll" to "msmpeg2vdec.dll.bak" and "msmpeg2adec.dll.bak" under the path "C:\windows\system32".
3. If yes, delete the suffix bak.
Press the Win key and enter "CMD" in the search box on the taskbar, and right-click Command Prompt and select to run it as the administrator.
Enter the following commands:
regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\msmpeg2vdec.dll
regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\msmpeg2adec.dll
regsvr32C:\Windows\System32\evr.dll
4. If you still cannot resolve this issue, check whether this issue happens due to the second cause. It is recommended that you download the official source mirror from MSDN, and confirm that you can use this feature. Alternatively, display CMD and enter "winver" in the search box to check your system version. If your system version is lower than 1903, update your Windows system. If this issue is still unresolved, re-install the system.
