I already try to flasing my samsung SHV-E170K but it can't be done because i need PIT file. If anyone have PIT file samsung SHV-E170K, please help me.
i need more details , why not flashing a complete stock rom tar file

hey guys i want to conform if we need pit files before flashing kernels.because somehow i bricked my phone when i flashed without selecting the pit file first.so just asking.and no not a kernel which was not for my phone.
Most firmware do not use the pit files but a few do and are mentioned in the flashing instructions. Check and follow the developers instructions before flashing.

i need it bcz my s3 is soft bricked and while trying to revive it via odin flashing pda frimware it says there is no pit ..
so i tried and searched for pit files and all made stop stuck at odin saying pit mapping ..
so please if anybody have the s3 can extract the pit file for me ..

I had this issue before and it turned out my SGS3 got bricked - i could only access the bootloader. I had it repaired under warrantee. You should be able to find PIT files in other places however it is very risky and could potentially hard brick your phone. my mega 5.8 is soft brick while i was try to flash a firmware all it does is on and of at the samsung log and not booting,i cannot get to recovery but i can get to dload mode
i have load several other firmware even with pit file included with no luck.
pls can any1 help me out.
i have flash a russia firmware that flash alright with any error but still the phone wont boot up and i can entr recovery and if i use the pit only odin give failed error

+ 1 on the pit file. Theres alrealy a thread on this but still no luck in getting one.
Try removing kies and ensure usb development is enabled and that your phone ia in download mode

Are you sure its a nand file error it doesn't accept flashing the firmware , but tried flashing twrp completed but it doesn't launch when i enter the button combo
Use Samsung smart switch to restore

when I try to install the firmware through odin it's giving me this error.
I think I need pit file but I don't have it and I couldn't extract from the device cuz it's not working
