Hello! I have (eSTAR GRAND HD QUAD CORE 3G [MID1058G] S/N: 1058142300251 , by downloading apps from internet i somehow managed to get a virus. I got this app called "clean master" which after searching for viruses it found some trojan viruses but even if i disable the service it would still work , and i wasin't abble to delete it because it was system app. that make my tab to lag and go insane( open diffrent windows, automaticlly scroling and stuff, typing by it self) and wierd apps like omniConnect , and porn apps has been installed. The problem is that even if i delete them after reboot or even hard reset the apps are still there and no effect at all!(when rebooting the phone is show that phone is updating evry single time) By doing so reaserch the thing i need to do is reinstall my rom but i can't even find a custom recovery it's probably because my tab is not that popular so popular creators like , clockworkMod , TWRP don't support my device. Then i found this forum know alot about this stuff like flashing roms and stuff so i decided to make a post.
If anyone know how to fix my problem with viruses please let me know.
If you say that i need to reinstall my rom please tell me how because im not really good with androids so i don't really know how to do it.

Ummm I don't think so android cannot get virus that much easily if u r facing virus related problem then just install an affective paid antivirus like avast etc and yes if your problem remain then flash your stock ROM with the help of your PC

I know the problem is that i can't find one even if i wanted to. The antivirus can't delete it after evry single reboot the phone ****ing updates it self and gets the programms back. And every single time you reboot more and more apps apear.

I have bought a new HCL ME TABLET U1
Its specs are
Android 4.0.3
Cortex A8 1GHz
7 Inch , 800X400
512MB DDR3
Kernel :- 3.0.8
I want to root it.
Can someone suggect me any tool for it?
It does not have play me whereas it has it own market by the name hclme.
If i try to manually install using apk file. It does not work after installtion if i try to make it work it says application not resposnding.

Hello sachin, I have a similar problem. I would recommend you please do not install non-hcl market apps in the tablet. I am just back from the service center. Deposited the tablet today. The internal memory has a write problem & no matter how much i tried, the settings & the non-market apps i installed are not removing/changing. The tablet is good but i am responsible for screwing it up. Have patience & let the developers release a custom rom or mod for the U1.

And soon i will be able to put custom rim as well.

It was the 4th day after the purchase. i installed everything i could in it through apk files. I once connected a 3g tata docomo stick in it & bamm!! It was blank! I read the manual & pressed the reset switch with a pin & it worked. The tab booted up & to my surprise no matter how much i tried i could not uninstall any of the applications, change any of the settings. As if it got write protected. Whenever i rebooted the tab it came back in the same state, read-only. The service center people are saying it maybe replaced. What do you think i should do? Does this have to do something with the root? I tried to install the 4 apk file google play setup (one by one install). I even connected it to the pc & formatted the inbuilt memory but it all came back astonishingly!

Have you tried to factory data reset?
Tried that a lot of times. no luck! Its a lemon now. Lets see if HCL replaces it. I know it could be my fault. Do you think installing the apps has done this? I think the 3g dongle has something to do with this? or maybe it was a defective piece. I am waiting for their call. Lets see what happens

Well i have 40+ apps downloaded but i have not faced this issue..
I have not tried dongle yet..
Hmm thats a sad situation.
Can you tell me what all you tried putting and removing since u bought this tab??

It seems like that you encrypted your tab first and then during reset it might have changed the file settings to read only mode.
Dont worry its a software issue, they will fix it.
May be its a glitch with their software only. May be they have not done the proper testing before releasing the tab out in the market.
What i would suggest dont think its ur mistake tell them its their mistake.
Dont tell them you downloaded apps from different source.
Hopefully everything should be fine.

1)Were you able to use google play market properly?
2)Did u face this issue that if you run some apps the screen goes upside down. I mean to say we have ME written at the top and when i run some apps the screen needs to be rotated 180 degrees to make it run properly.
I dont think the service center people have enough knowledge about the new tablet. I had a talk with their technician & he said it might be replaced. I was expecting it as its a new launch & its ICS. actually i saved a few apk files on the internal memory & as you know no matter how much i tired i cannot delete them. So that is worrying me as they will find out & confront me for the same.
Google play did worked but whenever i tried to install any app from it, it crashed & then didnt run again (until reinstall) & i got the error message "stopped unexpectedly" or something. I guess it needed root access because the tab was not permitting any non-hcl market apps to run on it.
And for your 2nd question, maybe that did happen but i didnt realize it because i used the tab just for 3 days & its hard to recall what i did.

Thanks! It means google play never worked. Actually in order to make it work it needs to be installed using the rom installation and some files needs to be changed as well to make it work.
As far as hcl support is concerned , all i can say they are horrible , i spoke to a tech support guy and he said i can install any app using google he wanted to say if the app is not there in the market i can download it from google with the extension apk and i can use it . he also confirmed it would not void the warranty .
I asked him for pc software and guess what he said. Sir you find the software on google. Then i told him to share the link then he gave some sendspace link which was not working. As i am working and i dont have access to the tablet right now. They were insisting on the serial number of the tablet which i was not carrying while i was calling them up.
Dont worry about your tab , it willl be fine.
I am looking for someone who can help me in rooting this device. it seems like this tab is not rooted yet. I have an app root check it says device is rooted but when i go to cache folder its all empty and when i try to go there using shell it says access denied.

hello to everyone ı have a question about the memory. When I do it for cmw full wipe, dalvin cache, fix permission the telephone memory is 80 mb but ı cant do it dalvin cache, full wipe and fix permission the memory of my neo is 200mb and for example documents to go not show in a menu and cant use it. And for example facebook and a tapatalk update is invalid. But when a full wipe, dalvin cache and fix permission ı use it and ı can use a program. Is it a normal sutiation ?? do you guess my telephone has got a virus or smthing like that. I confused about two sutiation has got a bigger diffecence a memory area. Thanks for your reply!!!!

I agree with "tele phone" part , but trust me it can get virus,
don't you think why there is so many Anti-Virus apps on market?
Anti virus is for users who install any damn thing without even knowing what exactly it is for .... And then they keep complaining....
If you're an experienced user,and are well aware of what you install, you don't need Anti virus ....
Ps : it can be handy to keep an anti virus software while you're new....
It won't be much required once you get into intricacies of android!

Do you have the zip file of the ROM that you put on your phone? If so, you can edit the zip file using 7zip (find the apps folder) and flash that, making sure that the signature verify is turned off. This is how I used to do it on my phone, but have recently updated to using 4Ext and still finding my way around this app, but it's got app removal built in (I think).

Not at all, we all have to start somewhere. I'm not particularly technical myself so I will try and help as much as I can.
When you say you have rooted your phone, have you also install a custom ROM on your phone as well? To do this, you should have had a zip file that you used to flash the ROM to the phone.
I would create a copy of the ZIP file, in case you go wrong. Open up the ZIP file using 7zip (or something similar, I suggested this one as I know you can delete files from the zip file, but some other programs won't do this).
You show see two folders, click on system and then click on the app folder. You need to be careful in what you delete as it might force the phone to crash out (hence make a copy of the ZIP file, and have both of them on your phone). Simply delete the apps you don't want and then save and flash the ROM on your phone (you will need to turn off signature verify for it to work, but I'm not sure where there will be in your menu's as I don't know what recovery you are using, it's normally under "other").
Does this make anything more clearer?

In order to understand what it is that you want to archive, could you please tell me why you rooted your phone?
I ask as, unless you have a copy of the stock ROM, once you have flashed a ROM, you won't be able to go back to the original ROM. If you are happy to go ahead, I suggest you look around for ROM's that will work on your phone. Depending on what you want from a ROM (small size, quick loading or lots of gadgets and tweaks), you should be able to find one already working to how you would like. Some ROM's do not have any Google apps or YouTube and only have basic apps to run the phone (I had a ROM call Redux that was like this), other ROM's have many features (I've had a ROM called MIUI that was like this). If you find a ROM you like, it is better to leave the apps as they are.
I can try and help you with how to flash the ROM if you get stuck, but I did not use the superoneclick way.
As I said first, why do you want to remove apps?

If you find a custom ROM you like (I would try it first before deleting apps), then I would hold off downloading 7zip as you may not need it if you like the ROM as it is :good:

Cause i never use this apps i have there ,its only 5 but still ,i dont like them and dont want them staying there.. its real slow everything,it sucks.Its reall hard to find any ROMS..i dont know how i should look them,im kinda new on this..so what i rooted 2 times superoneclick was the only way for me...others i find wont do anything,i tryed.(im sorry for my bad english)... thx you for ttrying to help me,iknow its no use at all only a bit.. my android is version is 2.2.1 , im guess CyanogenMod 7 ,Gingerbread or something else i really really dont know.and i cant find them,not with these numbers. isit possible if i take different numbers than i have? even MIUI wont work update failed ..this phone wont accept anything like its seams.

Hmmmmmm, there are other things you could try if you are having issues with your phone.
I have an app called Autostarts and you can stop apps from booting when the phone is restarted or when other things happen (like a change in signal).
I also have another app called Battery Mix which is very good at finding out what apps are running and draining the battery or taking up CPU usage.
I also have another app called Quick System Info which you can set up so that when you click end tasks, it only ends tasks that you've selected (you put them on a supervise list), which is very handy if you have things like 3G monitoring or clocks that might crash if you kill them.
Maybe you need to root the phone in a different way. Try reading this

Hey guys.
I'm posting over there as there are developpers here and i think my problem is more about system level
stuff than user level.
on my TM1007 tablet i caught some kind of virus ( well i'd better say this virus caught my tablet ).
It's one of those things that hack the android browser forcing the homepage to open on www . gotoamazing . com
This is the visible part of the iceberg but i wonder wether this virus does or don't log keys, passes, and anything else.
I'm a former linux user and am really stunned a linux based OS like android is, is this weak and virus-open !!!!!!
ok let's go deeper in the issue.
of course i started with all the tuts showing how to get rid of viruses and adwares.... useless....
the only app that detected thingies is adwcleaner and it just does nothing but deleting the install package APK.
nevertheless, when the APK has spread it's poison over the system it's pretty useless.....
so, what i did:
-installed the few thingies for obtaining the root access
-installed a console... weeeeee best game ever on linuxes 8-D
-grepped for "gotoamazing" on root folder
and....
OMG !!!!! it's everywhere !!!
in browser cache
in browser conf
in browser database......
so the final question:
-does anyone know an app able to really search for viruses and clean the infected files instead of just and always triggering a popup sayin all is fine ?
-does anyone even know this 'gotoamazing' crap ? and fought it ? and in this case what was the solution ?

I got a tablet from a big chain company of my country called Turbo-x Twister IV and few days ago I got a virus that can't be deleted. I did factory reset but nothing, so it got permission to install on the system and the virus is the tablet probably.

Also the antivirus finds the SDK client is the virus and asks every hour to uninstall, I uninstall but then it reappears always. Here is some info I found about the virus:
Package name: com.xbkpnotification
Certificate info: /C=cn/ST=guangdong/L=shenzhen/O=xiaobukuaipao/CN=yu
PERMISSIONS:
Install applications, Delete Applications, Close background processes, mount unmount file system, receive boot broadcasting, get info of the current/recent running tasks, read WIFI state.
Does anyone know what to do? Someone told me to install custom ROM but this brand name is from the company and I don't really know which ROM to add so I won't destroy my device. I have Android version 5.1.1 and I always update it so it is the latest.
I would really appreciate some help because now my tablet is useless, it doesn't even allow me to go on the google play store and download games and I definitely am not going to add my phone number to steal my information.

Well, you tried to remove it via adb? also please, post screenshots bere.
I can make the jokes for you haha
Well I don't know anything about the tablet technology, I just owned one and added things from app store, so no I didn't try Android Debug Bridge,. It has some tutorials on youtube should I just watch one and do it? Is for all the brands the same program and procedure or needs any specifics?

I installed all the three adb drivers on my device and I can put files from my pc now. How do I know which custom ROM is for my Turbo-x Twister IV to install with adb? Or am I supposed to do anything else? I just want to delete all the files from my tablet to remove the virus and then put new system (custom ROM or anything else equivalent) without the virus.
I would love some more guidance if you can provide. Sorry for the trouble I am new to this and I am a little confused
Hello ,its an old thread but i want to ask ,i have the same tab but adb doesn't recognise it ,pc ca see it but not adb .
Of course usb debugging is on but nothing also cant found any usb drivers for this device ,any solution ?
