TWRP for Oxygen OS 3.1.0

Is there any twrp recovery for Oxygen OS 3.1.0
No, not yet.. Wait for the developer to release new build
Oos 3.1.0 is community build so we may get twrp after official ota update. Have patience.

Jumping on MIUI 8 MM

Hello,
I've always been in Lollipop builds of MIUI, but since there's MM based MIUI 8 now I want to jump on that. previously, I'd do things as follows,
1. Flash MIUI fastboot ROM.
2. If bootloader was locked unlock it using MiUnlock program.
3. Flash TWRP.
4. Boot TWRP.
5. Flash universal boot img patcher.
6. Flash SU.
7. Flash Xposed.
8. Boot the ROM for the first time.
The way I describe above works flawlessly with LL MIUI ROMs, but since I want to jump on the MM ones, I was wondering if the same could be done with the MM based ROM or if I need to change something. Previously on the leaked MM Rom I got problems with UBP and the rom became finicky to boot. It would boot once but a reboot gave bootloop.
Any kind user if you have any advice on having MM with root and xposed please share your knowledge on how I need to go about doing that.
Thanks in advance.
What rom did you have, global dev rom or stable rom? My case at first was on global dev rom(LL) and received an ota update, then I copied it to external sd card, flashed by alka twrp the rom, superSU and xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20160710.zip in one single flashed with success.

Previously I had to flash UBP to keep the recovery intact. Is that not necessary anymore? it was 6.7.21 leaked MARSHMALLOW. LL works fine.
Use lazyflasher for mm instead of ubp

can you give a link to lazflasher? Thank you.

Custom recovery and custom ROM

I recently unlocked the bootloader of my oneplus x to install an ota update 2.2.3 oxygen os which downloaded but failed to install. Then a 1 or 2 days ago i got the marshmallow update (pretty late ikr unlike OP3 and OP2). But, i didn't install a custom recovery because on the oneplus site it was written in the ota installation guide that stock recovery is preferred while installing ota updates manually. So FIRSTLY i would like to ask that can i install a custom rom with an unlocked stock recovery or i need a custom recovery. Secondly, is CYANOGENMOD better than oxygen os or should i continue with oxygen os. Thirdly, do i need to root my phone to install custom rom and recovery? Lastly, is all this worth doing ?
You don't need to unlock bootloader for getting OTA updates.
1. You cannot install custom rom through stock recovery. You have to use custom recovery (with bootloader unlocked )i.e., TWRP by bluespark in oos 3.1.3 or later MM version.
Don't flash this recovery if you are using lollipop oos, for lollipop oos use normal twrp.
2. If you want more customizations, themes and root access then go for cyanogen. But if you want stable, with great camera then go for oos.
Personally i prefer oos over cm because camera quality in cm is not comparable as OOS have.
3. You don't need to root your opx to install roms and custom recovery
4. yeah for me its absolutely worth because i can flash what i want and do more things. ?
You can install oos 3.1.3 through twrp as well as stock recovery.

New owner of a Kate, which files should I use ?

Hi all,
I'm a glad owner of a Redmi Note 3 Pro SE "Kate", and I'm a bit lost with all the threads, roms, TWRP versions, methods to unlock the bootloader...
I've read a lot, but there is many many threads and files here, sometimes with outdated info, and I don't want to make the bad choices !
I have already flashed the latest Global Dev ROM and waiting for official unlock at MIUI.
Now, I want to install a custom ROM (like CM or RR) and it's where it begins to be complicated....
So I have two questions:
- Which TWRP version is best for my use ?
- Do I have to flash radio firmware, or some other firmware file if I flash CM or other custom ROM ?
In the CM thread there is firmware file, but I suppose it's for Kenzo, and not Kate, am I right ?
Thanks for reading.
Use Alka TWRP, M4, or official.

Firmware for CM13 is around.

I had already downloaded this file, but if I'm understanding well, this is the same I have on my phone right ? (MIUI 8 Global dev 6.12.22, latest beta)

Where please ? I haven't found the CM13 official thread...
Do you think there will be issues if I keep the firmwares I have on MIUI 8 Global dev 6.12.22 and flash CM13?
If I flash other custom ROM, (aosp one or cm based), can I use the same firmware file ?
The firmware is for Nougat based for kate

Newer fastboot stock ROM

Hi
Is there a 023s firmware that's flashable via FlashOne or Qfil?
The only firmware I found is an old build developers ROM that cannot be updated without installing a custom recovery.
You can flash 5.8.016s via fastboot, the use the 5.8.023s update zip to update

I flashed 5.8.017s with recovery from a previous installed 5.8.023s, then installed Google apps and then updated again to a fresh 5.8.023s. Rom works so far ok but the fingerprint sensor has no function at all
Is there a way to flash a custom modified stock rom without unlocking the bootloader and installing a TWRP ?
regards,
Frank

Heyyo, 5.8.016s is that "International" ROM but it's actually modified EUI and will not update via OTA and attempting to flash an update.zip from recovery also fails since it's modified EUI. It's the ROM all Le Max 2 resellers put on the device to prevent changes to the ROM.
My Le Max 2 x829 4GB RAM 64GB Storage came with 5.8.016s and I got fed up with it so now I run Dark Unicorn or Pure Nexus ROMs.

I doubt a modified EUI that wasn't from LeEco itself would allow you to keep the bootloader locked as even with 23s you can't relock it on a X829. The most likely reason you can't update from a X829 rom to a X820 rom is that the phone's CID doesn't match. They never produced a newer X829 (US model) EUI build than 16s since they decided to not release the phone in the US. And of course OTAs don't work for the same reason.
Anyway is there any newer firmware that is flashable via QFIL/FlashOne?
