I always had the thought that Samsung rushed the Note 7 so they can better focus on the S8 lineup which'll actually be a huge game changer compared to S7E and Note 7. Does anyone know what would likely happen to rooted device if this recall does happen?

Fairly sure you voided your warranty and therefore you not getting recalled. You still can try, maybe they are not looking ^^

Believe they will just exchange any Note 7 on the spot with your receipt, dun think will go through your phone. They do not have time to do that after angering all their users.
Let’s forget the promo of the new Gear VR and the MicroSD card 256GB for the owners the previous Galaxy Note range ...... Let’s forget that I should have to receive the Note 7 three days before the official release ... Let’s forget that for 11 days my pre-order was stuck in limbo in an order development phase.....
After this I call the Call Center .... arrogant, overbearing, without the slightest empathy ... they tell me that I will receive a refund within 7 days if I cancel my order, because no one knows to tell you when the Note 7 will be available, then I receive an email confirmation That I canceled my order and… surprise surprise: "the credit to your account may take up to 14 days".
All in all I'm lucky, because my girlfriend bought it through the bank, and she already paid the first instalment ... and surprise surprise AGAIN..... The Call Center says to her: "You have to have patience, you have to wait" For HOW LONG?
Finally I with the Galaxy S7 Edge Galaxy Note 5 am done with SAMSUNG, I had all the Galaxy S line, the entire Galaxy Note line…...
But the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 were my LAST SAMSUNG products.
All this being said, anyone from Europe, in fact worldwide let’s join forces on social media and shame them.

So I know it can be used on Nexus 5 phones and Nexus 7 Tablets(Atleast that's from what i've read). So my only question is since I can't seem to find anything on it. Can I turn any android phone/tablet into a PwnPhone/PwnTab or is it only on certain devices? Anytime I search all I get are results for the Nexus 7 Tablets and LG Nexus 5 phones.

Samsung creating software to help transfer Notes from the Galaxy Note 7 to the Galaxy S7
Samsung launched a powerful new note-taking app with the Galaxy Note 7 called Samsung Notes. It consolidated apps and features like Memo, S Note, Action memo and Scrapbook in one simple app.*The new app didn't just enhance the handset's note-taking abilities but also brought some new features as well. Samsung did say at one point that it will bring this app to handsets other than the Galaxy Note 7 but since then it has been pretty busy with the recall. Now that the Galaxy Note 7 is dead , people will be exchanging their units with other devices and they will obviously take their data with them. Samsung is said to be creating new software that enables users to transfer notes from the Galaxy Note 7 to the Galaxy S7. This was revealed by someone who got in touch with Samsung Technical Support for Smart Switch. He was told that since the app isn't compatible with Galaxy phones yet the Notes are not compatible as well. Support told him that Samsung is working on developing new software which will enable users to transfer their Notes from the Galaxy Note 7 to the Galaxy S7 . It's unclear how long it will take for Samsung to*release it but I wager it's not going to be long, it won't be something that's terribly complex and with users urged to*replace their*Galaxy Note 7s immediately,*Samsung has all the more reason in the world to release the software quickly.

TZ back with another video, this time i am looking at alternative smartphones for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, due to battery explosions, 2 recalls and major safety concerns the Note 7 has finally been killed off and production stopped completely. Due to a mandatory recall i have returned my Note 7 and many of you are in the same position as me, what now? Well all Note 7 owners know that no other phone can compete for features so lets look at the best of the rest. What are you replacing your Note 7 with? LG V20? Moto Z, Pixel XL? iPhone 7 Plus? I can't wait for the Note 8 it will be an awesome phone! Still seething after the loss of my Note 7 but currently rocking an S8+ which is a fantastic phone so any improvement on it in the guise of the new Note will make it the best phone of 2017

I am still using my 2nd batch 100% charging silver note 7 since august 2016, so far so good, but I am eagerly waiting for the note 8
