I have x822 and from the begining I didn't have LTE signal thats why started to change roms. Now I have CM13 on it, but still no LTE. When I change for prefered LTE I didn't have any signal... Apn is good. Don't know what is wrong, maybe someone can solve that problem or have same? Can it be hardware problem? Also signal is all the time changing between 3G and H+. Same SIM card in HTC M8 in same place has good LTE signal. I tried both SIM card slots, but nothing happend, still no lte signal.

First thing I'd suggest is going to your Telco and getting a new sim unless it is already new.

but in HTC M8 it works.
Poland LTE bands: 800, 1800, 2600
Everything is ok for me with LTE. 800 and 1800 tested, no 2600 signal here yet.

I found this:
Telco does not accepte IMEI in 86 only in 35.
can it be the reason?
I dont know but both of my IMEI starts with 86.
Why don't you call them, just to check and eliminate SIM card problem?
Second, maybe there is some kind of difference in modems, X820 vs X822. Do you have same Baseband version as i do or?
Sent from my Le X820 using Tapatalk
Baseband Is same. I don't NKWD wiat happened, but today I start to have LTE, strange.

I read how to toggle it off, but if I'm in an area that has no LTE yet maybe it doesn't matter. Or is it always scanning for LT? I have great battery so far without messing with the setting, but would it be a little better by shutting LTE off?
I switched mine to cdma only, but I haven't seen any difference in battery life with it off vs on. YMMV

I believe turning to cdma only turns off CDMA-eHRPD.

I will say I consistently get speeds 500 kbps slower when I go to CDMA only, so I'm leaving LTE on.
yes i also get much lower speeds when going to cdma only
My speeds are similar either way, except for my ping speed which is vastly better with CDMA only.

This is true....discussed a little over at s4gru about this....though still some unknown/unsolved things relating to eHRPD i think...
My speeds dropped with LTE off as well. Particularly upload speeds.
With CDMA only I was around 20-30 kbps up.
With LTE/CDMA it's twice that. Interesting to know! Thanks for the post.
just ran about 5 tests on lte and cdma only. no noticeable difference.
.22-.88, hovering around .32 on LTE
.25-.67, hovering around .38 on CDMA
ping of 260-280 on both
upload of .25-.5 on both
Central Austin (no NV improvements yet)
I tested this just now, and I don't see difference either.
my pic from another thread... all the 2000s are cdma only and the others are cdma/lte

I contacted HTC about it, and got this:
Thank you for contacting HTC about your new EVO 4G LTE! Congratulations on your new phone! Do you love it?! I’ve had mine for about a week now and I have to say, I’m in love! I do understand how important maximizing your battery life is in your phone and I’m happy to tell you that changing the mobile network from LTE/CDMA to CDMA only will have no effect on the battery life!

Guess which network I just signed up to so I could get the S3

Thanks FF, useful tip, it was actually showing TMobile Orange in the network when you pull down the notification bar. I changed that to just TMobile via a network search, ran another test and got 3835kbps, which is more like I'd expect.
Cheers again for the tip.

Only one problem, you're on Three
Yup sorted it on mine - I had to upload (and also deleted the account out of sync and logged back in) but you have to do 6 things - sync with PC, friend sync, etc etc before you get you extra 48gb

Any of you had the SGSII before the III and using the same carrier & location? I want to know has the speeds increased any or close to the same?

I cannot see it being much faster. They both have HSPA+ i believe.
Compared to my Desire HD however, WOW!
Since I got this phone I like it a lot the speeds were very decent compare to my old nexus but today is been really bad here in las Vegas anyone else have this problem? It looks like LTE is far from coming Herr so I doubt is that

Sprint data speed is terrible in most areas... The common answer you will get from here is either:
1) switch to a different carrier.
2) wait for network vision.
Or
3) take your phone to sprint.
Welcome to Sprint...
The only true unlimited data network with no data cap.........since youll be spending half the month loading one web page

I'm in the USA. Got this phone, put my FreedomPop SIM in (a AT&T MVNO).
And pretty much everywhere in my city it stayed at 3G.
I ported my number to Red Pocket (another AT&T MNVO) because I was sick of FreedomPop's messaging app you're forced to use.
With the RP SIM, same thing, mostly 3G.
I know this phone doesn't support AT&T's main LTE band 12/17, but supports 2,4 and 5.
So, playing around with settings (*#*#4636#*#*) I changed Set Preferred Network Type to: LTE/UMTS auto and it changed from 3G 850MHz (Band 5) to 4G Band 2.
Will it fall back to 3G when it needs to with this setting?

OK, I changed my Preferred network type from 4G/3G/2G to 3G/2G and it automatically changed to 3G.
Changed back, and back on 4G.
Think I'll be OK.
Something to check for fellow US users that might have this issue.
I'm also in the U.S.and have freedompop but I get 4G. At least it says 4G in the status (not LTE). I don't know whether I'm actually getting 4G speed. Seems fast enough.
Good to know this trick, in any event
Thanks

Yeah I know about speed test. I just didn't want to blow through my data cap lol I'm a cheap bastard.
On my Samsung A20, I have network problems. Óne of my simcards cannot access internet past 600KBps which is 4.8Mbps.
I get this problem no matter the OS I am on. Even if I switch OSes, the problem is still there.
All the other simcards work at full speeds.
The funny thing is, The galaxy store just updated in full speeds at over 15MBps which is around 120Mbps. It took 2 seconds. Then it immediately went back to the normal speeds of 4.8Mbps for the rest of the phone.
Edit 1
Actually, the galaxy store is operating at full speeds.
That's an improvement
It never does that
Edit 2
So I just took one of the IP addresses that the galaxy store is using and used a VPN to tunnel all my data through it. My speeds are now at 3.9MBps, an improvement from the 0.6MBps I was getting.
No one on my ISP network has a similar issue. My isp has also tried resetting my simcard multiple times to no avail.
Wtf is happening. Is it the phone's issue, the simcards issue or my ISP? Could this be related to my phone? My phone got mildly fried a while back and now it won't respond to half the chargers, won't fast charge and there's no MTP. Did the simcard get fried too? But my phone is dual sim, and the other one works fine. Also, the simcard seems to work fine with the galaxy store so I am confused.
The galaxy store at full speeds

The PlayStore at 600KBps
I then took one of the IP addresses from the galaxy store and used a free VPN to route my data through it. My speeds increased to over 34Mbps.
Mark you, it's a free VPN so those are really good speeds for it.
