LG Tribute 5 | LS675 lgup error - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im trying to install the stock rom for my boost mobile lg tribute 5 but when i start lgup and begin the flash process. the program stops at 11% and throws out. Error:userdata unmount success. I have no idea what that is, and i cant continue any further my phone is stuck in download mode and i cant upgrade the firmware because of this userdata thing what the hell is that?

Can you get into the stock recovery? If you can perform a factory reset through that and try again. userdata partition might be missing.

Bricked T Mobile LG V10 ?

Hello I'm new here . Here's my situation. I have the T mobile Lg V10 64GB. I was doing a update through LGUP. I was about 60% done when I lost usb connection and it failed. I went through the process again and it completed successfully or at least that's what it said. The phone now keeps booting into TWRP. I tried to format data at first got error can't mount cache also same result when trying to wipe cache, system ect. after formating data 3 times the error went away and was able to format data without errors as well as wiping Cache System ect. I can install roms via TWRP and they say completed successfully but after reboot its still booting into TWRP. I tried using stock TOT and KDZ files through download mode but get error 0x2000 TOT anti rollback version is smaller than device. I found a stock one with root and TWRP built in. This one does complete but phone still booting back to TWRP. I also tried to flash images through fastboot. but I get remote connection failed or something like that. I can use reboot boot loader and fastboot oem unlock and saiy bootloader is unlocked but all other commands return back remote connection failed. Please any suggestions would be appreciate. I brought this phone brand new 2 mths ago.

Help With Completly Messed Up H830

My H830 was rooted with recovery with Nougat 20c. I hit the notification for the new update by accident and didn't properly cancel out of the process. The result was a boot to recovery. Any attempt to reboot to system brought me back to recovery.
From recovery, I attempted to flash 20a, wiping the system partition before the flash in the attempt to install 20a clean. The system partition was wiped, but 20a did not install, though the flash came back with a success message. The system partition remained empty.
My next moves were attempts to use LGUP to load the 10d Root TOT file and the 10j stock rom. Both attempts failed at 10% in LGUP with the following error:
Error: Error Code = 0x2BC,
Invalid command response
code = 0x80000202
My phone is now stuck in Firmware Update, which is where it boots after removing the battery and restarting.
Is there any way to fix this, or did I make all the wrong moves leading me to brick that I need to pay off for the next 23 months?
Any help accepted.
David
Have you tried the most basic one: LG Bridge? It has error recovery something (which I used once for my H850)

If you can still get into twrp, you need to format data not wipe before booting into bootloader. I had the same problem on my H850 with Twrp recovery loops. From bootloader, use LG up to upgrade to 20a stock kdz.

LG Bridge did it. Repaired recovery with stock with the option you mentioned and it downloaded 20d. Brief scare with an "Error" screen on the phone at 80%, but it installed fine. Now I only have to downgrade to 20a and do Recowvery to get Root back.
Thanks!

Help! I'm In some kind of bootloop. I can access fastboot mode, and download mode.

I have the T mobile H901 Like just about everyone else. I got it with android 6.0 and I wanted to root it. Now i didn't really know what to do, so I tried following some guides on here. I got my bootloader unlocked, but TWRP would not install, and I kept getting some "unknown command" error. So I installed this via LGUP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-v10/general/root-android-6-0-h901-t3382819
That gave me twrp, but I could no longer boot into system. From there I tried installing stock 6.0 .zip files, Installing .kdz files through LGUP, but nothing was working.
So then I tried this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-v10/development/rom-v10h901v20estock-customized-t3360240
I installed the V10_H901_V20L_Update_P1.zip, then the V10_H901_V20J_Stock_Custom_2e_FULL-signed.zip both though TWRP 3.0, and followed the rest of the instructions until I got to: "Once in Fastboot type this command "fastboot oem unlock"" BUT my phone already WAS unlocked. So I (not really thinking) typed "fastboot oem lock" and then it said "erasing data" like it was supposed to. But after that, I can do longer get into my recovery, Boot to system, and If I don't enter fastboot OR download mode, It stays in a bootloop where it says: "boot verification fail!! - Cause : MISMATCH_SIG_LEN
Please if anyone could help I would be so happy.
EDIT: I should also mention that when I try and flash the stock 6.0 rom with LGUP (The "H90120e_00_0316") It gets to 9% and fails with the error: Error Code - 0x2000, TOT antirollback version is smaller than device version.
OK I fixed my phone by using LG Bridge firmware update while my phone was in download mode. The only problem is NOW I can't root. I hope someone can get a Nougat root working.

Boot to download mode using power+ vol up and use lg bridge to restore the phone then reflash twrp.
I can reboot to twrp. I want to restore my backup but in twrp "No partitions selected for restore". I try to clean install my previous rom from https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/rom-debloated-stock-rom-11m-t3740564 but it bootloop again ;/

You can't use 7.0 ROMs, unless you flash back the bootloader as I guess there is a new one came with 8.0
As for TWRP, I did not try it yet, but if you wan't to go back you need to flash an older 7.0 .kdz
Well it crossed my mind, that this can be bootloader fault :/ If it is possible I can flash 8.0 kdz but Im scared. LG Up only upgrade existing system to new one, but my system is corrupted now. When I made this I lost TWRP and gonna be in real deep s***
i successfully went to oreo then back to nougat with LG UP without any problems. i am suing the COMMON dll, not the uppercut trick.
i suggest you to select REFURBISH in LG UP and flash again
I PM you
Correct me if im wrong:
I download dll from: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/lgup-oreo-dll-file-v30-t3779441
-Create folder called "common" and unzip the .dll file inside of it.
-press vol up + power and boot into download mode
-Connect the phone to your PC
-Launch LGUP.exe
-Select process called "REFURBISH"
Select the firmware file (oreo or nougat?)
Click Start and pray
Ok everything goes great with steps above So if someone have bootlop problem like me, feel free to use LGUP

Stuck in download mode lg g6 with no os in bootloop with hardbrick

I tryied to flash the stock rom but it gave me an error for the file system "unable to unmount /system" like if the file system was not in my phone. I tryied to flash another rom, the stock rom, it started to flash, TWRP wrote the boot img but not the file system.
