Hello, I'm new member in here. Today I flashed UltimaROM to my SGS3. Before the flashing I installed Philz touch recovery and saved Nandroid, modem and EFS backups in my PC. After the flashing no IMEI number was shown and I got a message saying " Insert SIM card....". So i tried to restore EFS in custom restore option in philz recovery. Even though it showed restore successful , IMEI number is still unavailable and i couldn't connect to mobile network. I also tried ktools to restore efs but no result. Can someone please help me regarding this issue.
What version firmware did you have before you first flashed? If it was really old then that could be the problem.
Flash a 4.3 stock rom, factory reset them boot and see if your efs is read again.

Thanks for the reply. I had 4.1.2. If I flash 4.3 stock ROM can i retrieve my IMEI ?
If you flash a 4.3 stock it will update your efs to v2 and should enable it to be read in all newer firmwares.
Hello,
I've backed up my EFS with TWRP 2.8.6.0 but when i rebooted my phone it said that i had no service.
What to do? Want to install Liquidsmooth rom but i'd like to still have my EFS so i don't lose my IMEI
PS: I've flashed my rom to stock again, i can make calls again. But i still want to backup it and install the rom.
Thanks in advance!
Makes no sense, to backup efs just copy the whole directory to your pc -only requires root.
@ha966: you lost your IMEI probably because TWRP 2.8.6.0 was to big, it overwrote some neigbbour-things and flashing your modem again had repaired it. The corrected version 2.8.6.1 is online now.

Flashing stock rom with odin fixed mine, but i did have efs backups anyway
Try flashing stock first before trying any efs restoring
Hi,
I messed up my NVRAM, no IMEIs nor MACs...
Can Someone provide me a full NVRAM backup or a working solution for restoring IMEIs?
(no luck with IMEI&SN Writer so far)
Thanks
Manuel
If you flash a stock ROM that is flashable with SP Flash Tool, this will probably restore a working NVRAM. But this is not for the faint-hearted. If you can't find such a stock ROM, then you can try this custom ROM: http://www.needrom.com/download/xiaomi-redmi-note-2-hermes-cinafoniaci-rom/
As I said, this is not for the faint-hearted. If you are scared of trashing the phone, don't try it.
PS: next time, backup your NVRAM with TWRP recovery.
Try this:

good luck
Thanks for your help,
flashing stock rom with SP-Flash tool doesnt worked for me.
Restoring the files is only a temporary solution till next phone wipe.
