I am using Xposed's No Lock Home Screen on my Note 8.0 (kitkat). I am set up to keep my tablet unlocked on trusted networks. I would like to use bluetooth to automatically unlock my tablet when they are paired but it seems like my phone and my tablet don't communicate that way. Can anyone help me out?

hello i am a nyc cab driver and we use android to receive our address in order to pick up passengers via a special app. i have an lenovo ideatab1209 but it is the WiFi version which means when the program tries to look for the phone number it wont work because the tablet is not one of the types that cell phone carriers sell that has the phone number is stired in the about tablet in the setting menu, i want to know what i have to do in order to trick my tablet to show that information in the system settings or what files would i have to alter in to trick my tablet into thinking it has a phone...
Is there a way (or is it possible technically speaking) for a tablet (Nexus 7) to interface with an Android phone that would allow the tablet to make and take calls, and text through stock Android apps?
I am trying to mount my Nexus 7 in my car dash and am tethering for a internet connection but would like access to other phone functions as well. Any ideas on how to solve this one? Thanks.
Hey Guys,
first post here, so hopefully i don't do anything wrong
Got myself a Freelander PX1 Tablet with Android 4.2.1. Unfortunately I am stuck while trying to use my phone's internet connection via bluetooth. From what it looks like my android system is missing the Private Area Network PAN client support. (no /system/bin/pand)
Is there any way to 'install' this? As the tablet also does not recognize ad-hoc wifi spots I am unable to go online
Thanks!
Cheers

anyone?
I'm wondering the same thing. I just managed to pair an older Lenovo A1 Gingerbread 2.3.4 with a Galaxy S4 JellyBean/CyanogenMod 10.2 by having them pair, then the phone turn on Bluetooth tether (which Gingerbread doesn't support), and connect to the PAN from the tablet using pand.
This works but it's a complete pain that JellyBean doesn't have pand anymore!? Meaning I can't hope to repeat this with 2 JellyBean devices, only older and newer, or some set of in-the-middle Android versions...

sorry to hear that at least that means its not my fault^^
Ok! I happen to have this this post open in my browser so I thought I would share in my success, however obvious it is.
I managed to get a hold of a 2nd JB device. I tested this with 2 Samsung S4s. On the "master" device go into settings -> Network More... -> Tethering- > Enable Bluetooth sharing. Don't do this on the other device. Then pair the devices like normal. The end device should automatically tether through the 1st "master" device. You'll see a BT icon with brackets around it in the system tray. The BT icon will be lit blue on both devices.
If you get into the adb shell and have iwconfig around, on both devices you'll see a new network called "bt-pan". The "master" device will be a .1 (e.g. 192.168.40.1) while the "slave" will be given a DHCP address from the "master". (e.g. 192.168.40.124)
The "pand" tool set is not longer needed. You can just pair normally with newer devices. If you're pairing an older Android device that has bluetooth but not the bluetooth tether option in setting, like my Lenovo A1 GingerBread (which I keep for testing), you'll need to manually using pand to setup the PAN. There are apps that will do this for you.
Hope this helps.
As I have my phone on me at all times thought I might be able to use it as a trusted device for the tablet? Supposedly lollipop supports android use as Bluetooth LE peripheral but I can't seem to get them to connect in a normal fashion?
I have this working with my LGG2 (running CM11). In order for it to work though, you have to pair the phone to the tablet, then share the phones internet connection. It doesn't seem to be a good solution, as the devices only connect when manually selecting "internet sharing" in the BT phone settings on the tablet.
I'm also trying to accomplish this. Anyone else have a solution for how to use you phone as a trusted device to unlock your lollipop tablet?
As long as I manually established an active Bluetooth connection (by using an app like Tablet Remote) it will stay unlocked, but how can we get a paired trusted phone to establish a connection to a tablet without some sort of manual intervention?
Thanks.
Hi everyone, I got very desperate about this one..
Whenever I turn on Portable Hotspot (WiFi) on my Android 5.1.1, there's always other device that connected to my Hostspot, I managed to get that thief device using Fing..
I change the Hotspot password (I always use very strong password) but after some hours that device is connected again..
How can I restrict number of connected devices or only allowing specific MAC Adrress in Android Lollipop 5.1.1..? It's very annoying that Lollipop doesn't have option for this things.. Is there any 3rd party apps or some way to ban/allow certain MAC addresses..?
And why is that so easy hack a WiFi security WPA2PSK..?
Thanks,
Huh, WPA2 getting cracked that easily?
That is distressing, any insight as to what sort of device it is? I would lock everything down if I had a hacker that obsessed with my hotspot heh.

His device is Samsung (Young 2 if I not mistaken).. Well, that's what I want to ask here, how to lock down "everything"..? Do I really need to change the password everyday..? If only I can restrict who can connect to my Hotspot by MAC address, it will be enough..
Up..
No one know any apps or anything to manage connected devices on Hostspot..?
