Only connect to certain bluetooth devices / disconnect to specific ones - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, little background story:
Im owning a galaxy s6 edge plus and a Mi Band 2.
Whenever the Mi Band is connected with my phone and im playing audio over bluetooth, the sound gets all noisy, there is a little crackling at high frequencies and it doesnt sound good at all.
When the Mi Band is disconnected, it is all right. Same with my Moto 360.
The annoying part is, that, whenever i want to listen to music over bluetooth, i need to unpair my Mi Band with the Mi Fit app and need to repair it afterwards. This is quite time comsuming and simply annoying so my question is:
Is there any app or xposed module or whatever it needs, to simply disconnect from Bluetooth Low Energy devices, since they dont show up in the bluetooth settings?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Nokia 920 Bluetooth/Music problem

My Nokia 920 is paired w/ 2010 toyota camry. I can't seem to play more than one song in the music player while in bluetooth paired mode. I have about 900 songs in the phone and whether I am playing randomly or from a playlist, the first song plays over bluetooth just fine, and then it gets stuck. On the phone, the next song is diplayed but the timer doesn't go anywhere (stuck at 0:00). On the car display, it seems to count up to 4-5 seconds (silence in the background) and then resets to 0 and this happens repeatedly. I can't play another song and the only way seems to be resetting bluetooth. This is definitely a bluetooth problem because w/ a headset the music plays jst fine. Any solutions?
I have had similar issues with Sync in my mustang. Do you have any cloud songs showing or just the ones on the phone? I think I have had fewer issues with My Nokia music playlist than the Xbox music playlist.
I have restarted car, phone. bluetooth. On mine if radio is off it can still connect with bluetooth to phone and receive calls. So have to turn off on phone. It will show connecting as two things. First is phone then music. When song stops hitting next doesn't work. So i go to phone and try another song. Is hit or miss then since there is a delay if the song is in the cloud.
I have a Volvo V50. Bluetooth issues are known for the pre-portico update.
If that is important. Try and upgrade the phone. This made the connection to the Volvo stable and usable.
However.. A big warning is due tough. The portico update made my phone incredibly unstable. So I would not recommend it.

Bluetooth issues like this is still happening on portico 920. It's quite annoying to have to keep pushing pause and then play after every song to hear the next one. If anyone's got a fix, I would give them an e high five.:highfive:
Any fix for this yet?

I have paired my L920 to a multitude of A2DP capable bluetooth devices, none show this issue. Here's a small list of devices I paired it with:
1. Plantronics M155 Headset
2. Digitus DA-30114 Headset
3. Alpine KCE-400BT Bluetooth receiver for my Alpine Headunit (car)
4. Skoda built in Bluetooth (car)
5. Volvo built in bluetooth (not sure which model it was, it was a friends car, pretty recent though, maybe 2 years old)
6+7. Two different random bluetooth receivers from ebay
8+9. Two different random bluetooth speakers from ebay
OS Version 8.0.10211.204
Firmware 1232.5957.1308.0004
Hardware rev. 1.0.0.0
Radio 1.0.202093.3
Chip SOC 8960
I'm using a Blueant Commute and a Jabra Drive, both do it.

Bluetooth problems!

I've searched high and low, seems like no one else is having an issue?! When I connect to my car radio via Bluetooth every once In a while the audio will blank out for 5-10 seconds and never pause. And it would constantly happen. I cleared bluetooth data, unpaired and paired again, shut off WiFi, connected and reconnected again and again.. Nothing works. These things worked temporarily but then would continue the problem. Do I have a bad device or is there a way to fix this??. Please and thank you.
same problem with bracelet iwown i5+
have u tried turn visibility to always visible? i've got issue with my miband pulse too, but after turned on the visibility, it works like charm
I actually think the versions of bluetooth don't match up. I used my phone with a lighter port bluetooth fm transmitter and it works fine. I'll try to keep my visibility to always on and see if that works. If not, I'll just have to connect via aux or USB.. ? thanks!
i have the same problem with my honor 5C and Renault R LINK , do you resolve this ?
its not always ur device ! might be the reception ! make sure to try somewhere else !
I do not have issue with bluetooth with my car. So may be your réception part has something weird...
Did you also clean the cache of bluetooth midi service with Titanium backup for exemple ?
Cleaning it from settings>application did not solve some issue when i had pairing issue.

It is definitely the reception.
On my Honor 5X (L24), I've been getting the same Bluetooth problems with both the stock EMUI 4 ROM and CM13 nightlies ever since I bought the phone. In addition to the Bluetooth audio cutting out randomly, even the pitch of whatever is playing fluctuates. Reception should not be an issue, as I always place my phone right next to the aftermarket radio I installed. These issues do not occur with my Galaxy S4 or Lumia 640, so I believe there is something wrong with the 5X.

Bluetooth Connected - No Sound

Hey everyone,
I've seen a few mentions of this issue but would like to have a thread to specifically discuss it and maybe find a resolution.
After pairing a bluetooth music device for the first time it will play just fine.
Come back some time later, the device reconnects automatically but no sound will play (even though your music app shows that the track is playing).
Turn off bluetooth, or just disable media streaming for the device, turn back on/reenable and sound comes back.
This is an extremely annoying issue that wasn't present on my last Android 5.x.x device. I'll forget about it until I'm driving and then have to wait until I stop to safely restart bluetooth.
Please let's keep this topic reserved for this specific bluetooth issue. If you have a different issue please start another thread.
My device: Spring LG G5 (LS992) on 6.0.1
Notes so far:
Simply restarting the phone doesn't fix it.
Unconfirmed - Happens only after switching bluetooth devices (going from your car, to your home stereo, and then back out in the car). I switch vehicles a lot for my job.
Suggestion here is to clear app data for Google Connectivity Services. Will try today.
Like mentioned in the other topic I might have the same issue on my Nexus 5 (2013) with Android 6.0.1 and parrot carkit. How is your Bluetooth volume on the phone when you start playing music? To me it seemed to be worse when Bluetooth volume was muted actually.

I have the same problem. Came from a G4, which worked fine playing pandora in my car. On my G5, I start pandora on the dash app, it opens on the phone in accessory mode as normal. Everything looks like it's playing ...dash shows what's playing and all, but no sound. I haven't tried the restarting bluetooth/media audio on the bluetooth device settings, but I'll try that after work to confirm it's the exact same problem.
I have been experiencing this issue on my LG G5. I have phone audio, but no media audio. The car display shows whatever is playing on the phone, including the time code as a song advances for instance, but no sound. I have checked in bluetooth settings to ensure both phone and audio are on. I've disconnected and reconnected. It did work 1 time, but that's it. I've had the phone for a little over 2 weeks and its fully updated.
I have the Same issue in my car, everytime i need to disable/Enable Bluetooth to get Sound working.

Bluetooth has been the one problem I have with this phone. I lose connectivity to my Moto 360, my headphones need to be unpaired before I can use them again, it's seriously driving me nuts.
I am having momentary phone audio cut out when using my car BT. The radio will come back on for several seconds and the the phone will come back. I am wondering if the VoLTE function might have something to do with this. I have disabled VoLTE so I can test it although I really have no clue if it is related.
I believe this has to do with having 2 devices connected. The 1st will act as phone connection and the 2nd as audio only. The phone might think for some reason you still are connected to both or you actually have a lot of range in one of them and remains on.
Disabling VoLTE resolved my problem.

First of all let me say that folks are reporting different issues with Bluetooth. Mine was that when connected in my car I would lose phone audio for 10 or 20 seconds repeatedly. The radio audio would come back on and after a while the phone audio would come back.
VoLTE, as I understand it, allows voice and data simultaneouly. I disabled it on my G5 under settings/call/VoLTE. Once you disable it you will no longer see "HD" displayed in you dialer links. My problem resolved completely. I called T-mo this morning and cancelled my replacement handset.

If you disable that, you lose Band 12 in America on T-Mobile, which I need since I drive through some pretty backwoods places where Band 12 is my only way not to switch to Edge.

VoLTE may not even be your related to your problem. I would try disabling it just to troubleshoot.
FYI still having to turn bluetooth off and on very often.
It does only seem to happen when I connect from one device to another i.e. I listen in my car and later that night I use my bluetooth speaker. Phone thinks music is playing on the speaker but no sound from speaker. Turning bluetooth off and back on fixes immediately (after reconnect)

I have Sony xperia z3 and only use Bluetooth with one device and have the same issues. Only started with 6.0 upgrade
I have the same problem on my H850:
When I turn on my headset, it will show "connected to call audio" in Bluetooth settings (my bluetooth is always on due to my Pebble smartwatch). No matter how many times I turn on and off my headset, it will always only connect to call audio, despite the option "use for media audio" being activated. If I unpair it and pair it, it connects to both for this one time, before going back to the previous behavior. If I turn bBluetooth off and on again, it will connect to both call and media audio again for this one time before returning to the previous behavior.
Since it's the intl version, there is no VoLTE option.
Is there a way (settings or using an app) to fix this and force the phone to connect media audio every time?
I have the exact same issue, except that I have an android wear watch.
My only solution so far is disabling call audio for the G5 in the Bluetooth definition, but that really sucks.
Have you found any solution?
This is a known issue with LG G5 and the sad thing is that LG doesn't have a clue. Unpairing and repairing is the only solution until Android 7 upgrade. I went as far as resetting to factory defaults, T-Mobile even replaced my device..same issue. **** SOLVED WITH ANDROID 7 ****
I still have the same issue with it showing as playing with no sound and it continues happening even after the Android 7 upgrade. Issue is intermittent, restarting phone or headset or disabling and reenabling BT are only solutions I've found so far. I confirmed the vol is on high on both device and receiver.
Happens on my Kia Soul, Sony SBH50 and SBH52. The only BT devices I don't seem to have the issue with is my old MW600s, so it may be related to BT version on the headsets. May be related to switching devices sometimes, but I've had it occur when using only one device, but having made a call, or left range with the headset away from my G5. Calls still have audio but Stereo/Media BT profile doesn't operate, even though both ends make it seem as if it does.
Thanks,
Peter

Bluetooth problems

I'm experiencing a lot of disconnects and awful sound quality when connected to my parrot car system. Other phones seem fine so I wonder if the Honor has known issues with bluetooth?
Regards
Same here,
after Update to last official version OTA to Android 8, connection to Parrot mki9200 is well done, but in conversation, Bluetooth disconnects after 15 / 20 seconds and must connect manually.
Same here with sound quality.
But I ve found a solution: go into developer options and change LDAC quality from High sound quality to Adaptive - this resolves the bad sound quality for me, the only thing that it wont save it, so I have to change it everytime I listen to music.
Regarding Bluetooth issues, I had them too with my Mi Band 2. After short period of time, it disconnected my band and I had to open Mi Fit app for this band again and reconnect it.
Only solution I found working is to disable automatic turn off for this app and lock it via "task manager", so it is running all the time in the background. Only downside is that it is really battery challenging.
All started shortly after Oreo update was installed.

Bluetooth Audio issue

I have this little problem with my new Huawei.
(I have a Mate 10 Pro, couldn't find a section for that specific model)
Whenever I connect it to my car or Bluetooth headphones, the audio from my phone will randomly switch from my car speakers or my headphones to the phone speakers. The only way to get it outputting audio through the Bluetooth device again, is by reseting my Bluetooth connection. However, it does this every time and its driving me insane.
Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.
Hello
Try to remove all bluetooth devices associated on your phone.
Then associate Bluetooth with your car
Do not try to associate other devices for the moment.
Then try to listen music from your car to speakers of your car
If it's ok, then associate other devices and try again to watch if all is allright
This is a known bug that has been around since release, there is nothing you could do to fix it.
This is by far worst Bluetooth implementation I ever saw in android
On top of Your problem mine stops sending call logs to the car randomly and restart or re pair are only option to mend it
So strange ! I'have never had problems with bluetooth audio with my car !
Except if decide to receive the conversations sound on my Bluetooth smartwach.
Android don't like to have 2 bluetooth devices connected for sound at the same time
All the top cell phones are having blue tooth issues...just google it. It is not unique to this phone.
I have the same phone and issue and this is still not fixed ! Has someone found a workaround?
My mate 10 Pro works fine in my car, no issues at all. It works fine on Android Auto too. Yet in my parents' car, Android Auto won't work at all; I just get a black screen.
I guess these problems are often between two specific pieces of hardware rather than a general fault with the phone, so quite difficult for manufacturers like Huawei to fix everything. But if I had my parents' car, I'd be pretty pissed!
This is a known issue with EMUI and it has to do with EMUI killing processes in the background in the name of battery optimization. If your music player is in the background or your screen is turned off, EMUI will situationally kill or freeze bluetooth/audio related processes.
If rooted, use either Titanium Backup or Service Disabler to freeze/disable the Power Genius app. This app is responsible for EMUI's battery optimization measures (but the battery life on my Mediapad improved when I disabled it). If not rooted, you might or might not be able to do this via adb.
Other solutions include plugging in a charger, or leaving your screen on.
(edit - you have to reboot after disabling Power Genius, merely disabling it will not immediately change anything)
