Ive been having a look at Galaxy WiFi 5.0 here http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/mp3-digital-audio/mobile-internet-players/YP-G70CW/XEU-features and thinking in terms of media,it does have more feature and so it would need to be as its up against ipod touch so what if we had SoundAlive Music Player on our phone.makes listening to music that much better.you can see it here, you need to fast forward it to about 3:10 to see it action
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvizY73-rA0
its probably not just the music player, theres probably more but we dont know until we extract everything from the firmware http://hotfile.com/dl/123609225/6fc9623/G70JKKE3.rar.html
What does everyone reckon.possible or not possible

Looks interesting, i'd love that player on my SII .
Me to,we just need a decent port to get working
I opened up the firmware and extracted the Music Player apk in the hope that it would work as a rip and install job, tried installing and got the 'overwrite system app?' dialog, pressed yes and it wouldnt work; used root explorer to rename the original music app then moved the new apk to /system/app/ and rebooted...still not installing
Heres the apk on its own for if anyone wants to have a looksie and see if its missing any dependencies or can find whatever is stopping it working:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=957R056Z
Its definitley the one we need, as it has all the resources for Sound Alive enhancements in the /res/ folders etc.
*EDIT* Been poking around and theres a few files in the /lib/ folder of the original firmware that sound (ba dum t'sh) like they are sound related, for example: 'lib_Samsung_Sound_Booster.so'...just clutching at straws haha!

Fantastic work yeah i think itle need to depend on anything sound related thatle be able to make it.might have to try cooking into a stock rom to see if that works

..............bump
I have this device with my right now and i have an SGS2 if you want me to help in some way!
It's rooted and currently running XXKD6, which is only FROYO, the latest available ROM is still FROYO too which may be why it doesn't work?
Would be good to port the SoundAlive app for all Android devices too, I have PlayerPro app but it lacks some 3D depth and spacialisation
I have actually begun doing just that, porting SoundAlive to any ROM, and I have finished porting the APK completely so it no longer relies on the Samsung TouchWiz frameworks and other libraries only available on Sammy roms.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45150100#post45150100
The MusicPlayer apk works, music plays but the SoundAlive isn't kicking in, probably because I have no idea which libraries to copy over in order for it to work. Does anyone have any experience with that?
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...interface-refresh-functionality-enhancements/
Looks like there are different apks based on what version of Jellybean your on...
Pay attention to what version your rom is based on before downloading...or wait a couple of days untill it shows up in your playstore...
Just tried the 4.1 apk with sam's canadian debloated stock telus rom and it works beautifully!!!
It loads super quick and plays very nicely with the navigate function of google search/now...

The link I provided in the op is still good...the downloads are available at the bottom of that page.
But you should be able to get the update from the playstore by now...
Hi, I live in Australia and was enjoying milk music that was recently added support to our country, i was able to listen to the music even device being rooted, until the last update (1.11.150408.09) which now detects the root and stops the app, I tried installing apps like "Hide root" and other apps but no use
Also i just cannot role back by uninstalling as this is not a system app, downloaded from play store:crying:
So i'm wondering if any one can please provide me an APK that was before the stated version (1.11.150408.09) 9/4/15
NOTE: i think there are 2 versions in the play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.mdl.radio&hl=en - for USA
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.radio.au&hl=en - for Asian Countries
i need the asian's version. I tried installing lot of apk's from net and after installing i just get a pop up saying my country is not supported yet (may be the once i found are related to USA)
I'm running stock 5.0.1 on Note 4 (N910G).
This is my second post. So please be kind if i did type something wrong.

There are some issues to run Eleven on AOSP based roms, idk why, but it worked perfectly on LOS14.1 based roms, but still as you are saying parsing related error, try re downloading and give a shot

I pushed it to system/app/Eleven
Rebooted, and it was in the App Drawer. But it would force close.
Logcat showed that it needed librsjni.so.
I copied that lib from LOS14.1 of my phone and it worked in AOSP 7.1.2 normally!
Thanks!!!

(Sorry for late reply)
(Solved)I've installed the app and pasted the libs to their directory... Now app is opening normally but it is not playing songs.... When i tap on a song to listen... Nothing happen on it... Please help
how does work lyrics in this app?
Same thing as anas sami, I'm pressing a song but nothing happens.
If it's not playing the song you have to go into the app. Settings and allow it. To modify system settings and enable. All permissions then restart the app
hey, guys, could you explain how you managed to make it work? I don't see any system/app folders on my device (Meizu 15Lite, 7th version). Even though this seems to work fine, I'd like to make it myself with the original package. Thanks.
ps.
found the folders with root, however still no idea how you've done it. copied 64 lib to lib64 and, just to be sure, the regular arm to lib folder on the system directory.
I've extracted all the apps from a V30 dump I've not tried to install them on my V20 yet but let me know if you find some nice ones.

It would be nice if someone can port the stock launcher with app drawer to a rootless v20.
They released a reworked stock launcher with app drawer on the v30, and we are still running something that belongs to the android Lollipop days.

Let's hop so.
The stock lg v20 apps need an update.
Samsung does a better job at this, they post all their apps on APKmirror, I remember having the s8 launcher, messages app, phone app... installed on my note 5 via apkmirror.
LG's software team is like 2 guys who spend most of their day trying to figure out how to make lg's skin like samsung. (and badly failing at it).
Also, if you read the review, everyone is praising the lgv30 as being the new underdog and whatever, the same as it was with the v20. Non of these reviewers actually use an LG phone, because none of them says anything about the POOR software support. It's terrible.
I know I might not post on topic but anyone know where can I find lg calander and lg clock?
Or someone can post it please
Thx
Would it be possible to install any of these apks in collaboration with the V20 stock apps?
For example; install V30 music player but keep the V20s stock player intact?

Maybe... If you can change the name of the APK. But even then it might have dependencies. Might butt heads

Hmm, I see.. Perhaps it would be possible to backup the stock V20 app in Titanium Backup and then replace with a V30 variant.

Don't know if that will work. Being you have doubles going on and conflicting. Doesn't hurt to try. What's the worst you can do.. won't open, force close..... Try adding a number to file and APK, anything that can create a double just change name by adding number, like, lgcam2 would be the V30. That way it doesn't conflict. Just a thought.

Most like this would require one of the apk versions (v20 or v30) to have edits to the android-manifest of a decompiled apk. Reason being the package name of the apk's rarely change, even it the name of the app does.
So if you included both versions in the system, even if they were named differently, the system would get overloaded when it calls for a package and gets two answers.
Now l if the v30 apk's have new package names this could work without major edits. One way to check the package name is by using Tib and click on the app in question from the list. Then click on the section shown in the screenshots.
If the package names are different, easy stuff for someone to include both version, if the are the same, then you will need someone with more advanced knowledge of modding apks. I do not suggest the later for anyone unless you really know what you're doing.
Good idea though. I may look into adding some of thes options when i have more free time.
If anyone has installed a particualr v30 app and would like to see these options available in an Aroma pa kage or similar mod, post the details and we can put something together!
i've tried the most common way, downloading the system dump. extracting and push to the directory, LgHome, LGeasyhome, and lg backup launcher. set permission and reboot. now lg launcher FC, lol. i've already made a backup of those original apk/odex and restoring them. looks like we need experience porter since copy paste method didnt work.

I am happy to see people are reading and participating in development! That's what this place is about right?
Thank you for the words!
I would like to know if anyone can confirm any of the v30 apps work and if so which ones?
I only ask because I believe the v30 is running UX6 and wouldn't thing many of any apps would work for our older version UI.
I am sure the UX6 port rom would have better luck, but I am not sure since I haven't looked much into this.
Anyways, like I said, glad to see people making backups amd experimenting with different things!
Good job guys!
Btw, how did you create the backup? Just copied the files to a know location and tranger back via recovery or adb?
Or did you create a flashable zip?
If you don't have a flashable zip for easy recovery let me know and I cam send you a template zip and quick instructions on how to create the zip in seconds from your phone.
nahh.. i had no idea about making flashable backup even adb seems little hard for me. for testing launcher i've installer third party launcher and make a copy of everything inside /system folder. and put it back once i messed something

That is one way, however can get very time intense if you are changing out a batch of files with libs, xml etc.
For that I like the zip method. I have went ahead and written a quick tutorial for how to create the flashable zip and uploaded my zip template so you or anyone who needs it.
Check this post.
Good luck and feel free to reply in that thread for any questions
Has anyone tried v30's music player?
Does it has any improvement against v20's?
So do any of these apps work? Anybody tried them?
